  • “Refining the Fruit of Virtue and Moral”

Bishop W Houston's Full Purple Picture Sunday Morning Refining the Fruit of Virtue and Moral.png

Beloved, illustrating spiritual fruit is the exam above all the spiritual examinations given to a true believer.

After facing serious or dangerous situations, I’ve often heard people say, “I saw my entire life flash before my eyes.” Well, that’s the picture we get in our Sunday morning Bible Verse Philippians 1:11.

Beloved, “the fruit of righteousness” refers to what’s formed in you as you activate love, pursue brilliance or quality, and sustain your integrity. It embraces every attitude and achievement consistent with God’s standard of what’s right.

The words “Having been filled” speaks of something that occurred in the past with ongoing results. You see, at your salvation the seeds of virtue and moral were imbedded within you. They bear righteous fruit throughout your lifetime. On the day of Christ, it’s those fruits that will confirm your salvation.

Fruitful productivity has always been the exam above all the spiritual examinations of true salvation. Jesus said in John 8:31: “If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine”. In John 8:31 when John the Baptist admonished his followers to “bring forth fruits in keeping with repentance”, he was speaking of good deeds in verses 10-14. In Eph. 2:10, Paul said we’re God’s workmanship, “created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them”,, John said in 1 John 2:6 (cf) that all who profess Christ should live as He lived.

And one more thing I must add, bearing spiritual fruit isn’t something you can accomplish on your own. It “comes through Jesus Christ” – Phil. 1:11. In John 15:4-5 Jesus Himself said, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing”.

Beloved, you were redeemed to glorify God through virtue and moral conduct. So, as you present yourself throughout this Sunday make virtue and moral conduct your priority. Amen? – Aaamen. 😀

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them – BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! – Have a blessed Sunday Everyone. 😀

  • “God’s Intestinal Fortification Program”

Monday June 3 2019 Let Us Pray James 1 2 thru 4Praise the Lord Beloved, Happy Monday to you. I thank God this morning for allowing me to start the month of June with you. 😀

You know beloved, I have recognized and apprehended that trial and tribulations are part of our Christian lives, “BUT” they were never meant to break us down. God’s purpose for permitting trials to come into our lives is to build us, reconstruct us, help us mature, and make us sturdy. The Apostle James said that we should be joyful when trials come because they produce perseverance.

There are three key elements that we must comprehend.

First, we need to *HAVE THE RIGHT UNDERSTANDING about trials so that they bring us joy. James added that you have to let trials complete its effect to get good results such as becoming mature, complete and don’t lack anything. Second, *YOU HAVE TO FACE TRIALS. Beloved, don’t give up or run away from it. Just like undergoing any training program, you need to complete the program to get the essential skills and abilities that the program offers. And third, when you have become *MATURE AND COMPLETE because of trial and tribulations you can help others who are undergoing trials. So, don’t run away from trials, instead, FACE THEM. After all, God will not allow trial and tribulations that you can’t bear. Remember, it’s His intestinal fortification program designed just for you. Amen? Aaamen. 😀

  • “Retaliation Isn’t Worth It”

    Monday 8 2019 Let Us Pray Bible Verse exodus 21 23 24 3131
Praise the Lord Everyone. Happy Monday to you all. 😀

I’ve painstakingly read the Bible from the Old Testament to the New Testament. I’m very mindful that when Jesus came into the history of the Bible, He started His historical period focusing on grace and taught abundantly about love. There are many Christians I know only read the “New Testament.” They aren’t familiar with the Old Testament because (it’s sad but true), they find it uninteresting, dull and are indifferent and unconcerned about it. So, when they encounter a passage like this morning’s Bible verse, they’d get perplexed. This is only a nugget of the law and according to Romans 6:14 we’re not under it anymore but under grace. Jesus instructs us not to retaliate when someone strikes us on the right cheek, Matthew 5:39 He tells us to turn the other cheek (Matthew 5:39). This is very passive, because doing nothing to someone we don’t get along with isn’t easy. Jesus takes it up a little further and on another level. In Luke 6:31 He commands us: “do to others as you would have them do to you.” And according to John 13:34: “love one another as He has loved us.” It would be awesome if we all followed these principles.

“Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. No one knows the hour or day when that gust of wind will past through and blow out their earth lights. So today, reach out and let those you love know that you love them.

BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE, TOO LATE.”

    I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

    Have a blessed Monday Everyone.

