  • “The Antidote to Envy – A Heart Full of Gratitude”

    C H O F Ministry’s Unified Manna
“Faith: More Than Belief, a Lens to Reimagine”

Good morning! 🌅 Let’s embark on today’s journey with an open heart and an eager spirit.

Scriptural Insight – Proverbs 14:30 (CSB)
“A tranquil heart is life to the body, but envy is rottenness to the bones.”

    C H O F Ministry’s Synopsis:
This scripture vividly illustrates the destructive nature of envy. Just as a peaceful heart can rejuvenate and give life, envy, on the other hand, can corrode our inner peace and physical well-being.

    🗣️Bishop Houston’s Contemplation:
Today, let’s ponder on the destructive power of envy and the beauty of embracing our unique paths. In a world inundated with social media highlights and success stories, it’s almost instinctive to fall into the comparison trap, measuring our progress against others. However, this only breeds discontentment and a sense of inadequacy. 🌱

The wisdom from Proverbs 14:30 invites us to seek tranquility in our hearts, serving as a reminder that the only true competition we have is with ourselves. Cultivating gratitude for our journey, regardless of how it compares to others, nurtures our spirit and bolsters our health. 🌺

When faced with the challenge of others’ negativity or attempts to undermine our achievements, let’s respond with grace and a steadfast commitment to our integrity. Recognizing that such behaviors stem from their insecurities allows us to extend empathy rather than hostility.

Embracing our individuality and supporting each other’s growth fosters a community where everyone can flourish. Beloved, let’s make a conscious effort to replace envy with appreciation, celebrating our accomplishments and the unique contributions of those around us. Together, we can illuminate the world with our collective light. ✨💖

“Let Us Go into The Throne Room of Grace and Mercy:”

🙏🏽 Lord, we thank You for the bountiful blessings You have bestowed upon us. Grant us the wisdom to recognize the destructive force of envy and the strength to replace it with a heart full of gratitude. Help us to appreciate our journey, celebrate the success of others, and contribute positively to the world. May our lights shine brightly, reflecting Your love and grace. To God Be the Glory. 🙏🏽

    Have a Blessed Wednesday Everyone. 🕊️ 💙😊

God wnts us to Love ourself.
    Today’s Focal Scriptures:

    *Proverbs 19:8 (CEB)
Those who acquire good sense love themselves; those who keep understanding find success.

    **Ephesians 5:29 (NLT)
No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church.

Beloved, God Wants You to Love Yourself. God created you and made you just the way you are, and He loves you just the way you are, no matter what you look like. God does not want us to live our lives burdened with feelings of hatred, disappointment, or anxieties about our own abilities and worth. God created us precisely in His image and likeness.

  • “In Love”

Praise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀 Happy Friday to you. 😀

Beloved, have you ever sung harmony with another person?

If you have, then you know a person hits the first note, and then you hit a note that sounds good with their note. Harmony only occurs because a melody has been established. Any note that that’s discordant or out of harmony with God’s plan and purpose is a note that’s going to clang or disturb the nerves that will cause distress to the body. It’s going to create a noise, not a pleasant sound. It’s going to disturb, obstruct, and counteract what God has planned for us and those whose lives we touch.

Beloved, there’s only one lead singer, “God.” God is the lead singer!!! 😀 He sings the melody, and it’s our role to harmonize with Him. We must match His rhythm and His tempo. We must give up the “lead” to Him, saying: yes, I’ll be your holy vessel, totally submitted to whatever You desire to do in me and through me. This morning what I’ve described here is nothing more than an act being before Him in love. Beloved, our destiny can only be discovered and lived as we walk in harmony with God, “according to” or “in the same dimension as” the powerful understanding that He has chosen us from time eternal.

