    You know Beloved, I personally feel the problem with our world today is there’s just not enough love!!!

    I believe (with all that I am) the only way that our problems and the problems of the world can be solved, is by applying love. There’s a Bible scripture Matthew 22 that tells us to first love God with everything that we are and then second to love our neighbor like we love ourself!!!

    “WHOOP THERE IT IS!!!”

    Beloved, that’s our answer!!! 😀 You see, if we’ll completely love God with our mind and emotions, we’ll develop will power to love our neighbors.

    You see true love the way God designed it, is just like the power outlets in our home, if we plug into the source we’ll get an electrical impulse  that will travel all over our body which will outwardly produce the fruit of the spirit that’s mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23.

    Beloved, this weekend find you a true power outlet that’s serviced by the power of God’s love. You’ll find that it’s the resource we all need to help change the current energy into a conducive world that we’re all looking for.

    Praise the Lord Beloved!!! Happy Monday to you. I hope you had a wonderful weekend and a joyful Sunday.

    This morning I was led by the Holy Spirit to read Ephesians Chapter 2 and it put a great smile on my face because I saw my past, present, and eternal life.

    Beloved, God has raised us up to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus!!!
    YES!!! That’s what the Word of God says. There are very few who actually believe this. And  know actually, we’ve elevated Jesus. We’ve exalted Him, and this is the way it should be!!! But, at the same time, we’ve unintentionally belittled what He did by not allowing Him to bring us along with Him.

    You see, that was God’s purpose at Calvary “to bring us along with Jesus.” To make us what He already was.

    You see Beloved, Jesus didn’t need exalting. He was exalted before He ever came to this earth. He was already one with the Father. He didn’t need to get authority over the devil. He’d never lost it!!!

    He put on a physical body so that He could come to earth as a man and gain authority over sin and illness, demons, distress, deficiency and all the other curses that came when the law of death moved into the earth, and He did just what He came to this earth to do. Yes!!! He succeeded!!! He mastered everything in the world of the “intellect”, everything in the physical world.

    But before He ascended, He said, “All authority is given unto Me both in heaven and in the earth.” Then He turned around and gave that authority to us by giving us His Name. “HALLELUJAH!!!”

    You and I are the reason Jesus came to earth and died and lived again. He didn’t do it for Himself. He did it so He could bring us together with Him. So, we could wear His Name and exert His authority on the earth. He did it so that we could stand before God and be everything to Him that Jesus is.

    Beloved, when you were born again, you were made the righteousness of God in Christ!!! So, this week as a born-again believer, let us all continue to accept the challenge to receive God’s message, to meditate on it and to act on it.

    Beloved it’s time to confirm your reservation around the throne.

    Praise the Lord Everyone!!! And it’s Friday!!! 😀 Here in Ohio we finally get a weekend to truly thaw out from our winter snow and cold weather.

    I just got off the phone with a client and we were talking about “inner peace”.   He along with so many believe that to gain inner peace we need a quiet physical dwelling place to incorporate inner harmony. But, acquiring a peaceful physical dwelling place isn’t always possible. With all the hustle and bustle in our society today, finding a quiet dwelling is almost impossible. So, entering inner peace must be developed.

    To establish the inner peace needed we must find a quiet spot in our mind and settle there. This takes lots of practice and focus. But once developed, you’ll find that inner state of complete quiet and internal clearness to the outer world around us. Beloved, true peace means that you can be in the core of hardship, around co-workers, distress, and external sounds, and still be calm in your heart (mind and emotions).

    This weekend, try to discover your inner peace from the inside. Once you discover it and start to develop your inner peace, you’ll find that true tranquility is just a thought away and always there when you need it.

    Beloved, modification is one of the most difficult things for people to face. But you know, if we want to move forward in life at times modification is unavoidable. In fact, Publilius Syrus said, it’s a bad plan that admits of no modification.

    One reason many people are against modification is because they get relaxed “content” with where they are in life. They get used to their friends, job or the place they live. And even if it’s not perfect, they accept it simply because it’s familiar.

    But, when we’re not willing to modify, we get stuck in life holding on to what God did in the past instead of growing and moving forward into what God wants to do in the future.

    Isaiah 43:19 (NLT) says: “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

    This weekend Beloved, I encourage you to be open to the new things God has in store for you. Always remember that just because God has blessed you where you are doesn’t mean you can just sit back and settle there. God wants to do something new in you and through you. He wants to see you produce and thrive. He wants you to succeed. So, get ready and keep your mind and emotions straight on Jesus. Accept being modified and see the blessing God has in store for you!!!

    Today’s Question:
    “Is being gay right or wrong?”

    Dear Bishop Houston my name is Centrella and I am a gay female. I have lived a covered homosexual lifestyle for 17 years, that was until 6 months ago when I was encouraged to come out and acknowledge that I am gay.

    I was always taught homosexuality was wrong but many of my friends who are gay are telling me different.

    Bishop Houston my question for you – is it Ok or wrong to be homosexual?

    Beloved, the individual who participates in homosexual behavior or who struggles with homosexual predispositions is no less loved by God or by CHOF Ministry than any other person. John 3:17 says, “God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” God isn’t condemning any individual or looking for reasons to reject you or anyone else.  In Matthew 22:37-40 and Mark 12:30-31 vividly tells us all God is looking for is for that person’s choice to love, serve and obey Him with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.

