  • “Not Held Accountable”

    Weekend Inspirational Word:

You know Beloved, when Cain murdered his brother and lied to conceal the homicide, God told Cain that Abel’s death (blood) cried out to Him from the ground and demanded justice.

Beloved, God answered Cain’s question clearly: “WE ARE” our brother’s keeper. Centuries later, He stressed this point to Ezekiel when He sent the prophet to Israel’s insubordinate nation. In Ezekiel 3, the Lord warned Ezekiel that if he didn’t inform the wicked or tried to save the wick’s life, and they died in their sin, their death would be his fault.

It’s the people of God’s moral-ethical responsibility to witness to the lost. If we fail to do so, and their souls are banished, God will hold us at fault. Their blood (death) will be on our hands.

When Paul addressed the elders at Ephesus for the last time, he proclaimed that he was “innocent of the blood of all men.” He had advocated the Gospel completely, passionately, and without regret. The people that didn’t get saved couldn’t indict him.

Beloved as we end another week and prepare for the weekend, let us all keep in mind that we have a higher-ranked calling, a sacred responsibility that we’ll be held accountable. Our hands are not released from the blood (spiritual or carnal death) of the carnal until we have done all we can to win those souls to the restorative comprehension of Jesus Christ. Amen Aaamen.

May the Lord exalt you and protect you. May the Lord’s unconditional love create a joyful glow on you and be compassionate to you and give you His tranquility. May you walk with courage these last days and take every opportunity to proclaim the Good News of Jesus to the lost.

Have an enjoyable Friday and a Fantastic weekend.

  • “Unhurried Anger”

Beloved, have you ever started reading your Bible, feeling everything was all right between you and God, only to have the Word unexpectedly cut deep into your soul to reveal some sin(s) you had ignored or tried to hide? Well, that usually happens because God is trying to eradicate sin in His children. The Holy Spirit utilizes the Word to infiltrate the secret camouflaged recesses of the heart to do His convicting and purifying work. How you react to that procedure is an indicator of the validity of your faith.

In James 1:19-20 (AMP), “Anger” refers to an adverse “cynical” reaction to that process. It’s a deep-rooted down to the core resentment complemented by the arrogance of rejection. Sometimes that kind of dislike can be slick – tricky. In 2 Tim. 4. 3 (AMP) Paul described it well: those who “but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold.”

Beloved Paul is talking about the people who drift from church to church, social media post to post. Their search is for someone who will tell them what they want to hear—or a congregation that wants a pastor or a divine leader who’ll make them feel good about themselves instead of preaching and teaching the Word and setting a high standard of holiness.

Sometimes dislike toward the Word stops being slick – tricky and turns into wide-open public hostility. That’s precisely what happened to Steven in Acts 7:57-60. The crowd Stephen confronted covered up their ears, drove him out of the city, and smashed him with rocks until they killed him. Many others throughout history have experienced the lethal blows of those whose bitterness of God’s Truth turned to hatred for His people. Acquiring the Word incorporates being quick to hear what it reveals and slow to get upset “mad” when it differs from your point of view or confronts your sin.

As we end another week and prepare to walk through Weekend’s door, let’s disengage our hostile attitude towards the Truth that exposes our secret sin(s) or differs from our secrets or (hidden agenda’s) opinion. We must welcome The Word’s rebuke and listen to its warnings; the real healing occurs when we stop resenting what the Truth has uncovered. When a Christian brother or sister confronts sin in your life, accept it. Rejecting their counsel will automatically start the disconnection process for support to your revival. ✝️❤️

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the power of Your Word to convict me and propel me to repentance. I welcome Your Word of Truth that embeds correction with humility and thanksgiving. In Jesus’ Mighty Name I Pray, Amen and Aaamen. ✝️❤️

May your Friday be filled with agape love and your weekend be escorted by the revealing Truth of God’s Word. ✝️❤️😊
  • “The Path You Set Your Opinions On”

    4 24 2020 Bishop Houston's Weekend Words Proverbs 23 7
You know, Beloved, there are times we need to stop and think about what we’re experiencing or considering!!! The Bible informs us by saying what materializes on the inside of us “our opinions, concepts and objectives” are more valuable to God than what transpires on the outside. You can deceive people all day long by saying the proper things, but the scripture tells us that God is watching our mind and emotions. He wants our opinions and mindsets to be positioned with His Word so that we can see His assurances come to fruition in our lives.

