“Unpretentiousness and Uncomplicatedness”

Beloved, just reading this morning’s verse alone, we can see that John the Baptist wasn’t your normal man or systematic God-fearing person. The clothes he chose to wear were not very fashionable, as a matter of fact, his clothes appear to be old or odd, his food of choice was also unique and unusual.John didn’t care what others thought about him or his external appearance. He didn’t care about the opinion of others because he was focused on working for God. Beloved, as long as we’re in this world residing in our earthly tents, we’re always going to be affected and enticed by worldly pressures. But when we’re devoted to serving God, we think less of this materialistic world, our intensive absorption is to amplify God and His kingdom. Now, we don’t have to dress like John or eat locusts as he did, but let John be a good example to us in living a life of unpretentiousness and uncomplicatedness.Beloved, as we head into this weekend remember it’s OK to live a life that’s uncharacteristic and inflexible. Continue your loyal quest to gratify God rather than men and women.Weekend Prayer:Dear Heavenly Father thank You for showing us that life doesn’t need to be complicated. Life is about more than material things. What we wear or what we eat isn’t a prerequisite to serving You. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.Have a great Friday and a “Fantastic” Weekend Everyone!!!😀 -
“The Worlds Real Abscess”
Praise the Lord Beloved, and Happy Monday to Everyone!!! 😀Beloved, for the past several months I’ve noticed the spirit of pride is drenching our nation everywhere. Pride has saturated just about every realm in this world. Today’s society (world) is teaching everyone to focus only on themselves and forget others in order to be successful. But you know, where there’s pride, politicking is very involved and when politicking occurs division ensues, then the emotional adrenalin starts to run wild.Pride is one of the most difficult attitudes to get rid of in life. The world’s ideal impression to focus only on ourselves and forget others in order to be efficacious is completely conflicting to what God has taught us in His word. Before finger pointing starts, we’re all guilty of it in one form or another!!! From hidden agendas to straight up in your face bullying, our society today has flat out insulted the Words of God.Beloved, we’re supposed to love others as we love ourselves. We have to let go of our selfish ambition and pride and start regarding others as better than ourselves. God wants us to do things selflessly and not selfishly. That’s the best way to live out humility in our lives. We may seem deficient and inferior to others, but always remember that God’s judgment is the only one that matters, and He gives grace to the humble. The Late Rodney King said it best:“CAN WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?”“Beloved Pride Is the Abscess That’s Hurting Our World Today.”Let Us Pray:Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me for my pride. I want to be drench with Your love so that I may love others and become selfless and humble. Help me to recognize the pride, selfishness and arrogance in others and grant me the strength to redirect my path from all iniquity. Lord, I put my trust in You.In Jesus’ Mighty Name I Pray. Amen and Amen.Have a blessed Week Everyone. -
“Separated from the World”

1 John 5:4 (AMP)
Whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.
You know, many years ago the devil started an untruth. He told a few Christians that as long as they’re alive, they had to suffer as the world did. He told them they had to share the diseases and the defeat, the deficiencies and the disappointments of those around them.
It was a crafty lie, and it worked!!! Believers accepted it and began to spread it among themselves. You may have even heard it yourself. If so, I want to help you put that untruth to rest today. I want to help you get the facts straight once and for all.
You see, despite what you may have heard, health, affluence and victorious living aren’t concepts some well-off greedy believer selfishly dreamed up. They’re God’s ideas.
Now, someone out there might be saying: “That sounds really good, Bishop Houston, but we’ve got to be realistic. We live in a world that’s full of problems. And as long as we live in this world, it seems to me we’re going to have our share.”
And I do agree with you 100%. Even Jesus said, “In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration.” But now want you to notice, He didn’t stop there!!! He went on to say in John 16:33 (AMP), “But be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you]”.
Beloved, most believers don’t have any trouble believing the first part of that verse. They know all too well how many problems, prosecutions, sufferings and obstructions surround them. But they’re less certain about the last part. They haven’t yet experienced for themselves exactly what Jesus meant when He said He had deprived those things of power to harm them.
Someone out there may be asking: Bishop Houston why not? “WELL I’M GLAD YOU ASKED!!!”
It’s because they’re still living as though they’re part of the world. Listen Beloved. Jesus said in John 17:17 you and I are to be “sanctified,” or separated from the evils of this world. We are consecrated through the Words of God!!!Beloved, the Word of God will separate you from the world. His Word will set His dream for victory into motion in your life. If you’ll receive it and believe it, speak it and act on it, that Word will set you apart from those around you. It will take you from trouble to triumph again and again.

