Praise the Lord Beloved. 😀 Happy Tuesday to you.
Beloved, this morning I, want you to look closely at this morning’s verse where it says: “the Lord hardened their hearts.” Now, there may be some of you that may be asking: “Bishop Houston does God harden the hearts of people so that they sin?” And there maybe some of you asking: “Bishop Houston, why did God harden their hearts?” If you’re asking either one of these questions, they’re both great questions and I’m Glad You Asked. 😀
Let’s look at verse 19. It says, “Not a town made peace with the Israelites except the Hivites.” Beloved, this means God was hoping they would change and make peace with Israel, but they didn’t. Now, the word, “hardened” means “to strengthen.” God didn’t cause them to sin – they already sinned and chose to keep on sinning, so God strengthened their stand, not imposing on them to do what God wanted until they fell into God’s judgment.
This is a story that actually outlines to us that God won’t interfere with our free will if we select to sin. He wants us to choose freely to abandon sin and come to Him and make peace with Him.
Beloved, don’t you think it’s time to decide to make peace with God and ask for forgiveness? I have no doubt and you shouldn’t have a doubt that “He will” forgive you and cleanse you. Amen? Aaamen. 😀
Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE – I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Have a blessed Tuesday. 😀