Beloved, your life will stay on the path you set your opinions. When you parallel your views with God’s views, your life will follow Him. Jeremiah 29 tells us that His views are for our good. His opinions are for our tranquility. His ideas are for our victory!!! So, as we come to an end to another week and head into the weekend, associate your opinions with His views by reflecting on His Word. Incorporate His assurances so that you can move forward into the life of victory He has arranged for you!!! Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, today I concede every area of my life to You. Help my opinions, “the way I look at things” line up with Your Word. As I end this week and You allow me to head into the weekend, bring Your assurances to my memory when I’m meditating on You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen, and Aaamen. ✝️❤️

Have a Magnificent Friday and a Thoughtful and Astute Weekend, Everyone. ✝️❤️😊
  • “Giving The Streets Something To Talk About”

    3 16 2020 1 Samuel 17 28
Praise The Lord Everyone!!! Happy Monday to you!!! ✝️❤️😊

    Beloved the streets talk!!!

Have you ever been a part of the conversation when the streets were talking? How about when the roads were talking, and you were the centerpiece of the discourse? I have, and I have no doubt, I’m still the featured figure spoken negatively about by many today.

Before I returned to my life’s spiritual foundation, I would battle the streets for my reputation. One day while reading and researching the Word of God, I received a revelation. The revelation stung me hard. It showed me the culprit of my battles. What I didn’t take time to realize during my worldly experiences is the majority of my actions came from battling with the unseen. You see, when the streets get to talking, finding the person that initiated the initial negative dialog is about as challenging as the DEA trying to find a drug kingpin. One other thing I came to realize, people on the streets love to gather to see a fight or conflict. Many of them that attend the battle are the ones that (will) set you up, (will) introduce fabricated lies and deception, or (will) back-stab you to see the confrontation. I thank God for His “AMAZING GRACE!!! Today have a changed attitude. I use the negative atmosphere of street talk for my motivation to get closer to God – I get joy studying the Word of God more in-depth and broader to increase my spiritual range. I have always been doubted by family members, relatives, and those I thought were close friends. In this morning’s passage, David’s eldest brother, Eliab, threw some cruel words at him in front of the other Israelite soldiers. How embarrassing it must have been to endure his brother discrediting him. David wisely neutralized the situation. I would have loved to see what Eliab’s expression looked like when they saw David slaying Goliath!!!

Beloved, there are many of you like David and myself that have felt the pain of mockery, rejection, doubt, and discredit from the people we thought would encourage and motivate us. If you’re in a parallel situation like David, don’t retaliate. Getting revenge isn’t the solution. Be wise and diffuse the situation. Use their mockery, rejection, doubt, and discredit as fuel to succeed even more!!! Go out there and slew your Goliath (alcoholism, drugs, being abusive, cheating, stealing, lying, manipulating, etc.!!! Now you’ve given the streets something to say. Amen? Aaamen.
    ✝️❤️😊

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, this morning, I come to You asking You to bless us with tolerance and humility when people doubt us and our abilities. Please help us stay peaceful in the face of mockery and give us the wisdom to diffuse the situation consciously. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen. ✝️❤️

I Love you all!!! Have a Blessed Monday and safe week Everyone. ✝️❤️😊

  • “Live Happy – Age Doesn’t Matter”

This Week Probing For Spiritual Answers Question Live Happy Age Doesn't Matter

    Praise The Lord Beloved!!! ✝️❤️😊

    This Morning’s Question is:
Bishop Houston, I want to revive my life. I want to be happier. What do
    you suggest?

Thank you for your question, it’s a great question. 😊

    Answer:
Beloved if you’re bored or just plain old exhausted of living the same old way, Jesus has the answer. Jesus didn’t liberate you so that you could be miserable, unhappy, sick, and tired of being sick and tired. He came so you could have “life, and – have it more abundantly” (*1).

