  • “God’s Spiritual Stealth”

    12 16 2019 Philippians 1 6 God's Spiritual Stealth

Peace to all of you who are in Christ.

Beloved, allow me to ask you a question: “Have you ever prayed for God to adjust your heart?” You know, change your mind or attitude on something. Perhaps you asked Him to provide you insight, comprehension, or to educate you – give you greater detail about something in particular. Well, I sure have. 😊 there were times in my life I expected things to happen immediately, but then a week goes by and from my point of view nothing seemed to have changed. Well, this morning I want you to be encouraged!!!😊 Because God awards that form of prayer!!! One day you’ll look back at all God has instructed you about that issue or question and you’ll comprehend that He was working on your heart and that all along He was educating you without you seeing it. God’s Spiritual Stealth is always working. 😊

Beloved, transformation, and understanding come with time, so don’t be disappointed if you’re not where you want to be right now. Whether you recognize, understand it or not, God’s working!!! The Christian life is an expedition and this moment is only one tiny part of it. You can be confident when I say to you that He’ll finish the work He has started in you.

    Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, You’re a terrific teacher. Thank You for educating us in a way we’ll comprehend, whether we know You’re doing it or not!!! In Jesus’ name, I pray,
    Amen and Amen. ✝️❤️😊

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will enter our earthly room and blow out our candle. So, reach out and touch the ones that need your agape, dissolve the divisions among you, continue to encourage one another, be united in the same mind, the same reasoning and continue to build one another up.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a great Monday and a SENTIONAL week. ✝️❤️😊

  • “Re-imaging Your Mind”

    12 11 2019 Col. 1 9 10 Godly Imaging
Praise the Lord!!! Happy Wednesday. 😀

Beloved, are you familiar with the term “what you put in is what you get out or input and output?” Our mind is similar to a computer what you feed into a computer is what you’ll get out. What you program into your mind will be the image of your conduct. That’s why you must expose your mind to things that are correct, admirable, decent, genuine, wonderful, of good reputation, exceptional, and praiseworthy (*1). In other words, you must spiritually re-image your mind to get Godly performance. I heard a preacher say: “You should be so drenched with God’s Word that your blood is ‘bibline.’ If you cut yourself, you should bleed Bible verses!!!” His overemphasis shows his zeal for God’s truth. This is the passion every believer should disclose.

Paul prayed that we would “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; [and be] strengthened with all power . . . for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father” (*2).

Those are fantastic Christian attributes, but you must know how they’re achieved in order to receive them to be used. Verse 9 gives us the solution: “…ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.” Now, the Greek word translated “filled” speaks of influence or control. It’s the same word Paul uses in Ephesians 5:18: “Be filled [controlled by] the Holy Spirit.” Once you’re filled with the Spirit, He regulates your decisions. Similarly, when you’re filled with the knowledge of God’s will, your preferences mirror godly wisdom and understanding. The phrase “spiritual wisdom and understanding” implies more than simply knowing God’s Word. It speaks of utilizing it to your life under the Spirit’s power and direction.
Beloved, as you prayerfully saturate your mind with God’s Word, it begins more and more to control your thinking and behavior. This engages the Spirit to apply the Word, rejuvenate your mind, and safeguard you from worldly compliance, thoughts and behaviors (*3). Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

CHOF Ministry’s Mid-Week Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, please allow the Holy Spirit to regulate every aspect of our life today as we carefully utilize the proper biblical principles to every situation we face. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Amen.

Beloved life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone you love and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a “Remarkable” Wednesday. 😀

  • “Subject to Modification”

11 12 2019 2019 “Don't stay put.pngBHMSS Biblical Passage for the day – 2 Corinthians 4:18 (AMP) – So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable.

Praise the Lord Beloved. Happy Tuesday to you. 😀

Beloved, don’t centralize your focus on what you can instinctively see and recognize in this world. Everything you see is temporal and subject to modification. Put your trust, belief, and confidence in the unseen eternal realm. The things which are eternal aren’t subject to transformation.

The Word of God is eternal, and it contains many pledges that cover any situation you’ll ever face. No matter what happens in this unstable, fluctuating world you live in, those pledges will forever be the same.

Regardless of how you’re feeling, the Word will always say, “By His stripes, you were healed” (*1). No matter how bad your bank account looks, the Word will always say, “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (*2).

Don’t stay put or do things because the world says you have to or believe what the world says you can and cannot have. Lay hold of what the Word says you can do and can have. Center your devotion on the eternal truths of God and look not to the things which are seen. After all, they’re subject to modification!!! Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing us to see this new day. Help us keep our focus on You and Your unchanging hands. In Jesus’ mighty precious name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.

  • “Properly Prioritize God”

    10 25 2019 Bishop Houston's Weekend Words Matthew 6 33 & Psalm 16 11
I’m sure we all agree that there are a lot of things that requisition our attention. Requisitions such as work, our families, household responsibilities, and more. At the core of all of that, there’s God. Now, if we say or have a mentality to put God first, our priorities should replicate that.

