“God Extends His Affection”
Focal Text: John 4:1-42
Praise the Lord Beloved!!!
I have just finished my morning reading and it was about the story of Jesus’ encounter with a Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well. I’m sure many of you have read this story. If you haven’t, let me tell you, it gives us a wonderful example of His loving response to hurting individuals. You know, Jesus is always extending His affectionate love, even when we don’t recognize His hand reaching out.
Beloved, although this meeting may have appeared accidental, it wasn’t. It was really a preordained appointment with the Messiah. You see, as the woman reached the well, Jesus initiated a conversation by asking for a drink of water. Now, it’s at this point, Jesus’ direct approach surprised her, and it opened the door for a dialogue that would change her life forever.
Beloved, throughout their conversation, Jesus’ goal was to help the woman recognize her greatest need, so He could supply her with the only gift that would meet that need, and that need was salvation and the forgiveness of her sins. You see, she had spent her life trying to find love and acceptance in all the wrong places. Christ offered her the living water of the Holy Spirit, which was the only thing that would quench her spiritual and emotional thirst.
At times Beloved, we act like the Samaritan woman.
We become so intent on getting our immediate needs met that we fail to see God’s hand extended out to us in love, offering what will truly satisfy us. Only Christ can fill our empty souls for eternity and provide us with our essential emotional needs now.
Beloved, this world is filled with wells that promise to provide love, acceptance, and self-worth, but they never fully satisfy us. When your soul is empty and the well runs dry in your life, look for Jesus. He has a divine appointment scheduled with you, and He’ll quench your thirst with His Spirit, “if you let Him”.
May God add blessings to His readers.
Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for Your divine love. Lord, at times I tend to want to have things done right now. Thank You for Your preordained Word that helps me refocus and look for Your extended affection when the things in my life becomes dehydrated. In Jesus’ Mighty name I pray,
Amen and Amen…

“The Issue Could Be Inside the Heart”
Breaking Bread with Bishop Houston
1 Samuel 16:7
For the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.Praise the Lord Beloved.
You know, I have found too often that we ask God to repair the complications around us when what He really wants to do is solve the issues within us. A few years ago, I did this trying to lose weight. I prayed and prayed and prayed for God to help me lose weight. But all I experienced was constant disappointment. I would literally lose 20-25 pounds, but regain every pound right back again. Then one day, I made a strong decision. I told God, “I’m not going another step toward losing weight until I find out how to properly handle this weight issue!!!” Then I went on a fast. I closed myself away from everyone, because I was determined to hear from God.
Beloved, during that fast the Lord revealed the real source of my problem. He showed me that I wanted to lose weight, but I didn’t want to permanently change my eating habits. I was like an alcoholic who wants to be able to drink constantly and not be affected by it. I wanted to eat full meals all day and get my weight down to 230!!!
Beloved, all of a sudden it hit!!! God wasn’t satisfied about me simply getting rid of those extra pounds on the outside of me. He wanted me to get rid of the sin of gluttony on the inside of me. So, I repented of that sin right then and there.
And, it wasn’t until then that I realized just how hard it is for a man/woman who drinks or have other addictions to face the fact that he/she are an alcoholic or addict. It hurts to admit something like that. So, instead of asking God to deliver me from my weight problem, I asked Him for deliverance from my food problem.
And sure enough, He did it.
Beloved, if your prayers don’t seem to be changing the problems around you, maybe it’s time to take a look inside. Maybe, your issue could be inside your heart
Beloved, it might be time to ask God to go to work on the issues inside your heart.

“Faith in God is a Christian’s Lifestyle”
Breaking Bread with Bishop Houston
2 Timothy 2:3
Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus..Praise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀
You know, we all have had our share of suffering, it’s unavoidable. As long as you’re alive you’ll come face to face with suffering. Sure, we’ve been transformed from our old immoral character, and there’s nothing Satan can do to reverse that, but he “IS’ going to challenge you on it every chance he gets.So Beloved, don’t be surprised when things get rough. There’ll be times when you must stand firmly on your faith, when you’ll have to speak and act as though what God says is true even when you can’t feel it or see it happening around you. There’ll be times when everything looks awful. That’s when you must endure suffering as a good soldier.
You know Beloved, there are so many people who hear about the word of faith, about healing or prosperity and they think, Hey!!! I’m going to try that!!! Then when the suffering or hard times come, they give up and give in
.
Beloved, let me caution you, living by faith “IS NOT” something you try. It’s a lifestyle!!! You do it when things get tough. You do it when it’s easy. You do it all the time because you’re not doing it just to get in on the benefits. You’re doing it because you believe what Hebrews11:6 says.Beloved, things may get a little rough at times somebody may say or do something you don’t like, but I guarantee you, you’ll always come out on top if you endure suffering as a good soldier. If you refuse to get weak and fall off, “YOU WILL” have the victory!!! 😀
Beloved, the only defeated Christian is the one who quits!!!

“A Great Opulence”

Praise the Lord Beloved!!!
I pray that your weekend was blessed.
I send my love prayers and respect to my friends and family
who lost loves ones and I say God’s speed to my family and friends who are sick or entered the hospital.Beloved over the weekend I had the honor to minister to a young couple about their faith in God and God’s ability to prosper them when they put their faith in Him and Him alone “full time.” I told them that a full-time faith in God, will open the windows of heaven and bless them with so many blessings from everywhere they wouldn’t be able to receive them all. Of course, they asked me what did I mean when I said, “full time faith”?
Beloved, full-time faith is having a “no doubt-unwavering attitude” in the things God can do in your life. You see, before He starts to put checks in your mail-box or floating money your way, your passion about the things of God must become in depth and personal,
just like a marriage. Your mental positioning must be stationary, and focused on Him before He starts planting the seeds of opulence in your life. In the Book of Genesis, you’ll find that he was sold as a slave to the Egyptians, and he didn’t have a dime to his name. He didn’t even have his freedom. He’d been sold as a slave. But, right in the middle of his slavery, God gave Joseph such wisdom and ability that he made his owner prosper. As a result, the man put Joseph in charge of all his possessions. You’ll find that later, Joseph was put in prison. And many of us know there’s not much of a chance for development in prison. But God gave him insight that no other man in Egypt had. Beloved, that insight landed him a position on Pharaoh’s staff. Not as a slave but as the most honored man in the entire country next to Pharaoh himself. He rode along in a chariot and people literally bowed down before him.
Now watch this – 😀
When the worldwide famine came, Joseph was put in charge of all the food.
NOW THAT’S PROSPERITY!!! This was all accomplished by God, because Joseph had an unwavering full-time faith in God.Beloved, no matter how depressing your state of affairs may be, no matter how unbearable your problems may be, God is able to disclose the spiritual secrets that would open the door(s) of success for you as your unwavering full-time faith grows.
Beloved, God will bless the seeds of prosperity He plants in your life and grant you great harvest of opulence.
Have a Great Week Everyone!!! 😀