I’m a late bloomer when it comes to enjoying a qualified quality life. But it wasn’t until I entirely turn my focus toward God that my abundance of joy came into fruition. Then the 2nd love of my life was introduced to me my First Lady, my wife, Donece. I’ve been celebrating the joy and the blessings of God for many years now. It doesn’t matter if you’re 19 or 90 you can start experiencing an abundant happier life also.

Here’s several spiritual help tips for you:

    1. Once you focus on God, stay focused so that you can continue to develop spiritually. You see, as a Christian, you shouldn’t just retain the faith you’ve established in the past. You must keep increasing in your relationship with God. It’s not spiritually healthy for you to get so engaged with the monotonous everyday activities of living that you get self-satisfied. Being complacent introduces boredom. You should instead, plunge deeper into your Bible. More profound biblical research grows the spirit. Join a Bible study group or start your own with people that view the same spiritual principles as you. I have a tremendous Spiritual Facebook Group “CHOF Ministry’s Spiritual Assembly Group; this is “Where Your Voice Counts.” We’re not a mega member group, but we do have over 4,000 members. You can share or listen. Mark 16:15 (AMP) says: And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Romans 10:17 (AMP) says: So, faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ. We’d love to have you join us!!! ✝️❤️😊

    2. You must pay attention to the Holy Spirit. Beloved, the Lord will communicate with you through your biblical studies. He’ll also talk to your spirit directly as you pray and listen. You must devote time to pray every day—not just talking, but also pay attention to what God has to say to you too. Obey whatever the Lord leads you to do. Believe me, if you’ll listen, the Holy Spirit will oversee you all through your day (*2).

    3. Something else that’s vital, you must extend yourself. As you discover and understand more about the Lord and His Word, you need to contribute to God’s goodness with others. As you grow you’ll find yourself looking for ways you can be a blessing to others. I do a lot of spiritual volunteer work, but you can delegate your time at a hospital, nursing home, food bank, animal shelter, or even children’s outreach. Most people who volunteer feel more attached and happier. If you pray every day, God will start to lead you to do things that will bless others.

    4. It would help if you learned how to speak life. In other words, you must pay attention to what you’re saying and how you’re addressing a situation. You can start by expressing terms of faith about your life, body, family, marriage, job, and finances. Replace speaking pessimistic and destructive words that tear yourself and others down, talk about the Word over everybody, and everything.

When a complicated or challenging situation occurs, don’t go back and forth with the grim particulars. Pray about it, find scriptures to stand on for it and declare Philippians 4:19: “My God shall supply all my need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” ✝️❤️😊

    5. It would help if you implemented forgiveness in your life. You see, as a believer, love is your grandest commandment. If you’re not walking in love, you’re in a dangerous place. If you’ve done anything unloving toward someone, do whatever the Lord shows you to do to make it right!!! Also forgive them for whatever they’ve done toward you or your situation!!! It doesn’t matter what they did!!! If you forgive them, you’ll be free of it. Beloved, let me tell you right here right now – “UNFORGIVENESS WILL KEEP YOU IN BONDAGE.”

Beloved, I know this was pretty lengthy, but God wants you to enjoy your life in Christ, and He’s allowed me to provide you with some helpful ways for you to begin doing just that—starting with the things I’ve outlined above. As soon as you put them into practice, your joy begins…no matter what your age. Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

  • “Where Would I Go?”

2 3 2020 John 6 67 68You know Beloved, I’ll be the first to tell you managing a Christian life isn’t always easy. Maintaining God’s directives, learning His Will, and loving your adversaries can be very complicated. Even some of Jesus’ supporters found His teaching to be too challenging and decided to abandon Him. That’s because His words were difficult to accept.

