  • “Unconditional Love, Compassion and Redirection”

    9 24 2019 John 8 10 11.png
Praise the Lord!!! Happy Tuesday Everyone. 😀

Beloved, some Christians feel vindicated when they condemn others for their behavior based on how long they’ve been saved or how “good” they’ve been. If Jesus, who’s our example, and the “ONLY” perfect person “NEVER” condemn others, what makes some of us think we can condemn others?

You see, condemnation is an act that leaves a person sensitive, perplexed, embarrassed, feeling guilty or humiliated. Jesus had a justifiable reason to condemn this woman caught in adultery. Instead of condemning her, He demonstrated grace (unconditional love) and mercy (compassion – kindness) towards her. At the same time, He didn’t excuse her sin, but what He did do was redirected her by saying “sin no more.”

Mixing grace (unconditional love), mercy (compassion – kindness), and redirection lovingly adjust unrighteous behavior. These are the essential tools a person needs when they know they’ve done wrong.

Beloved, the next time someone has missed the mark, don’t condemn them. Show grace (unconditional love), mercy (compassion – kindness), and redirection towards them. Amen? Aaamen. 😀

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Unconditional Love, Compassion and Redirection. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE – I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

    Have an enjoyable Tuesday. 😀

  • “The Most Incredible Gift”

    9 22 2019 week 2 Bishop Houston's Sunday Morning Church Post ist COR 1 1 through 9
“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound -That saved a wretch like me. – I once was lost, but now am found – Was blind, but now I see.”

For over 200 years “Amazing Grace” is perhaps the greatest adored spiritual hymn ever written and sung. It unfolds deep religious-philosophical jubilation. It’s estimated to be performed over 10 million times every year and has been on over 11,000 albums. The words of this celebrated song were created by John Newton. In the mid-1700s, Newton worked on a slave vessel and was labeled as the most disrespectful man the captain had ever met. During a storm, Newton directed his sailors to tie themselves to the ship to evade being washed overboard. He then pleaded to God for mercy. It’s written that God found him in his despicable mentality and redeemed him and it was that experience Newton recognized the gift of God’s grace.

Beloved, grace is the unmerited favor of God. Romans 3:24 reminds us that we were once condemned because of our sin, but we’re now saved by God’s grace. We haven’t done anything special to merit this act of mercy from God. We can’t do enough in our power, in any way to prove ourselves good. There’s no way we can lift one finger to save ourselves. It’s God’s grace that provides a path. In our text this morning, Paul thanks God for the grace that saved the church in Corinth and brought them together as the body of Christ.

We’re multiparty recipients of this grace, united by this act of divine mercy, it’s a gift we all share. And this grace produces results. In Verse 5 Paul says by grace, we’re improved in every way, including our speech and the way we think. Grace produces many changes in our lives that are visible to others. It’s grace that’ll see us home!!! Verse 8 says, “He will also keep you firm to the end so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ”.

Beloved, not one of us could appear faultless before God without this amazing gift of grace!!!

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, this morning we thank You for Your Amazing Gift of Grace. If it was not for Your Amazing unconditional love this unmerited undeserved favor could not be applied to our life. “Amazing grace, how sweet the sound -That saved a wretch like me. – I once was lost, but now am found – Was blind, but now I see.” In Jesus’ Name, I Pray, Amen and Aaamen. 😀

  • “To Know Him Is to Love Him”

Bishop Houston's Full Purple Shirt To Know Him Is to Love Him
Beloved, do you think God loves you? You know as a Christian, you can mentally understand God’s love for you without actually sensing it. In fact, the opposite can be true as well – you may say you love God, but in actuality in the back of your mind your feelings for Him are partial.

There are an assortment of motives or explanations that a Christian might not feel love from God or affection for Him, some of which stem from an experience during childhood. Maybe love was missing in the home, or maybe it just wasn’t articulated verbally or established in practical ways. A person’s disposition could also be part of the equation – some people are naturally easier to talk to while others are more reserved in their reactions or interactions.

Even though the inconsistency between knowledge and experience can be difficult, there’s hope. Sitting back and thinking on all the ways God has established His love for you, and asking Him to help you see it, will give you the opportunity to start the movement of truth from your head to your heart. You must remember that love is God’s very nature (*1), it’s not something you train or condition yourself to perform. If you’ve been adopted into His family through faith in His Son, God has chosen to profligate kindness on you in Christ. Trusting and accepting that you’re loved by God will in turn affect your emotional state for Him.

Beloved, obligate yourself to knowing Him more intimately and truthfully through His Word, and your love for Him will begin to grow. As you spend time with Him in Scripture and prayer, you’ll discover that the saying “to know Him is to love Him” is unquestionably true of God.

    Sunday’s Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, we truly want to apply all of our desire and love for You. Help us to see and understand the thing that are missing so that we may correct them. We want to know You and love You without any doubt – regardless of the storms we may encounter.
In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen and Aaamen. 😀

  • “Love Your Neighbor”

    Prayer and Bible verse Wednesday 7 17 2019 Phil 1 3
Shalom Aleichem Believers in the Christian faith.

