“Worthless Unfulfilled Promises”
Beloved, one of the things that really irritate me is worthless unfulfilled promises. Many times, in life we get caught up in our fast-paced daily lives that we occasionally don’t recognize the promises we make to other people. Here are some classics: *if you need anything let me know, *I’ll call you, or *you’ll get the next open position. We need to be careful when making idle promises. In other words, presenting hope that’s not worth the words coming out our mouth, unkept possibilities that only frustrate the hopeful. Many people are defenseless to these promises.Children look up to adults and we teach them to listen to their parents, teachers, etc., so when we break a promise to a child it’s hard for them to understand. If we aren’t careful our words become worthless. The same goes for our elderly. Many of them are alone or lonely, they depend on others a lot, and when someone makes a promise of running an errand or a much-promised visit that never materializes, then depression can easily set in. The same goes for an employee who is depending on the increase. The employee does all they’ve been asked, and the supervisor promises the employee a raise or an elevated position that never materializes. We need to be more reliable and mindful of what we’re saying. The Bible is full of God’s promises that we can depend on. They’re rooted in His unchanging character and love for us. We should be Christlike and become more aware of worthless unfulfilled promises that could hurt or disturb others that depend on us.Beloved, the last time I checked we serve an on-time God and His Word has never failed us. 😀Let Us Pray:Dear Heavenly Father, this morning I ask that You help us to be more aware of the promises we make to You and others. Help us to deliver on them just like Your promises in the Bible that never fail us.In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE – I LOVE YOU ALL!!!Have a brilliant Monday and a boundless joyful week. 😀 -
“It’s OK to Be Different”

Praise the Lord!!! 😀 Happy Tuesday.Beloved, when you fully develop into a devoted believer in the Christian faith, your life, and lifestyle changes. Everything about you unchecked the boxes you’ve checked while living by the standards of your previous regime. You see, when we follow God’s guidelines, it means we do things differently from others. It means, instead of being offended, and insulted, (disrespected) we indicate love. Instead of insisting on our way, we help others. It means, instead of trying to be right all the time, we build, elevate and rejuvenate others. This isn’t the way most people in the world act but that’s OK because we’re called to be different. We’re called to increase, advance, elevate and develop differently than the values of the world. We’re called to be the illustrations of God’s grace, mercy, and forgiveness. It may not make sense, it may seem unfair and it may perplex some, but that’s OK too. 😀 God will endorse and sponsor your new level of blessing and victory when you “commit yourself fully” to Him. Amen? Aaamen. 😀Let Us Pray:Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for reconditioning my mind and changing me into Your image. I recognize that I’m not like the world, I’m set apart for You. Help me to love like You and be a light everywhere I go. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE – I LOVE YOU ALL!!!Have a very blessed Tuesday. 😀 -
“We Are Responsible”

Praise the Lord Believers in the Christian faith. When the priest Ezra heard how the rest of God’s people had broken God’s law by marrying the women of the land, he tore his robes and cried like a newborn baby and fasted. The people followed his lead and felt guilty about their sin. It was the people who encouraged him to tell them what to do to set things right with God. Ezra replied with the verses on this morning’s picture marquee – “…make confession to the Lord God of your fathers and do His will. Separate yourselves from the peoples of the land and from [your] foreign wives.”
Beloved, there are many of us who don’t live in Israel and never prohibited to marry a certain group of people, but the principle remains the same. That’s why the Apostle Paul told us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. That could apply to marriage or business. You see, when we recognize we’re with people of evil practices, we shouldn’t commit ourselves to any type of cohesive endeavor with them. How Can Two Walk Together Except They Be Agreed?
Now there’s also a deeper principle. WHAT FELLOWSHIP DOES LIGHT HAVE WITH DARKNESS? If we’re walking in the light, we’ll be disgusted (nauseated) by the sin and have a desire to show them the way to be freed from its bondage. There are some Christians that will play on the edge of the cliff of sin because the allurement is attractive to them. In other words, THEY THINK IT’S A GAME!!! They’ll create a line where there’s a danger of being caught by sin then try to stay far enough behind the line without being caught.” Beloved, let me ask you this question: Would you walk along the very edge of a cliff? It’s that simple. In this final chapter of Ezra, the men sent their foreign wives and children away. Now, that seems very harsh of God, but the situation existed because of disobedience to God. It was the only thing to do. Not dealing with the issue had caused the downfall of Israel in the past. Beloved, it’s imperative that we cut off from our lives the thing that’s enticing us to sin and send it away from our lives if we’re going to go on with God.CHOF Ministry’s Mid-Week Prayer:Dear Heavenly Father, this morning I confess my sins to You, the ones I am aware of, the ones that I’ve not asked you for forgiveness, and the ones of my past. As I continue to do what you ask and instruct me to do, I will continue to strive all day every day to separate myself from the sins that attempt to separate me from Your blessings. In Jesus’ Name, I Pray Amen Aaamen.Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE. I LOVE YOU ALL!!! “Stocking Up on the Correct Treasures”

