“You’ve Already Been Seated!!!”

CHOF Ministry’s Verse for Today

Ephesians 2:6-7 (NLT)

(6) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

You know Beloved, for most of my young life and actually before studying the Words of God, I was told the reason God saved us was so that when we got to heaven, we could spend the rest of eternity loving Him and worshiping Him. But, you know, that’s just not true.

Now, it sounded realistic, but in actuality, it’s just something somebody made up. Beloved, God isn’t egotistical. In fact, He’s just the opposite. He’s all-inclusive God. He’s an all-inclusive lover. He doesn’t do anything just, so He can get something in return.

There may be someone reading this blog asking: “Bishop Houston, why then did He save us?” If you are asking this question – I’m glad you asked!!! Because you have asked a great question.

Beloved, the Word of God tells us He did it so that in the ages to come, He could show us how great and magnificent His grace is. Now, just think about that!!! God is going to spend eternity showing us how great and magnificent His grace is to you and to me. That’s why He sent Jesus into the world. He loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son. God gave Jesus so that He wouldn’t be His only son. He sent Jesus, so He could have more sons/daughters to love and give to—and He plans to spend forever doing just that.

Beloved, as a believer, you have the most magnificent future ahead of you that anyone could ever ask. But don’t wait until you get to glory to enjoy it. You can start right now.

That’s because you’ve already been seated!!!