As we end another week and stand at the door of another weekend, let’s all remember we’re His precious vessel of honor. In Christ, we’re pure and without blemish. We must always be conscious of His presence in our lives. With knowledge of the truths, we’ll sing in tune with His song of love toward us and through us to reach the world. ✝️❤️

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, I have surrendered the lead to You.
I cannot sing; I had no business trying to be the lead singer in my life. I have found my joy in singing harmony. Today my life’s rhythm and tempo have a beautiful Melody. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, I pray Amen and Aaamen. ✝️❤️

Have a Blessed Friday and a Harmonious Weekend Everyone. ✝️❤️😊
  • Mercy and Grace

    4 27 2020 Hebrews 4 16

Praise The Lord Everyone!!! Happy Monday to you. ✝️❤️😊

The Bible says in Exodus 34:6 (AMP) that the Lord God is *“compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth (faithfulness).”

Not long ago, I was asked, what’s the difference between God’s mercy and His grace? Beloved, mercy is God not disciplining or imprisoning us as our sins deserve, and grace is God blessing us although we don’t deserve it. In other words, MERCY is being released, freed, or liberated from a verdict, opinion, conviction, or decision, and GRACE is increasing, providing, or expanding compassion, sympathy, or helpfulness to the shameful, dishonorable or undeserving.

God incessantly gives us these collaborative blessings even though we may not be justified to receive them. Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT) says, *8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. *9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” God’s mercy directs us toward clemency, in other words, compassion or leniency, while His grace directs us toward understanding, compromising, or a resolution.

Beloved, it doesn’t matter what we’ve done in our past; God is prepared and eager to award us mercy and grace. Now two stipulations are required to receive these gifts of mercy and grace, 1. we must humble ourselves and acknowledge to God that we’ve lived incorrectly and 2. We need Him. When we admit that we’re sinners, we’ll comprehend and accept God’s love for us as exhibited through His ultimate gift— Jesus Christ’s death on the Cross. Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

    Let Us Pray:
*Dear Heavenly Father, once again, I thank You for Your grace and mercy. Many people gave up on me, many have turned their backs on me, and some have even said my credibility wasn’t any good. Thank You, God, for being kind and compassionate. Thank You for liberating me from the wrong path I chose, all people places, and influences that played god in my past experiences in life. Thank You, God, for the people that prayed for me and those that never gave up on me. Our ways and thoughts are far different from Yours, and our godless vision is temporal. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen, and Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

Let us all remember to wash our hands and continue to stay in compliance with social distancing.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a Splendid Monday and an Efficient Week, Everyone. ✝️❤️😊

  • “The Proper Motivation To Serve”

    3 13 2020 Bishop Houston's Weekend Words Joshua 24 14

    Praise the Lord, Everyone. ✝️❤️😊

Beloved after Joshua assembled the heads of every community and family unit of Israel; he informed them what God needed them to know. It was a summary of what God had done for them – from the time He selected Abraham, up to the time they made it to the Promised Land. It was God who instructed them to do everything, brought them out from Egypt, liberated them from their adversaries, and took them to the promised land. God revealed His love, character, and power throughout the years to them. Joshua told them to respect the Lord and to assist Him loyally and conscientiously.

Beloved, this is the best reaction we can give to God for His passionate affection and liberating love for us. It prompts us to seek God always and no other people. We must support Him not because of our friend(s), co-worker(s), cliques or family member(s), or the blessings we can get, but because of who He is, what He’s done, and what He’ll do.

Beloved as we enter this Friday and step into the weekend, remember the Lord alone is Great and Mighty. He has been very good to you all your life. He loves you “the person” and loves you without anyone’s approval. You don’t need anyone’s consent to serve Him faithfully. Believe me when I say: when you go to Him as an individual and obey Him, you’ll receive blessings, wisdom, and understanding that will help you spend your life marveling and thanking Him for loving and giving to you. Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

Have a Great Friday and a wonderful weekend, Everyone.

  • “Probing For Spiritual Answers – Divorce”

This Week Probing For Spiritual Answers Question Divorce

    Praise The Lord Beloved!!! ✝️❤️😊

    This Mornings Question is:
Bishop Houston, I been taught that Christians can’t divorce. Can you tell me if a Christian can get a divorce?
    😊

Answer: This is a great question. 😊 Thank you for asking.