  • “Spiritual Assignment Location”

Wednesday 4 3 2019 Let Us Pray Bible Verse Matthew 28 19 through 20 Spiritual assignment location
Good morning and Happy Wednesday Everyone.

Sometimes we hear ministers talk about their ministries in other locations, (cities, states, and countries) and wonder what it’s like, traveling to other areas or countries to reach the lost. As Christians, we have been assigned with the Gospel and have been told to spread it far and wide. Now, I’m sure there are many ministers that will say “That’s Awesome – for those that have been blessed financially.” Some of you ministers are like me, can’t always jump up and buy a plane ticket to other distance cities nor other countries. We have responsibilities. But that shouldn’t stop us from spreading the Good News. For many of you ministers God has planted you where He needs you to be – this doesn’t mean it’s your permanent location. To find your present spiritual assignment location, just look down and see where your feet are planted. Are you a mother with small children at home? Your spiritual assignment location maybe your home, and the minds of your children, whom the Lord has assigned you to train up in the way they should go. Do you work outside the home? Your spiritual assignment location maybe your place of employment which includes your coworkers, customers, and bosses. Your spiritual assignment location could be on social media as a – morning greeter, inspirational or devotional deliverer, prayer warrior, spiritual teacher or sharing a post of love, joy, happiness, wisdom and knowledge. Beloved, for some, being a minister doesn’t always mean traveling across the city, from city to city or to other countries nor speaking a different language. We can do the Lord’s work wherever we are. That means spreading the gospel message far and wide and to as many people as you can. You have a responsibility to do it wherever you are, even if that only spans a few city blocks or your living room.

    Have a blessed Wednesday Everyone.

  • “Need a Boost?”

    Tuesdasy 4 2 2019 Let Us Pray Bible Verse Isaiah 41 10 Need a Boost.png
Praise the Lord Beloved!!! Happy Tuesday. 😀

If you’ve ever lived in an area where frigid cold weather occurs, you know there’re times you need to “jump start” your car. Since moving to the Midwest I’ve experience this unpleasant situation a time or two. The cold drains the battery and occasionally it needs that additional boost from a jump start or battery charger to get you going on your way.
Beloved, what about our Godly lives? As Christians, we too need a “boost” every now and then. It’s easy to become satisfied “content” in our Christian lives and duties. Unless we’re absorbed in His Word daily, chances are we too, are in need of a recharge. I know when I have read or studied God’s Word, I come away refreshed and resuscitated. It puts me back on track and helps me focus on what His will is for me. I know in my heart I want eternal life with Him, but sometimes I need a reminder to focus, study, and live His Word.
Beloved, the Bible isn’t like a favorite book to be put on a bookshelf only brought out on occasions. It should be front and center in our lives every day.
    Have a Blessed Tuesday. 😀
  • “Spiritual Establishment”

Bishop Houston's Monday Morning Blog Dont allow doubt to bully you
    Good Morning Beloved!!!

You know, we all need to be covered by something or someone. Being covered gives you: power, protection, and provision. We were created to be in relationship with God. The closer you get to God, the more intimate – friendlier the encounter becomes. From that first warm encounter God has covered us. God’s divine covering sustains us. It nurtures us. When we go into the tent of the tabernacle, we’re going into the meeting place. We’re running in to a spiritual establishment.

I want you to know that when we run in to our spiritual establishment it allows God to provide for us. God has provided a spiritual establishment for your sin through Jesus Christ. He died for us so that we can live for Him!!! In Deuteronomy 29:5  it tells us that the spiritual establishment of God is so strong that it protected the Israelites’ clothes from wearing out in the wilderness. Beloved, God can do the same for you. He’s providing you with a spiritual establishment. He wants to continue to provide for you. He wants you to survive your wilderness experience(s). His power lives in us, so allow it to work within you.

    Have a blessed week Everyone.
  • “It’s Time to Mature!!!”

CHOF Ministry Expressions for Today Bishop Houston 2 12 2019
    1 Peter 2:2 (AMP)
Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation.

This morning I visited a daycare, and let me tell you, it takes a special person for that job. 😀

The room was filled with babies. Infants crying. Baby’s crawling and screaming for certain toys. Toddlers pushing and whining to get their way. Lord, let me tell you, my nerves was shot when I left there.