You know life can be very harsh and biased. To be a blessing to someone can be problematic or involve us going out of our way to help. When I was working for a shipyard, a senior welder advised me that “life’s more laid-back when we just say no.” This is true. Saying no to others saves a lot of time and energy because every analysis just comes to a rapid end. In my life, I’ve never seen someone so quick to make excuses instead of finding ways to be helping others as he did. This reminded me of the expression about, “getting a dose of your own medicine.”

One time I witnessed the same coworker being denied a favor by everyone. His request was simple: change days because of an imperative appointment. I couldn’t help him either because we worked in two different fields. It was tough to watch and a harsh lesson for him to learn.

Beloved, Jesus commanded us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves and the parable of the Good Samaritan is the perfect example. (*1.)

Beloved, EVERYONE IS A NEIGHBOR. 😀
Are you willing and ready to love everyone?
    Shalom

  • “God Loves You on The Inside”

    Bishop Houston's Weekend Words Luke 18 14
    Praise the Lord Beloved!!!

It’s a joy to be counted among the ones who live.
Beloved, do you belong to a church or ministry that focuses on how a person dresses. I’m speaking of the spiritual edifices where high class fashion is God first. If you’re not wearing the top of the line suits, dresses or hats you’re frowned at or looked down on. Beloved, God looks in the heart of man and not at their external appearance and achievements in life. This morning’s scripture is a great parable. Jesus Christ linked the tax collector and the Pharisee together. The tax collectors are publicly known as a sinner for their dishonesty in collecting taxes. They’re called thieves because they steal money from people. The Pharisees on the other hand, are publicly known as holy, righteous and law-abiding people. They openly display their religious acts such as prayer, fasting, and charity. Many people who looked up to them were impressed by their activities, but God wasn’t. When Christ came, He exposed their private sins, their pride, and self-righteousness. In this morning’s parable, the Pharisee began to “brag” about his righteous acts while the tax collector humbly admitted his wrongdoing and asked for God’s mercy. God honored the prayer of the tax collector, but he hated the self-aggrandizement of the Pharisee.
Beloved, you don’t have to wear the top of the line attire or achieve the highest honors to be acknowledge by God or any authentic spiritual Bible based edifice. If you’re required to, then it’s time to find an authentic Bible based spiritual edifice.
As we go into this weekend let us all remember that no matter who we are or what we do, or what we wear, God’s willing to accept us if we humble ourselves and submit to His mercy. Amen – Aaamen. 😀
    Let us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us a recap about shady selfish pride that doesn’t give You pleasure or glory. Help us to stop looking at our spiritual achievements and start focusing on Your great love, mercy, and grace.
In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen and Aaamen.
Have an Awesome Friday and a Great Weekend.
  • “Astute Friends”

    Monday 6 24 2019 Let Us Pray 13 20 Proverbs

Good Morning Beloved, Happy Monday!!! 😀
When I was younger, my momma warned me about selecting my friends wisely. But being young and naive, all I could think about was having fun ‘kicking it”. It took me many years to understand that she wanted me to avoid deceitful and malicious company. I thought it was just another pointless apprehension on her part, but her advice proved to be very significant. That’s because our peers have an unswerving influential effect (power) on us. This morning’s bible verse sounds practical but it’s intensely true. You see, to be astute is to walk with the astute. Though being with them doesn’t mean that their insight, understanding, and knowledge will rub off on us automatically, but at least we give ourselves a chance and a glimpse on how to live prudently. It also keeps us from damage control and out of destruction’s way as the friend of the fools is the straight road to ruin.
Beloved, trying to save a person who doesn’t want to be saved in the first place is actually a problem and very difficult. Extended interaction with deceitful, malicious and unethical company will eventually corrupt. We need to remember and accept that only God can really change a person’s heart and ways.
Beloved, from time to time, it’s mentally, spiritually and monetarily, healthier to avoid than to engage.
    Amen? – Aaamen.
Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them,
BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.
Our ministry continues to grow. God has truly been good to us!!! We thank each and every one of you for helping to make this possible. And be sure to like, share, or forward this on to a friend so we can “Together” continue to spread God’s word.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a blessed Monday Everyone. 😀
  • “Another Opportunity”

    Tuesday 6 18 2019 Let Us Pray Jonah 3 1
Good Morning Beloved!!! 😀 Happy Tuesday to you all.

Beloved, what would be your reply if you didn’t like the Lord’s directives for you? Would you challenge Him? Would you disobey Him? Would you rebel? 😀

Well Jonah, who was a prophet disobeyed God’s command. He was to preach at Nineveh, but instead in John chapter 1 you’ll find, he tried to abscond from God’s presence!!! After spending three days and nights in the belly of an enormous fish, God spoke to him again and God’s message didn’t change from the first time He commanded him. Finally, Jonah conformed and observed a whole city repent!!!

