Beloved, have you encouraged or inspired anyone today? The Bible says to encourage one another daily. This tells me that encouragement should be practiced in our lives so that is becomes routine.

Growing up, my mother was a great inspiration. She always taught my brother Glynn Jr. and I to go out of our way to help others that needed help. And always be kind and always have an encouraging smile. Today I still make those spiritual deposits. When I look back over my life, the best part is the fact that I can inspire people with a smile and encourage many with a kind word. Today, I truly believe that I’m standing in some blessings because I’ve always tried to bring encouragement to some and inspiration to others. It’s something I was brought up to do and today I am able to pass on to others.

Maybe no one has taught you how to encourage or inspire and you may find it more challenging. But God says to encourage one another daily, which tells me He has put encouragement and inspiration into the minds and emotions of each of us. We all can cultivate a heart of encouragement and inspiration. It may just take a little practice.

The best place to be an inspiration and encourage is in your own home. If you make your home an environment of inspiration and encouragement, I believe that you’ll see peace and blessings in your life like you never expected. I believe your life will go to another level. I believe that if husbands and wives would encourage and inspire one another, families will go to another level higher.

When First Lady “Niecy” and I were first married, I would study her and watch what she was good at. I would thank her and encourage her. I’d read my Bible, and when a scripture would jump out at me, I would discuss with her. We may discuss it while in bed earlier in the morning while preparing for our day, during one of our breaks during the day or over dinner. One scripture that she loves and it encourages me says: “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Beloved let me tell you, just to know that she believes in me that much has given me incredible strength in my life.

Beloved, I want you to always remember that the people who are closest to you need your encouragement and inspiration the most. Go out of your way to inspire and encourage your loved ones daily. Make those spiritual deposits and watch how God pours out His abundant blessing in your life in return!!!

Hebrews 3:13 (NCV) says: “But encourage each other every day while it is “today.” Help each other so none of you will become hardened because sin has tricked you.”
