  • “Put On Your Blessings Pt. 2”

Bishop' inspirational word” Week 3 Put on Your Blessing Pt 2Beloved,
when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
there will be many people past and present that will criticize your walk in Christ.
They will judge you, they will find fault in just about everything you do as you walk in your salvation.
And the ironic part about this is many of them know your previous struggles and many have no idea what it took for you to get to where you are today.

The ones that saw you in your struggles won’t praise God for your new morals because they enjoyed your previous immoral actions being their central conversational piece. So instead of blessing you with good will they will try to keep your new status hid and distance themselves from establishing peace with you.
So the 2nd part of your life isn’t essential to them.

Then there are the people who come in at the end and they see you blessed, and prosperous and healthy, and sober and free and happy and they want to judge you and criticize.

But the problem is, they missed the 1st part.

You see beloved none of them “Past or Present” didn’t see the sacrifices you’ve made. They didn’t see the struggles that you endure. They didn’t see the battles that you’ve fought. The times you felt like giving up but you kept pressing forward. The nights that you stayed up and prayed and believed and gave and served. They didn’t see the price that was paid to get you to where you are.

The blessings you put on today may look free, but the truth is
    “IT COST YOU SOMETHING”.

    Beloved,
as long as you’re putting on your blessings people are gonna talk.
But that’s their business not yours. Your business is to put on God’s blessings
    and wear His blessings well.

Jesus Christ has paid the price!!! The seed has been sown. You have been set free.
    John 8:36 (NLT) says:
36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

God honors your past, your convictions, your sacrifices and your authenticity.

So don’t let “ANYONE” make you feel guilty for the favor, the honor, the peace
AND the victory that God has given you.

    “To God Be the Glory!!!”

  • “Put On Your Blessings”

Bishop' inspirational word” Week 3 Put on Your Blessing.png

    Beloved,
when you’re blessed, the haters will come out. When you step up to a new level, nasty things will be said about you, in other words the backbiters will come out of the wood work like rats and roaches in a filthy house.

When you put on God’s blessings you look good!!! So don’t be surprised if the blessings you’re wearing draws jealousy out on people.

    Beloved,
you can be humble and not be arrogant and say, “Today I’m gonna put on God’s blessings and I’m gonna look good, in spite of who doesn’t like it!!!
I’m gonna take this promotion in spite of who gets jealous,
I’m gonna continue my ministry regardless what other people may say or think.
I’m gonna put on these beautiful material blessings and wear them in spite
    of who gets envious.
I’m gonna drive this brand new vehicle in spite of who criticizes,
I’m gonna buy this new home, move into this new apartment,
I’m gonna move into this nicer neighborhood in spite of who judges me.

    Beloved,
life is way too short to worry about what everybody thinks. If family or friends get jealous and judge you and are critical, you need to first pray for them then back away from that (or those) family members
and find you some new friends, because:
True family and friends celebrate you.
True family and friends encourage and cheer you on.
True family and friends are happy when you succeed.

So smile and be happy when you put on and wear the blessings God has given you.

    “To God Be the Glory!!!”

  • Allowing Jesus to Be Primary “Purified Heart”

Bishop' inspirational word” Week 2 Purified Heart.pngPraise the Lord Beloved!!!

As I said on Monday and Tuesday
Jesus needs to be the chief principle in everyone’s life especially believers.
I have given you 2 of 3 principles why Jesus needs to have the primary place in your life.
    1. Quiet Spirit.
    2. Strong Faith

The third principle is a “Purified Heart”.

    Beloved,
a purified heart is a reflection of who you are in Christ. When reading your Bible you find that the scriptures is like a mirror that reflects back to us who we truly are and reveals where we need to change. According 1 John 1:9, when we confess our sin, God promises to cleanse us from all unrighteousness purifying our heart (mind and emotions).

    Beloved,
today prepare your mind and emotions to reflect the words of God.

None of us knows what’s in our tomorrow, only God knows.
God wants to prepare us for the future and these 3 principles
    will help you get ready.

    To God be the glory.

  • Allowing Jesus to Be Primary “Strong Faith”

Bishop' inspirational word” Week 2 Allowing Jesus To be Primary Strong Faith
    Praise the Lord Beloved!!!

As I said on Monday Jesus needs to be the chief principle in everyone’s life especially believers. I gave you 1 of 3 principles why Jesus needs to have the primary place in your life.
    1.  A Quiet Spirit.

The second principle is a “Stronger Faith”.
Beloved, studying the scriptures will enlarge your view of God and give you insight and direction. Reading how the Lord has helped others, will help you gain confidence and believe that He’s at your side, enabling you to meet life’s demands.