Beloved, when the opportunity to obtain a word from the Lord comes to you, don’t disregard it if you don’t like what it requires you to do. Also, “PLEASE” don’t run away like Jonah did. NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE can hide from God, there’s no place where He’s not present. Never test His patience but reverence Him. Proverb 9:10 (AMP) tells us: “The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of wisdom [its starting point and its essence],…” Know that God is unchanging, but we can change our response and attitude to His calling. Sincerely pray for the capability to see things from His majestic point of view and finally, ask for wisdom to understand and obey His Will. Amen? 😀 Aaamen.

  • “Remembering the Sabbath”

    Wednesday 6 12 2019 Let Us Pray Exodus 31 13
Praise the Lord Beloved. Happy Wednesday. 😀 I hope your day has started off with a smile. 😀

You know the Israelites had weekly Sabbaths (a day of rest), but they also had new moon Sabbaths and other distinct Sabbath days related to their feasts. On those days, there were limitations as to how much they could do and how far they could go. All these were designed to have them take time to reflect on the God they served. They were to be still for a day to focus upon God. Beloved, this morning’s verse teaches that the reason for the Sabbath was to know who the LORD is and that He’s the One who makes us holy. It seems that they missed the whole point of the exercise and concentrated on the rules surrounding the Sabbath instead of the purpose. They thought that keeping the rules made them holy, when it’s clearly the LORD that makes them holy.

Beloved, they had the illustration of Abraham who was acknowledged right with God by simply believing in God before he had done anything the Lord asked. They also had the illustration of the man recording this passage, “Moses”. He was a murderer and failed miserably when he tried to do it his own way. But when we know we can’t do it ourselves, that holiness is inaccessible by our efforts, we finally look to the LORD who makes us holy. Even though, at that time, they didn’t understand how, they simply needed to believe He would. Beloved, it’s the trust placed in God, not a comprehensive understanding of the method that makes men right with God, back then and now.
Beloved it’s God who makes us holy. His work will transform our lives when our trust is placed in Him.
    Amen? – Aaamen.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.

Beloved, I thank you for being such an inspiration to us. 😀
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! And have a blessed Wednesday Everyone. 😀

  • “Pure/Sure Love”

Tuesday 6 11 2019 Let Us Pray John 3 16Praise the Lord Beloved. Forgive me for the late post.Stayed up and watched the Raptors vs. Warriors basketball game last night. I hope your day has started off awesome. 😀

You know a couple of my desires in life was to find a mate and a networking family that loved me just as much as I loved them, and to have a pure/sure “Unadulterated Unquestionable” love, one without hidden agendas and/or worldly material characteristics. I thank God for my beautiful spirited wife (Donece – “Niecy”) and those of you who have solidified your unconditional interactions with me and CHOF Ministry.

Beloved, to know that you’re loved affects much in your heart and your mind which affects your emotions. A huge factor that impacts the attitude of the child is the feeling that their parents love them. The love of God is unlimited, and it exceeds all our immoralities. His love is higher than anything in this world, and that kind of love is freely given to us. That’s why God can save us from all our sins. 😀 His love is greater than all our sins.

Therefore, we who have experienced this kind of love should reproduce it towards those around us. We can share God’s great love with others in many ways. But first, we have to realize and recognize that God loves us so, so, so much. At times we don’t realize that’s why many people are still in an unhappy place or situation, disheartened and disconnected, hostile and unreceptive, and in pain – hurt. But when we come to understand that God loves all of us so, so, so much, it’ll bring us pure/sure joy and hope, and it’ll change our attitude towards many things in life. Amen?

Beloved, I thank you for being such an inspiration to us. 😀
I LOVE YOU ALL and have a blessed Tuesday Everyone.

  • “Hurt and Angry?”

Wednesday June 52019 Let Us Pray Psalm 22 1 3.png
Praise the Lord Beloved. Let us all say, “Thank You Lord for another Wednesday to be in Your presence”.

You know Beloved, many of us have cried out to God and felt like He wasn’t listening, or He doesn’t care. Many of us have gotten angry at God. And I’ll be the first to say those are scary thoughts. Beloved God created everything. He sent Mount Everest protruding up from the Earth and ransacked channels in the depths of the Pacific. He made the billions of stars, and that gives us just a miniscule picture of His marvelous glory. Yet we dare to be mad at Him? It’s crazy that many of us at some time or another in our life have felt upset towards God. In our verse, this morning Jesus will reference from the Cross one of many cries by David. He was a man after God’s own heart, yet he makes a habit throughout the Psalms of asking God where He is. I believe this is God’s way of telling us that these feeling are only human.

Beloved, we may get angry, but we need to remember He’s still God. We must always be respectful and must never sin in our anger. That’s what David does here at the end, he still glorifies God.

Beloved, put off your anger and remember the God who created the Heavens and the Earth is the same God who loves you and wants the best for you. Amen? Aaamen. 😀

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them – BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a blessed Wednesday Everyone. 😀