“THERE IS SO MUCH IMMORALITY IN THE WORLD – WHY?”

Here Is Today’s Question
Glogus Utilly asked:
Bishop Houston, our world is filled with so much violence and many crooked people. I want to believe God exist, but it is hard for me to be a believer when there is so much immoral behavior and twisted minds. Can you explain to me why is God letting this happen if He exist?
(Glogus Utilly)Thank you for your question Glogus Utilly.
Answer:
You know, this is a tough and awkward question that I’m sure many people are wanting an answer for. Well, the most unpretentious way to look at this question is to inspect God’s nature and His desire for the creative human.
So, let’s look at God’s reason.
God loves us and wants us to love Him back. So, how could we love Him back unless we have the liberty to not love?Sure, God could have created us to be like machines who don’t do anything but say, “I love you. I love you. I love you.” But that would be forceful and not real love or in other the words the love God has created.

Glogus love is an action word so that makes love a choice. So, if you have a choice you must be able to choose not to love and that in itself is the nature of immoral behavior and twisted minds. You see, a malicious mind chooses not to love. So, when God gave us the freedom to choose, He gave us not only our greatest blessing, but He also gave us our greatest curse because we can choose to do right or choose to do wrong.

So, the reason there’s so much unrest, immorality and many twisted minds in the world isn’t because of God, but because God gave us the freedom to choose.
Now the possibility for love outweighs the existence of depravity because unrest, immorality, and twisted minds will only exist for a short time, but love is going to go on forever. All of the misery, sadness, and death that we see in the world today are a result that man/women have selected by making wrong choices.

Glogus, God could have taken our freedom, but He didn’t. I hope you’ll use your freedom to become a believer and choose God.Thank you for your question Glogus Utilly.

“Is there a reason why I am being hated on by the world?”

The answer is Yes!!!In our Christian walk we come up against obstacles, conflicts, hardships, hatred, and opposition on a daily basis.Through relationships, situations and daily life occurrences we are often made to feel like we are outcasts, outsiders, ostracized and excluded by the world.
***It is during these times that we as Christians feel like it is us against the world. The truth is: “the world is against us”. In fact, we are hated and despised by the world; because as Christians we are no longer a part of the world. The world loves its own, and the world is designed to love, nurture and protect its own.
Not only does the world hate Christians, but the world hated Jesus first.
Jesus has chosen us to be part of Him; ending all of our ties with the world. With all of our ties to the world being severed, there are no more connections. We no longer belong to the world. So now instead of the world loving us it now hates us.
In John 15: 18 – 19 (AMP) 18 “If the world hates you [and it does], know that it has hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you belonged to the world, the world would love [you as] its own and would treat you with affection. But you are not of the world [you no longer belong to it], but I have chosen you out of the world. And because of this the world hates you.
So in essence, since we are no longer a part of the world, we can’t expect to get the joys, accolades, love, affections, acceptance and rewards from the world.
So don’t get discouraged and dejected when you are hurt, rejected, excluded, ostracized and hated on by the world.
***Remember the world loves and takes care of its own. We have been set aside. Jesus has handpicked and chosen us to be a part of Him.
God Bless you all,Enjoy the rest of your week and have a blessed Christmas!