I too feel that occasionally it’s very difficult to obey God’s commandments and stay faithful to Him. It’s especially depressing when you face the reality of His warning that the world will despise you for no reason and that Christians will unavoidably have troubles in this world. It’s in those moments, I’ve felt like wanting to give up and step away. But then I remember what Peter realized a long time ago, that there’s no better place to be than beside Jesus. I have to keep it 100 with myself – where could I go when only He has the words of eternal life. We all realistically know the realm of humanity will end, but His Word is perpetual with an eternally foundation that will lead us to His Heavenly Kingdom. Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, You’re the breath I breathe and my passion to live. I want to stand with You forever regardless of how others feel about me. Please give us all the intensity and wisdom to comply with Your precious Word. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Amen.
    ✝️❤️

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will enter our earthly room and blow out our candle. So, reach out and touch the ones that need your agape, dissolve the divisions among you, continue to encourage one another, be united in the same mind, the same reasoning and continue to build one another up.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a magnificent Monday and a great week. ✝️❤️😊
  • “Re-imaging Your Mind”

    12 11 2019 Col. 1 9 10 Godly Imaging
Praise the Lord!!! Happy Wednesday. 😀

Beloved, are you familiar with the term “what you put in is what you get out or input and output?” Our mind is similar to a computer what you feed into a computer is what you’ll get out. What you program into your mind will be the image of your conduct. That’s why you must expose your mind to things that are correct, admirable, decent, genuine, wonderful, of good reputation, exceptional, and praiseworthy (*1). In other words, you must spiritually re-image your mind to get Godly performance. I heard a preacher say: “You should be so drenched with God’s Word that your blood is ‘bibline.’ If you cut yourself, you should bleed Bible verses!!!” His overemphasis shows his zeal for God’s truth. This is the passion every believer should disclose.

Paul prayed that we would “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; [and be] strengthened with all power . . . for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father” (*2).

Those are fantastic Christian attributes, but you must know how they’re achieved in order to receive them to be used. Verse 9 gives us the solution: “…ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.” Now, the Greek word translated “filled” speaks of influence or control. It’s the same word Paul uses in Ephesians 5:18: “Be filled [controlled by] the Holy Spirit.” Once you’re filled with the Spirit, He regulates your decisions. Similarly, when you’re filled with the knowledge of God’s will, your preferences mirror godly wisdom and understanding. The phrase “spiritual wisdom and understanding” implies more than simply knowing God’s Word. It speaks of utilizing it to your life under the Spirit’s power and direction.
Beloved, as you prayerfully saturate your mind with God’s Word, it begins more and more to control your thinking and behavior. This engages the Spirit to apply the Word, rejuvenate your mind, and safeguard you from worldly compliance, thoughts and behaviors (*3). Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

CHOF Ministry’s Mid-Week Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, please allow the Holy Spirit to regulate every aspect of our life today as we carefully utilize the proper biblical principles to every situation we face. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Amen.

Beloved life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone you love and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a “Remarkable” Wednesday. 😀

  • “Inhabiting an Exuberant Life”

    12 8 2019 week 1 Bishop Houston's Sunday Morning Church Psalm 19 8.png
Beloved, to realize and recognize your life is on the correct path is a cause for immeasurable jubilation.

Now, allow me to ask you a question: What creates your jubilation? Believe it or not, your answer uncovers much about your responsibilities, focus, and path your life is moving toward spiritually. In Psalm. 1:1-3 the psalmist wrote, “How blessed [happy] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law, he meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.” That psalmist also knew that genuine jubilation and contentment come from recognizing, and understanding God, and standing on His Word. That was David’s confidence when he wrote Psalm 19:8): “The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart.” Now the “precepts” in that verse speaks of divine values and procedures for integrity and behavior.

Beloved, God created you and knows how you must live to give glory to Him. And He revealed in His Word every precept you must know to do so. Every divine precept is “RIGHT.” It shows you the path that is right and true. What amazing confidence that is!!! There may be many around you that’s depressed, disappointed, or unhappy and hopeless because of the absence of direction and purpose in their life. Psalm 119:105 delivers hope and direction, it says: “God’s Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.” The Word of God directs you through and beyond the complicated and challenging puzzles of life and gives your life eternal significance.

Beloved, don’t live merely for your own pleasures. Your life has a high and holy purpose, and it can fill each day with joy as you see that purpose develop.

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, help us know of Your eternal aim today and every day. Direct us to the person or people who need Christ and are feeling a lack of purpose in his or her life. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.

Beloved life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind may enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone you love and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Have a Fantastic Sunday Everyone!!! ✝️❤️😊