Praise the Lord Believers in the Christian faith.
Happy Monday to each of you. 😀Beloved, there are two kinds of treasures. The treasures that are of this earth and the treasures that are of heaven. The treasures that are of this earth are provisional while the treasures that are of heaven are perpetual. Stockpiling treasure is an effort at building up affluence or protection. You store treasures for impending essentials or consumption. But Jesus firmly recommends us not to stockpile earthly treasures. They don’t assure us of future security because they can be stolen and destroyed. So, Jesus urges the people to stockpile treasures in heaven because nothing can take or destroy them. The human eye can’t see these treasures, so they’re guaranteed to last for all eternity. One of our treasures is our relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself promised that no one can take us out of his Father’s hand (*1). What we’ve learned from the Bible are also heavenly treasures that no one can take from us. Aside from being perpetual, these treasures are freely given to us. But, on the other hand, you do have to work hard and pay close attention to get these earthly treasures.Beloved, now is the time to start paying close attention to choose the right treasures to stock up. Amen? 😀 Aaamen.😀Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a Vibrant Monday. -
“Be Watchful for The Essentials of Others”

Praise the Lord Beloved – Happy Friday!!! 😀You know Beloved, self-centered (egotistical) spirits and pride (snobbishness) can lead to indifference and competitions (fights). That’s why the Apostle Paul cautioned and encouraged the Philippians to put the welfare of others above theirs and be self-effacing. You see, self-centered motivations like the desires for money, celebrity status “reputation”, and power “control” can destroy the bond of men and women, brothers and sisters, family, co-workers, and church members. It can lead to detachments, arguments, disagreements and other things which are not fruitful. Every person has their own distinct needs that have to be fulfilled. Some people need to be loved, some people need to be accepted, some people need to be cared, for and some people need to be appreciated. We all have these kinds of needs, but the key to this isn’t to spend our lives trying to selfishly or greedily get them met. Spend your life being considerate when it comes satisfying other people’s needs “according to God’s will” in giving.
Believe me God will bless you.Beloved, as you go into this weekend remember your church, relationships, and families may not be perfect, but when you get a chance sit back and think about how nice it would be if everyone tried to receive, appreciate, care and love others. 😀
Let US Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive me for being selfish – narcissistic, in looking for what brings me contentment rather than thinking about how I can serve others more. Help me to see the essentials of others and inspire me to take action and be a blessing to them But also give me a vision and knowledge to see and comprehend those that are deceitful that try to play games for their personal gain.In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen and Aaamen..

“Heckled Instead of Welcomed”
Praise the Lord Beloved!!! Happy Tuesday. 😀Beloved, after God has helped you turn your life around, how many of you have been discredited (humiliated) or not welcomed (not received) especially by your family members or hometown – the place you grew up. “I HAVE” – and to this day it’s still occurring. Well if you have, you’re in great company because it was no different for Jesus either. Jesus returned to Nazareth after preaching and performing miracles in neighboring towns. Nazareth was His hometown and people in the synagogue were surprised and stunned at His teaching. But instead of extending a warm welcome or receiving His message, they started discrediting (doubting) Jesus (*1).Beloved, of all places Nazareth should have been one of the closest and dearest places to Jesus’ human heart, because this is where he grew up, where his family’s home was. It’s not written how many people needed healing, but Jesus “intentionally” withheld and reduced the “deeds of power” during His stay there because of their unbelief. Today, it’s not unusual to encounter cynics (hecklers), pessimists, or critics who plant seeds of doubt everywhere they go. So, stay on guard because if you haven’t yet, someday you may meet people who are knowledgeable about the Word just like the people in the synagogue but will discredit you as they did Jesus, His power, His death, and resurrection. Pray for God to strengthen your faith and remember that it puts us at a great disadvantage not to believe and trust in the Lord. Amen? – Aaamen. 😀CHOF and the Bishop, W. F. Houston, Jr. Ministry is here to help you develop and deepen your relationship with God and learn how to live a victorious Christian life. I hope my daily observances will bring reassurance, spiritual stimulation, harmony, and intestinal fortitude that will assist you as you grow in your walk with Christ.Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MAY BE TOO LATE.I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a blessed Tuesday. 😀Bishop, W. F. “Becoming The Valiant Christian”

