You know Daddy, as I sit here and reflect on your special day, I want to say thank you for paving the pathway for me to focus on and walk on each and every day. I was not that model son when I was very young. But as I’ve got older it’s that pathway you created that has helped me to understand how to morally stand and become a better man. There’s not a day that goes by, that I don’t recite your words of wisdom to me, “Jr., Nothing Beats an Effort but Another Try”. The world doesn’t know you or the sacrifices for us you made, but, that’s OK because from my platform they’ll know I love you and miss you as I salute you on your Special Day.
