You know Beloved, every now and then we can focus too much on our sinfulness and immorality.
Every now and then we get trapped in a state of remorse, and we go into a state of hopelessness over our past sins.
Or, every now and then we start worrying about our current weakness, and we beat ourselves up over it.
Beloved, if you’re there, “it’s ok”, acknowledge it, confess it and repent of those things!!! Beloved, don’t stay there, don’t live in the past, and don’t dwell on them. No matter what you’ve done, no matter what labels you have, stop staring at those things, they no longer define you if you believe!!!
Beloved, Jesus defines you now, so focus on Him. Not yourself, not your sins, not the past. And those present weaknesses you face? He’s making you more like Himself daily, by the power of His Spirit. So, look to His strength, not your weakness.
It’s ok to focus on the good things in life, and there’s none better to focus on than the Lord.