Praise the Lord Beloved. It’s Friday!!! Let us rejoice and thank God for allowing us this opportunity to open up another morning. You know Beloved, there are few things today that are as valuable as prudently selected words. Today we live in an environment where detractors and challengers are looking for reasons or justifications to be offended or upset. Today intrepid dialogue and pure, strong, and vibrant language has progressively evaporated. But you know, this is nothing new to God’s people. God’s people aren’t protected from the trend of enforced interchange insolence. Many of us have felt the familiar pain of the injections from societal pressure that keeps us silent when we ought speak up, or round off our sharp edges of truth that cuts to the quick. There are many of you craving to be courageous, pure, strong, and vibrant communicators of God’s Word, that have been virtually shut down often causing you to fall short.Beloved, many of you (like myself) have been called to preach a gospel the world wants nothing to do with. We’ve been designated to be messengers of a message the world rejects and hates. At one time in my life I was constantly shut down, put down and repeatedly injected by enforced interchanged insolence. I prayed constantly asking God to help me cultivate the courage I needed to faithfully proclaim the truth and to fortify me against the societal, assembly – cliques and pressures that desires to keep me voiceless.Beloved, as Christians we can’t be afraid of offending the world with the truth. “BUT”, don’t mistake that as an open door for disagreements or cavalier incivility. It’s not the work of the gospel if you’re looking to pick a fight. Instead, like John said, we need to cultivate a high view of Scripture, and take our boldness from our conviction that God’s truth alone can rescue sinners and save souls.Beloved, this weekend, have confidence in the Word of God it’s the key to becoming the valiant Christian God desires us to be.Have an up-lifting Friday and a wonderful weekend. -
“Refining the Fruit of Virtue and Moral”

Beloved, illustrating spiritual fruit is the exam above all the spiritual examinations given to a true believer. After facing serious or dangerous situations, I’ve often heard people say, “I saw my entire life flash before my eyes.” Well, that’s the picture we get in our Sunday morning Bible Verse Philippians 1:11.
Beloved, “the fruit of righteousness” refers to what’s formed in you as you activate love, pursue brilliance or quality, and sustain your integrity. It embraces every attitude and achievement consistent with God’s standard of what’s right.
The words “Having been filled” speaks of something that occurred in the past with ongoing results. You see, at your salvation the seeds of virtue and moral were imbedded within you. They bear righteous fruit throughout your lifetime. On the day of Christ, it’s those fruits that will confirm your salvation.
Fruitful productivity has always been the exam above all the spiritual examinations of true salvation. Jesus said in John 8:31: “If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine”. In John 8:31 when John the Baptist admonished his followers to “bring forth fruits in keeping with repentance”, he was speaking of good deeds in verses 10-14. In Eph. 2:10, Paul said we’re God’s workmanship, “created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them”,, John said in 1 John 2:6 (cf) that all who profess Christ should live as He lived.
And one more thing I must add, bearing spiritual fruit isn’t something you can accomplish on your own. It “comes through Jesus Christ” – Phil. 1:11. In John 15:4-5 Jesus Himself said, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing”.
Beloved, you were redeemed to glorify God through virtue and moral conduct. So, as you present yourself throughout this Sunday make virtue and moral conduct your priority. Amen? – Aaamen. 😀
Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them – BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! – Have a blessed Sunday Everyone. 😀

“A Loyal Friend That’s Always There”

Praise the Lord Beloved. Happy Thursday. 😀You know, I’ve been thinking a lot about this verse lately. There have been times in my life when I cannot complete my goals no matter how hard I try. Very often, all I need is a little bit of help, some intelligent advice, a loyal friendly word or a favor. People need loyal friends. Like that man from the Bible. He needed someone to help him get into the pool, he couldn’t do it alone, and he didn’t have anyone. Blessed is the one that has loyal human friends who are always there to help, but most of the time I’m on my own. The good thing is that there’s one special loyal friend that will never fail us, our Lord Jesus Christ. He’ll always be there to give us a helping hand. He’s the one that will, “put us into our pool.” Sometimes He does it through others, sometimes through little miracles, and we can always be confident He’ll loyally be there.Amen-AAAmen. 😀“Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will past through and blow out our earth lights. So today, reach out and let those you love know that you love them.BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE, TOO LATE.”I LOVE YOU ALL!!!Have a blessed Thursday Everyone. 😀 -
“Prayer Has Power”

Praise the Lord Everyone!!! 😀 Happy Friday to each of you.Several months ago, I was extremely concerned about the welfare of someone close to me. But, one day during that time while reading and meditating on the words of God, I found encouragement in part of the Old Testament story of Samuel, who was a wise Israelite leader. As I read how Samuel interceded for God’s people as they faced trouble, I found my resolution was strengthened through prayer for my loved one.
In 1 Samuel 4 The Israelites faced the threat of the Philistines, who had previously defeated them when God’s people didn’t trust in Him. In 1 Samuel 7:8 after repenting of their sins, they heard that the Philistines were about to attack. But this time, they asked Samuel to continue praying for them.
In verse 10 you’ll find the Lord answered them clearly by throwing their enemy into confusion. Though the Philistines may have been larger than the Israelites, the Lord was the strongest of them all.
Beloved, when we ache over the challenges facing those we love, and fear the situation won’t change, we may be tempted to believe that the Lord won’t act. But we should never underestimate prayer power. Our loving God hears our prayer petitions.
Beloved, this weekend if you find yourself in a situation where you don’t know how God will move in response to your petition(s), just remember as our Heavenly Father He wants us to embrace His love and “trust” in His faithfulness.Have a blessed weekend Everyone!!! 😀
