THE WATER IS STILL THERE

“And Isaac dug again the wells of water that they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, which the Philistines had stopped after the death of Abraham. And he gave them the names that his father had given them.”

Beloved, the Philistines stopped the wells—but they couldn’t stop the water.

They covered the evidence of Abraham’s labor with dirt, debris, and deliberate obstruction. Yet beneath everything placed upon those wells, the water remained. What God had provided wasn’t destroyed; access to it had simply been buried.

🔥 That’s where many people are standing today.

We keep asking God for something new while neglecting what He has already deposited. We abandon old prayers, forgotten revelations, unfinished assignments, neglected gifts, and lessons purchased through suffering. Then we call ourselves empty because we have lost sight of the well.

Isaac didn’t mistake recovery for regression. He understood that returning to an old well didn’t mean he was moving backward. It meant he possessed enough discernment to recognize that the water was still valuable.

📚C H O F Ministry’s Hebrew Insight

The Hebrew word for well is בְּאֵר — be’er: a well, reservoir, or underground source of water.

A be’er holds what cannot always be seen from the surface. Dirt may conceal it, opposition may obstruct it, and time may cause people to forget it—but the source remains beneath the ground.

Some things in your life don’t require replacement. They require excavation.

🛑 Stop discarding what merely needs rediscovery.

That sermon may need a present-day voice.
That vision may need modern technology.
That testimony may need a new audience.
That old revelation may be carrying water for a generation that has never tasted it.

You are not called to worship the past. You’re called to recover what God placed there, remove what obstructed its flow, and carry its living truth forward.

The well has not failed.

The water is still there. Dig again.

🙏🏿 Let Us Go Into The Throne Room Of Grace And Mercy.

Father, give us the discernment to recognize the wells You have already placed within our lives. Show us where disappointment, neglect, fear, and distraction have buried access to what You provided. Give us courage to dig again, wisdom to preserve the revelation, and creativity to carry its living water to another generation. In Jesus’ name we pray…
let Heaven bear witness.™🕊️ May the God who preserved the water beneath the obstruction strengthen your hands to dig, renew your vision to recognize what remains, and use your recovered well to refresh generations yet to come.
