  • “Stay Encouraged”

    Stay Encouraged.png

    Praise the Lord Beloved!!!
My charge to you today is “STAY ENCOURAGED!!!” Your resolution has to be larger than “any of your discomforts that is challenging you today. Don’t let your stress, anxiety or pressure befuddle you from the advice that God has given you for your life. You too have a degree of greatness in you. There’s a purpose that’s inside of you that’s calling you to create and develop your greatness using your experiences with worrying, pressures, and anxieties as your tools.
Beloved, your discomforts or disorders, will not last always. The discomforts or disorders that you’re going “through” is creating and building you a far more exceeding and external weight of glory.
So, instead of fixing your eyes on the discomforts you see now, fix them on what is unseen, because what is seen is temporary, and the things that are not seen are Eternal.

    To God Be the Glory!!!
    Have a blessed Wednesday Everyone.
  • “Let the Exposure Begin”

    Morning Blog1 Timothy 2:3-4
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Hello friends!!! I hope you had a great weekend.
On yesterday I spoke with a few people at a restaurant after my morning message to a great congregation in Miamisburg Ohio. After church a few of its members invited the First Lady and I to a wonderful Mexican restaurant (Chuy’s). As we all set there talking about the message and other church things, the people setting around our tables started to engage themselves in our conversation. I had no idea that, so many were listening to our conversation until the questions started. 😀 I found myself in a question and answer forum right there in the restaurant.
    ALL GLORY GOES TO GOD!!!

As I talked with them I couldn’t help but notice how many of them have gone to great lengths to squeeze knowledge from God when all they needed to do is go to the Bible.

Beloved, God’s not holding Himself back from anyone. It’s His will for every man and woman to walk in exposure with Him. One of the statements made to me yesterday was from a gentleman who said: “Well Bishop, Houston- that is your name, correct?” I responded with a smile and a “yes.” He said, “God’s not going to give everyone that’s a sinner in here a revelation.”  And I responded with a question to him, “Really?” Then I asked him a few more questions. I asked, “Why do He think God sends His chosen ministers, to preach to the sinners? Why do you think He sent His Word?” He sent the Word to expose what we hide.

He sends His ministers to reveal the truth!!!

Beloved, if you want to know the truth, just open the Book and read it. All of it!!! Not just the parts that are in red. Those aren’t the only parts Jesus said. He said everything in Genesis. He said everything in Exodus. He said everything in Numbers. He said everything in Deuteronomy. He said everything in Leviticus. He said everything in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. He said everything in Romans. He said everything in the Book. That’s’ because He’s the Word!!!  In fact, if you’ll read Galatians 3, you’ll discover that every promise made to Abraham was for Jesus!!! It was the promises that brought Him. It was the promises that enabled Him to heal and deliver people. He didn’t minister by some special power no one else could have. He based His ministry on the exposures He’d received through faith in the written Word of God. You see, when the devil came to tempt Him, He didn’t fight him off with a special legion of angels who’d been assigned to protect Him because He was God’s Son. He fought him off with the phrase, “It is written.”

Beloved, God has equipped you to do the same. He’s given you His written Word, and He’s given you His Holy Spirit to help you understand it. He’s more than ready to give you the knowledge you need.  Beloved, we don’t have to squeeze it out of Him. All we have to do is just open the Book and let the exposure begin.

Have a wonderful Monday and great week ahead!!! 😀

  • “GREATER”

    Magnitude to motivate

    Praise the Lord Beloved!!!

Well, another Weekend is up on us.
Beloved, as we enter the weekend let us all be reminded that we’re to love one another as God has loved us. Just because someone has less than you don’t give you the right to look down on or belittle the person that has less. You must remember that someone in this world may have a little more than you. So, how would you feel if it were you that was being looked down on or belittled?
Beloved, when we were kids in our minds some of us dreamed that we were the greatest. As we grew up and started working we entertained the thought of being the supervisor or even the CEO of the company we worked for.
Even when we were blessed to be elevated to a new position or status on our job it looked great in the eyes of others, but we knew that in our mind we were not satisfied with just stopping there, we wanted to climb higher, we wanted to be greater. because we want “GREATER”!!! So confidently we say, to ourself, “the desire of greatness can’t be all bad.”
Beloved, don’t go into this weekend with a “BIG HEAD!!!” You see,
the lust for greatness is a great motivator. But Jesus said that greatness, like life and so many other things, cannot be obtained by seeking what we desire. Instead, greatness is given when we follow Jesus and choose to live as servants.
Let the magnitude of love (Agape’) that Jesus illustrated motivate
    you this weekend.

    Have a Blessed Weekend Everyone.

  • “Overcoming Worry Inducing Situations”

    Morning Blog

Hello friends!!! I hope your weekend was great.

My blog for you today is about one of the most common happiness stealing habits around.

*It’s the worries that drag us down and holds us back from living the life we deep down dream about.

So today, I am going to just quickly share one tip that really helps me out with this issue.

It’s a simple two question combination that I have asked myself over and over until it has become a habit. These questions often pop up automatically in my head in worry inducing situations.

The first question goes like this: How many times the things I’m worried about has happened to me or would happen in my life? Normally, most things that we fear will happen, never happens. They’re just sinister things that occupy space in our own mind.

And worrying is most often just a surplus of mental energy to use time. Now before you start throwing stones at me, I want you to know “I” for one, know this is easy to say. But, if you remind yourself of how little of what you feared throughout your life that has actually happened to you, can start to release more and more of that worry from your thoughts.

So, I ask myself this question to remind myself of how little of the things that I have worried about over the years that have actually become real.

Honestly and realistically, *what is the worst that could happen?*

You see, I’ve come to realize that when fears feel vague in your mind, when you lack clarity, then it’s very easy to get lost in exaggerated worries and disaster scenarios.

So, you must find clarity in a worry-inducing situation by asking yourself: Honestly and realistically, what is the worst that could happen?

When I have answered that question, then I follow it up with spending a little bit of time on figuring out what I can do about it, if that unlikely thing happens.

In my experience, the worst that could realistically happens is usually not as scary as what my mind could make up when it’s running wild with vague fears.

Beloved, spending a few minutes on finding clarity in this way can save you a whole lot of time, energy and suffering.

I hope this question combo will help you also, to calm yourself down and to think more clearly and optimistically again.

Take care, and take it one step (one day) at a time.
    You’ll be glad you did.

Have a wonderful Monday and great week ahead!!! 😀