Now, perhaps there’s someone out there asking: “What does that mean Bishop Houston?”  if you’re out there asking that question – Well, I’m glad you ask!!! 😀 It means if we’re not able to wash a load of clothes so we can spend time with God, so be it. It means if we won’t be able to hang out with our friends to go to a spiritual Christian event we want to attend, oh well. It means, if we’ll miss out on watching our favorite TV show or sporting event on TV that will be the top subject the next day, we’ll just have to miss it. God understands all the things we have to do daily, “BUT” that doesn’t mean He should get pushed to the side or put on the back burner.

Beloved, as we head into this weekend if your house is out of order it’s time to think about getting your situation prioritized properly. If you want God to prioritize you in your time of need, properly prioritize Him first.

    Weekend Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father today help us recognize the improper position of our requisition. Help us to re-prioritize by embedding You as the core of our mentality first. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.

Have a great Friday and a “Lovely” Weekend Everyone!!! 😀

  • “Examine Your Spiritual Teachers”

    8 22 2019 Bishop Houston's Weekend Words 1 john 4 1

    Happy Friday!!! 😀
There are many that come into the Christian faith that wants to be recognized as a new person doing new things, you know: “OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW” and as the euphoria continues they now want to preach or teach the Word of God not realizing that many are watching and critically critiquing them. :-D.
Beloved, have you ever read or heard something from a preacher, or Bible teacher and wonder what they’re saying is correct? If you haven’t, you should!!! You know, since I’ve become an advocate for the Kingdom of God I’ve been challenged on just about every front or put through a barrage of test constantly especially from those that knew me from my “past”. First, when I received salvation, then when I went into the ministry, and then when I started my ministry. I’m critically critiqued daily.
As spiritual leaders/teachers, we all want to be received, but part of being received is being able to receive the barrage of questions and doubts about our spiritual rehabilitation and critically critiqued when we deliver a spiritual word. As a minister of God’s Word, I’ll be the first to tell you I’m not perfect and I’m sure even the most appreciated and respected preachers and teachers will tell you they’re still learning and aren’t going to get everything 100% right all the time. Beloved, there’s nothing wrong with questioning any man or woman that announces a spiritual word. There’re many false teachers out there. So, if you’re ever in doubt or have a question about something a preacher/pastor, Sunday school teacher, or Christian spiritual leader is sharing, one of the best ways to know whether something is truly from God, read your Bible!!! 😀 The more familiar you are with scripture, the more you’ll be able to identify the men and women clergy of God and false teachers. They’ll stand out like pepper on white rice. Now, I want you to keep in mind that even if someone gets something wrong now and then, that doesn’t automatically make them a false teacher. 😀 Discernment is key to determining whether someone just slipped up, is ill-informed, or they’re intentionally leading others astray.
Beloved, as you go into this weekend, ask God for discernment about those that lead Christian flocks, Christian ministries, and those that share spiritual words.
Dear Heavenly Father, please give us discernment as we hear teachings or read devotional content, so we can know what’s from You and what’s not. Thank You that we have Your word as a guide.
In Jesus Name we pray. Amen and Aaamen.
Beloved, it’s been another great week for CHOF Ministry and Bishop, W. F. Houston, Jr. Ministry. Thank you so much for allowing us to stimulate your week. First Lady Donece and I appreciate those of you that continue to inbox, email and call us with your praise reports and encouraging words. It really warms our heart each day to hear how God is moving in your life.
Have a blessed Weekend Everyone. 😀
  • Even the Demons Tremble”

    8 14 2019 James 2 18 20.png
Praise the Lord Believers in the Christian faith.

You know recently I’ve seen an alarming rise in the number of confessing Christians who believe that there’s no required relationship between what they believe and what they do. They say you can’t judge a person’s spiritual condition by what he or she does because salvation is a matter of faith alone, you know, as if requiring works violates the principle of faith.

But you know Beloved, it was that kind of perception that provoked James to issue this challenge “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds (works)? I will show you my faith by my good deeds (works).” (*1). The word “show” translated in the Greek means “to exhibit,” “verify,” or “put on display.” Beloved, his point is simple: it’s impossible to verify true faith apart from holy living because doctrine and deed (work) are attached – they’re inseparable.

Now, allow me to ask you a question – Can you know if someone is a Christian by watching his or her behavior? According to James, that’s the only way to know!!! In verse 19 he says, ” for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror.” In other words, confirming orthodox doctrine isn’t necessarily proof of saving faith. Demons believe in the oneness of God, and its implications fill them with fear terror, but they aren’t saved. 😀 The phrase “Good for you” is intentionally sarcastic. The implication is that demonic faith is better than non-responsive faith because at least the demons trembling, is better than no response at all.

Beloved, you can’t be a Christian in creed only!!! You must be one in conduct as well!!! James makes that very clear. Don’t be confused or deceived by those who teach something different. Repeatedly aim your life at bringing glory to God through obedient application of biblical truth.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a Delightful Wednesday.