Beloved, with strong faith you’ll see God working on your behalf.
When Christ has the primary place in your life, you’ll experience many blessings.

    To God Be the Glory.

  • Allowing Jesus to Be Primary “Quiet Spirit”

Week 2 Allowing Jesus To be Primary Quiet Spirit.png

    Praise the Lord Beloved
    and Happy New Week!!!

Beloved, Jesus needs to be the chief principle in everyone’s life especially believers.
This week I’ll give you 3 reasons why Jesus needs to have the primary place in your life.

You know beloved, when Christ has the primary place in our lives, we’ll experience many blessings. One of these blessings is a “Quiet Spirit”.
As we turn our attention to the Lord and meditate on His Word, according to Psalm 23:2
He “leads us beside quiet waters,” where we find rest for our soul.

Beloved, the Holy Spirit will help us shut out the “sounds” of worldly distractions so He can provide assurance of our Father’s love and support.

Beloved, let your life demonstrate what it means to give Jesus the primary place.

    To God Be The Glory!!!

  • “God Will Recalculate Your Destination”

“God Will Re-route Your Destination” Week 1
    Praise the Lord Beloved.

You know in today’s society most motor vehicles come equipped with a navigation “GPS” System. I have one. I can program it to take me to a certain location.

All along the way, the announcer will give me instructions,
“Turn left in a quarter of a mile. Take this freeway three miles. Exit in one mile.”
But at times I’ll miss my exit, make a wrong turn or go another way. The navigator doesn’t come on and start yelling at me saying: “Hey stupid you’re going the wrong way!!!” It just recalculates an alternate route for me.

Beloved, it’s the same way with God. When you have a heart to please Him,
you may miss an exit, you may make a wrong turn or go another direction
but God has already recalculated another route for you.

He’s still going to get you to where you’re supposed to be.
He loves you with an endless love, and when you look for Him with
your whole heart, no matter where you are in life,
    “God will recalculate your destination!!!”

    To God Be the Glory!!!

  • “The Strength Inside”

    The Strength Inside Week 1

    Beloved,
I want to tell you that you’re as good as you’ll ever be.
You’re as good as you’ve ever been, and you won’t ever be any better than you are.”
Now I know to some of you this is discouraging words.

And I’m sure there are many of you asking:
What are you talking about Bishop Houston?

    “WELL I’M GLAD YOU ASKED!!!

     Beloved,
many have grown up believing a falsehood,
a falsehood that says that Christians are to pour their effort

into turning their flesh around and doing right all the time.

    But that isn’t true.

Beloved, God never intended for you to get better, because you can’t improve flesh.
But the Holy Spirit, who is living inside you, will enable and live through you.”

You see, our flesh hasn’t changed one bit. But the Holy Spirit releases His supernatural power in our life, and we find ourselves going beyond what’s characteristic to the nature of man.

So that’s why He indwells every follower of God.

Now, although the works of the Holy Spirit are many, there’re four basic elements to the life of faith:

    (1) The Spirit illumines the mind, enabling Christians to understand the things of God.
    (2) He energizes physical bodies to serve the Lord.
    (3) He enables the will to follow through on doing what is right.
    (4) He quickens emotions to feel and express the fruit of the Spirit.
    (Fruits of the spirit-Gal. 5:22-23)

    Beloved, the flesh is insufficient.

Only the Holy Spirit living inside us has the strength and wisdom
to live out the Christian life victoriously.
That’s why God gave Him to us.

  • “Purposeful Blessing”

    Purposeful blessings Week 1.png

    Praise the Lord Beloved. 😀

    You know beloved,
Our God rewards those who seek Him!!!
You see, when you keep God first place and do your best to honor Him, the Scripture says,
“His blessings will chase you down and overtake you.”

That means you will come into increase, promotion and good breaks that you didn’t necessarily deserve.

That’s God rewarding you for walking in His ways.
We can see this principle in the Old Testament with Ruth.
She was out in the fields following behind the workers and gathering up the leftover wheat that they missed. She was trying to take care of her mother-in-law, Naomi, but they were barely surviving. One day, the owner of the fields told the workers to leave handfuls of wheat on purpose for Ruth. Ruth came into blessings that were simply dropped at her feet. 😀

    Friends,
every one of us can look back and see times where God has left us handfuls on purpose. Something that we didn’t deserve or even ask for. We just stumbled into it.
    That’s “Purposeful Blessing”.”

    Beloved,
I encourage you to always keep your expectancy up. Keep trusting God and obeying His voice because He is ready to bless you in unexpected ways today!!! 😀

Have a blessed day everyone. 😀