But after I left there the spirit of the Lord showed me something. Spiritual Babies. For the past several months once a week I’ve been meeting with 15 young men and women that attend Cleveland State University for lunch. All pretty much are spiritual babies. When we get together it’s just about the same way it was at that daycare. Everyone has a question, or wants attention, or want to share their experiences. Now, let me say right here, there’s nothing wrong with being a spiritual baby. All of us start out that way. When we’re first born into the kingdom of God, we’re much like physical newborns. We’re not very strong or well developed. We have slip ups while trying to learn how to operate in our new environment. That’s how we all have to begin. But God never meant for us to stay that way.
That’s why in 1 Peter 2:2 He says we should ” crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow….”
Beloved, God intends for us to be complete so we can become productive!!! He intends for us to feed on His Word, moving from the milk of the Word to the meat of the Word until we have totally matured into developed and established sons and daughters.
Beloved, it’s time to change your diet, it’s time to find your nourishment in His Word and enjoy the reward of completely maturing in Him!!!
Have a blessed Tuesday Everyone. 😀
  • “Daddy”

    Weekend Words Daddy
Praise the Lord Beloved!!! Happy Friday to you all. 😀

One Sunday after a Men’s Gospel musical a friend of mine and I stepped outside to go home and were suddenly awed by the beauty around us. It was one of those crisp, clear winter nights when the brilliance of the moon and stars nearly takes your breath away. Born and raised in Texas you don’t get to see all the seasons. So even after being here in the Midwest over a decade I’m still in awe when it comes to the different seasons.

Anyway, I said to my friend, “Adam, will you look at that!!!” Then he looked up with one of those Holy Ghost whole-face smiles and with a voice full of tenderness said, “My Daddy made that!!! I also have a dear spiritual Sister Tina Lewis who don’t have a problem telling you about the goodness of her “Daddy”.

“Daddy….” I’ll never forget the way he said that, and I smile each time my spiritual sister says it.

Beloved, some people might think he or she shouldn’t be talking in such familiar terms about God, but they’d be wrong. It’s scriptural to talk that way about Him.:-D The Aramaic word for father—Abba—is used several times in the New Testament. The most accurate translation for that word in English is “Daddy.” It’s a word that signifies closeness. It speaks of a relationship that’s been developed through time spent together.

“Father” is one thing. “Daddy” is another. When I was growing up, my father was sometimes my “Father” and sometimes my “Daddy.” When we were playing catch in the backyard or playing board games he was “Daddy.” When he gave me instructions he meant to be obeyed instantly, he was “Father.”

Beloved, God is like that too. He’s your Father and He’s your Daddy. There are times you’ll be very serious and down to business with one another. Other times you’ll be more lighthearted. But either way, once you fellowship with Him enough to get to know Him, I guarantee, you’ll want to be close to Him all the time.

So this weekend Beloved, why don’t you spend some time to get to know our heavenly “Daddy”?

Have a Blessed Weekend Everyone. 😀

  • “Be Careful With Your Words”

Weekend Words Be Careful with Your Words.png
Praise the Lord Everyone!!! Happy Friday to you. 😀

You know Beloved, it was simple words from God to bring light to this world. Four simple words. This is a twofold revelation. First, God’s able to bring His own light into every feature of our lives if we submit to Him and walk according to His ways. Remember, God only used four words to revolutionize the world, so it will not take Him a long time to bring light into any dark situation in our lives. Once we have received His light, we should allow it to discharge it’s illumination for everyone around us to benefit. Second, always remember the words we use have an effect on our situations and prayer is powerful. We need to carefully guard our tongues to ensure we’re always speaking with complete spiritual (moral) balance regardless of the tempests in life that we face.

Beloved, this weekend let us not allow any situation, make us forget, lay down our religion (spirituality) or elude that we’re made in the image of the Lord and our words should mirror those of our Heavenly Father.

Have a blessed weekend Everyone. 😀

  • “Unka Burnie Speaks – Get Somewhere”

Unka Burnie Speaks- Standing in the Gap

    “Unka Burnie Speaks”

Beloved, this morning, I must fulfill my spiritual obligation to stand in the gap for those that are too weak, those that are confused and those that are being overwhelmed by some kind of tactical maneuver. I’m joining forces with their “FAITH” to stand up, step out, and take charge in their spirit and demand the fear they’re facing leave them immediately.

RIGHT NOW IN THE NAME OF JESUS, FAITH IT’S YOUR TIME!!! STAND UP, STEP TO THE FRONT AND SHOW OUT!!! FEAR – GET SOMEWHERE!!! INTIMIDATION- GET SOMEWHERE!!! ALL ANXIETY- GET SOMEWHERE!!!

IN THE NAME OF JESUS – FEAR LEAVE THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE WOUNDED AND SUBMERGED!!!
