“Hearsay /Gossip – Purpose Destroyers”

10 29 2019 Loose lips
BHMSS Biblical Passage for the day:
1. GOSSIP – James 1:26 (NLT): If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.
2. HEARSAY – Exodus 23:1 (AMP): You shall not give a false report; you shall not join hands with the wicked to be a malicious witness [promoting wrong and violence].

Praise the Lord Beloved. Happy Tuesday to you.

Have you ever heard the Idiom “Loose Lips Sinks Ship? The phrase originated on propaganda posters during World War II. The phrase was created by the War Advertising Council and used on posters by the United States Office of War Information. It has become an American admonition to avoid careless talk in general. (Wikipedia).

Beloved, many of us have been to court for something, a traffic ticket, divorce, a misdemeanor or a felony case ect…

How would you feel if you receive a guilty verdict or judgment without ever going into a courtroom because of hearsay or gossip? How would you feel if the court indicted, judged and sentenced you with no knowledge of why you’re being sentenced or if you’ve never been given the opportunity to explain your side because of what someone heard or what someone said? Well, that’s what happens when we spread hearsay, that’s what happens when we turn hearsay into gossip, and that’s what happens when we don’t hear both sides of any situation.

*Hearsay is information received from other people that one cannot adequately substantiate – RUMOR.
*Gossip – casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true.

Beloved, spreading idle talk without facts are rumors that damages the confidence and self-esteem of people and it also creates the tension between individuals, co-workers, neighbors, and families. Hearsay and gossip are purpose destroyers. They have a bull’s eye or heat sensor detector on the target it is aimed at.

Beloved, we must stop judging people with hearsay and gossip as our only evidence. Both are inadmissible in most courtrooms. Hearsay and gossip will get your case dismissed by an angry judge and a contempt of court charge just may be added to the perpetrator (s). We all know facing an angry God is not a good thing. Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the new day. Thank You for the opportunity to move past the old and unwanted former characteristics and move forward according to Your purpose. As we go forward reminded us of the old idiom “loose lips sink ships” when we attempt to deliver hearsay and gossip.

In Jesus’s Name, I pray, Amen and Amen.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE. I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have an awesome Tuesday everyone.