    We all know that God created mankind male and female. His normal order was that each had a distinctive desire for the opposite sex. Now, in Genesis 2:23-24, Hebrews 13:4, Ephesians 5:21-33 it shows us that a sexual union between a man and a woman within the margins of the God-ordained marriage relationship is right and holy by God’s morals.

    But, there are two sides to this coin. Contrariwise, in Genesis 19:1-7, Leviticus 18:22-23, 20:13, Romans 1:18-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and 1 Timothy 1:8-10 these scriptures teach us that when a man desires a sexual union with another man and a woman with another woman, this is an unnatural affection that goes against God’s natural order in creation.

    But let me tell you, there’s some good news!!! The good news is freedom from homosexuality, and every other manifestation of the fallen human nature, it has been paid for by the blood of Jesus!!!

    Romans 10:9-10 and 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us that the path to freedom for the homosexual is the same path of freedom that is offered to everyone on earth, which means you must accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and once you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior you’ll receive a brand-new nature on the inside. Hebrews 4:15-16 tells that once a person is born again he or she can freely receive God’s grace “supernatural empowerment” to overcome the sinful desires of the flesh and live in total victory.

    Beloved, we can’t biblically define homosexuality as right behavior, but we can define love, mercy and compassion as right responses to those involved.

    I’m sure there will be some people that might argue that true acceptance requires condoning the behavior. But to accept and to condone are two different things.
    2 Corinthians 5:19 tells us that God accepts everyone who will come to Him through Jesus while not condoning everything they do.

    So, from a Christian stand-point we must love the person that identifies themselves as a homosexual or gay but we as Christians cannot condone “overlook or excuse” the person’s homosexual tendencies and desires.

  • ‘God’s Healing”

    Happy Monday to Everyone. 😀

    When I first started in the ministry, I used to get upset over people I’d pray for who wouldn’t get well. One day while I was praying and seeking God He knew I was perplexed and He spoke to my spirit and said, “Healing always comes”.

    I remember I said, “What do You mean, Healing always comes? Not everyone gets healed.” And He answered, “I didn’t say they all received it. Then He spoke very sternly to me. “I DO MY PART!!! AND I SAID THEY WOULD RECOVER!!!

    Beloved let me tell you, those words hit me like a ton of bricks. He said they would recover. You and I know God never lies. So, if He said they would recover, then that means healing always comes.

    Beloved, it’s not God who’s holding back. It’s the receivers who aren’t receiving.

    Since then, I’ve never had any trouble praying for people and believing for them to be healed. Whether they walk away well or not, I just keep standing in faith for them. So today, I have faith that anyone that leaves my presence that’s still sick, if they line their faith up with God and me, I don’t care if it’s five years from now, they’ll be healed.

    Beloved, if you’ve laid hands on someone who didn’t receive their healing, don’t cut off the flow of God’s power by withdrawing your faith. Just stand fast. Keep believing that healing always comes and somewhere down the line that poor sick person may just decide to stand up and agree with you!!!

  • “How’s Your Friday”

    Good Friday Word for the weekend

    Praise the Lord and Happy “Good” Friday Everyone. 😀
     
    Back in 1995 there was a movie called “Friday”. I’m sure many of you have seen it. The movie is centered around Craig Jones (Ice Cube) who had a bad Friday. He got fired for stealing cardboard boxes, his rent was due, had a domineering girlfriend, Joi (Paula Jai Parker), who he really didn’t like and his best friend, Smokey (Chris Tucker), owes the local drug dealer some money and this is all before noon. And as the day went on, his day didn’t get any better as he encountered many things.
     
    His day didn’t get better until Friday night after he won a fight against the neighborhood bully.
     
    Beloved, this morning I want to ask you three questions. My first question is: on this day over 2,000 years ago as Jesus hung on the cross, do you think any of the people that was present call that day a “good” day? The high priest Caiaphas and the Pharisees has just got rid of a popular, powerful important preacher.
     
    But, they had no idea about the true value or worth of the man they just crucified. Pontius Pilate, was an uncompromising Roman governor, and he unenthusiastically allowed Jesus to be crucified to pacify the mob and their leaders demanding Jesus’ life. Beloved, Pilate turned Jesus over to the execution squad, who looked at it as just another death sentence to be carried out along with two others that day. That was until the centurion realized they’d killed the Son of God!!!
     
    My second question is: do you think the disciples call it a “good” day? Well if any of the disciples did call it “good,” it was only after encountering the risen Christ.
     
    And my third question is: do you think Jesus would have called that Friday “good”? You see, the scene at Gethsemane the night before was agonizing!!! Jesus begged His Father to spare Him from His awful mission.
     
    But, perhaps later, when He returned to heaven to be with God, he finally said, “Yes, Father, that was a good day.”
     
    Beloved, the term “Good Friday” first occurred in the fourth century. Some think it was originally called “God’s Friday.” But today, we can call it “good” if we appreciate the fact that Jesus’ trial, punishment, and death brought our salvation. These truths are seen through the spiritual spectacles of faith. So, in that sense it truly is “Good Friday”!!!
     
    But like Craig, many of us have started out some Fridays that were not good.
    But by the end of the weekend, we realize Friday turned out to be not so bad after all.
     
    Beloved, our resurrected Savior’s Friday started out bad but turned out Good. John 19:30 says: Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