  • “Circumventing Spiritual Misconception”

    Wednesday 7 3 19 2019 Let Us Pray James 1 22

In Matthew 7 verses 21-23 you’ll find it chronicles the sad results of spiritual misconception. Jesus says: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’”

Beloved, Jesus made a strong pulsating dissimilarity between those who just claim to be Christians and those who actually are. The difference is, true believers do the will of the Father. In the words of James, they’re doers of the Word, not just hearers who deceive themselves. “Hearers” in James 1:22 translates a Greek word that speaks of auditing a class. Auditing students go to class and listen to the instructor but don’t do any work. So, they don’t receive credit for the course. The phrase “delude themselves” speaks of being persecuted by one’s own defective reasoning. People who listen to God’s Word but never obey it are spiritual auditors who delude themselves by thinking that hearing the Word is all God requires of them. Unfortunately, many churches and ministries are full of these people. They attend services and hear the sermons, but their lives never seem to change. They’re content to hear the Word but they never apply it. Like those whom Jesus condemned in Matthew 7, they’ve chosen “religious” activities over true faith in Christ.

You’re in a sad situation to think you’re saved, only to hear. Matthew 7:23 (AMP) says: And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].

Beloved, that will never happen if you’re a doer of the Word.
    Amen? – Aaamen. 😀

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.

Beloved, once again, I thank God for you. You all are truly my inspiration. 😀

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have an “Awesome” Wednesday.
  • “The Messenger’s Feet Are Beautiful”

    Monday 7 1 2019 Let Us Pray Isaiah 52 7
Praise the Lord Beloved!!! Happy New Month. 😀

This morning I’m starting the month of July encouraging everyone of you that share in the ministry by spreading the word of God to “KEEP ON KEEPING ON!!!” :-D. The eyes of God will never look past the messenger’s feet who took courage in proclaiming the Gospel. The places we go and the people we’ve talked to aren’t the reasons why we’re beautiful in God’s eyes. It’s the messages that we bring with us, the annunciation of the Gospel. The flow of blessings in our lives will not be terminate and the protection we’ve acquired won’t be negotiated. Though crisis may arise at times, God’s attention is upon us. We may go through issues and intemperate circumstances, but God will be with us.

Beloved, harassment may come, but God will not allow us to be put to shame, but His justice will prevail, and His people will delight in Him. Amen – Aaamen. 😀

  • “Father’s Day”

    Weekend Words Father's Day.png
“Praise the Lord Beloved. 😀 Happy Friday to you all. 😀

Beloved, as we all know Father’s Day is Sunday. And it’s a day we honor our fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and all the other men who have played an important role in our lives, whether natural or spiritual.

Whoever that person is in your life, his role comes directly from God, Genesis 18:19 says: “For I have chosen him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice”.

Beloved, this Father’s Day weekend let’s praise the men who have taken on the role of fathering through educating, mentoring, and providing an illustration of how to live a life of faith. Let’s thank the Lord for His goodness in bringing these men into our lives.

Have a blessed Friday and a Fantastic Father’s Day Weekend. 😀

  • “Overcoming Evil with Love and Exemplified Courtesy”

Monday 5 10 2019 Let Us Pray Overcoming Evil With Love and Exemplified CourtesyPraise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀 Happy Monday to you all. 😀

You know Beloved, the Holy Bible instructs us to love and exemplify courtesy toward our enemies. Matthew 5:44 (NLT) says: “But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you. The Word commands us (Matthew 5:39-41) to turn the left cheek when someone slaps our right one. We’re to give our shirt if anyone wants to sue us and also present them with our best clothing item. 1 Peter 3:9 and Romans 12:17 instructs us: “DON’T” repay abuse for abuse but repay it with a blessing”. Romans 12:20 says if your enemy is hungry, feed them and give them a drink when they’re thirsty.

I have a clergy associate who’s a very strong guy in the Word. He had several others under his spiritual covenant who were following the guidelines of his ministry and progressing rather well – all but one. This young man wanted to run the church “he wanted the church” so he inserted uneasiness and provoked scrupulous tactical maneuvers to clown the pastor. This was not a good look for the pastor, or his leadership role.

So, after a few months of this associate minister’s antics the pastor finally got fed up and called a meeting with a couple of powerful deacons and other associate ministers and reprimanded him. They got into a “VERY HEATED” argument and it almost came to blows. One day I rode with the pastor to go visit a friend in the hospital, on our way we saw him pulled over – he had a flat tire. The pastor and I looked at each other and he turned around and we went too his aide. Once we got there, we found out he didn’t have a spare tire. So, we took him and his tire to an automotive shop to get the tire repaired. He asked the clerk how much it would be to repair his tire. The clerk quoted him the price and he did not have the amount to pay the fee. Beloved, without soliciting the young man’s consent, the pastor paid the repairman directly the exact amount. That gesture repaired any tension or animosity between them and to this day, they’re good friends.

Undeniably, to overcome evil with the same is catastrophic, but overcoming evil with love and exemplified courtesy brings lasting peace and joy. Amen-Aaamen. 😀

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them,
BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.