There are lots of scripture that speaks on marriage and divorce in the Old and New Testament of the Bible. First, I want it to be clear that it’s important to know that God despises divorce-He hates separation. (*1). And even though we can’t say it’s constantly right or wrong for a Christian to want to get a divorce, or for a divorced Christian to marry again, what we can say is divorce is clearly an extremely unwelcome event.

I’m a product of divorced parents and I’ve been divorced, and I can tell you from experience that there’s pain that comes with fractured relationships and there’s a lot of tension divorce puts on family members—and it becomes more complicated when children have been born during the relationship. Everyone is affected by a divorce. The action of marriage realistically unites two people as one flesh. Divorce separates and ends the chapter and the book of this new life that was established.

The Law of Moses tackled the issue of divorce head-on with detailed guidelines. But when Jesus came, He established a new directive that has an even higher requirement. We’re no longer under the law of Moses, we’re now governed by the law of love. Jesus says in John 13:34 (AMP) “I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another.”
Beloved this rule is for “EVERY” situation: Romans 13:8, and verse 10 (NLT)says: 8 Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law – and verses 10 says: Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law. Galatians 5:14 (AMP) says: For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is fulfilled in one precept, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, you shall have an unselfish concern for others and do things for their benefit].” Galatians 6:2 (AMP) says: Carry one another burdens and in this way, you will fulfill the requirements of the law of Christ [that is, the law of Christian love]. James 2:8 (NCV) says 8 This royal law is found in the Scriptures: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” If you obey this law, you are doing right.

So, when both partners enter the union of marriage makes every effort to walk in the love of God, their marriage will never fail. Now, if a believer is in a marriage in which this isn’t the case, he or she should seek the Lord for advice and permit the Holy Spirit to direct him or her in the direction of the truth (*3). Now I want to make it understood right that divorce is still not the best choice. The Lord may direct the person in several ways. Only he or she and God know if divorce is a choice.

Beloved, divorce is certainly not God’s good quality. But it’s also not the conclusion of a successful Christian life. As believers, we can anticipate to be led by the Spirit of God and know that He neither brings condemnation against us (Romans 8:1 (NLT) – So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.) nor eliminates anyone from a unique place in His plan (Romans 11:29 (NLT) – For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.) It’s only through Him, the divorced man or woman can walk in victory and achieve everything God has called them to accomplish!!!

Beloved, there’s no explicit biblical law for the Christian concerning divorce, other than they follow the law of love. The same law of love is valid when it comes to remarriage. The decision to remarry should be centered on the love of God and not on egotistical or materialistic desires. If a believer does get a divorce and he or she feels they’re genuinely prepared to move into a new union of marriage with another believer, he or she should do so with confidence that the Lord will bless that union. Bear In Mind, in Christ all things become new – 2 Corinthians 5:17 says: This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

  • “It’s Only Transitory”

    9 29 2019 week 2 Bishop Houston's Sunday Morning Church Post It's Only Transitory

In this world, every one of us has difficulties and troubling situations, but aren’t you happy that scripture promises that they’re only transitory? Our Sunday morning verse tells us they’re momentary – this too shall pass. Compared with eternity, our difficulties won’t last always!!! The second part of this verse tells us that when we stand strong in faith during times of hardship, we’re building that faith and attaining eternal glory. When you acknowledge your trust and reliance on God, you’re passing the exam!!!

Beloved, if you’re in the central part of tough times in your life, look to God. The Bible says that Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith. He’s the one who writes faith on the tablet of your mind and seal’s it on the walls of your emotions then matures it until it’s completed on the inside of you as you submit yourself to Him. The only requirements for you are to: SEEK HIM DAILY, FOLLOW HIS COMMANDS, OPEN YOUR HEART AND CHOOSE TO SPEAK HIS WORD which is alive, and dynamic. Remember, your troubling situations are only transitory, but His eternal glory dwarfs them all!!!

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for working Your eternal glory in me. I cast every one of my cares on You, knowing that my difficulties and troubling situations are only transitory. Thank You for Your eternal blessing on my life today and always. In Jesus’ Name, I Pray, Amen and Aaamen.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! – Have a “Blessed” Sunday, Everyone. 😀
