  • “Labor with God”

    Weekend Words Labor with God
    Happy Friday Everyone. 😀

One of my favorite prayers to recite before a meal is: “Lord, thank You for the food we’re about to receive for the nourishment of my body.” I know though I toil it’s God that actually provides the sustenance. You know, back in the day Israel was an agrarian civilization, which means the vast majority of people were farmers and everyone counted on having a good harvest from year to year. They had a very joint philosophy and their calendar revolved around festivals in honor of the wonders God had done. When they ate and drank together their enjoyment was mostly from their labor because it was the food they planted, harvested, processed and prepared. They were intimately involved in the food process from start to finish, but it relied on the hand of God to offer favorable conditions. To us in today’s society, our work can seem much less fulfilling because we work in a culture that’s basically automated or A.I.. We often hardly understand the processing methods of the food we buy because it’s wrapped in plastic, canned, jarred, bottled, etc. and grown thousands of miles away from our homes. And yet, if we take a step back, we can see, like the writer of this passage, that we can find enjoyment in our labor when we remember what James 1:17 says: “every perfect gift is from above…” Labor with God in our life is a great thing.

Beloved, as you head into this weekend – eat, drink and enjoy the fruits of your labor with a friend or a brother, or sister in Christ and give thanks to God for his bountiful blessing!!!

Have a blessed Friday and ‘JOYFUL” Weekend!!! 😀
  • “His Definitive Virtuous Love”

Weekend Words His Definitive Virtuous Love
Praise The Lord Beloved, Happy Friday to Everyone!!!

Beloved, when I think of the book of Job I think about the breathtaking power of God. When you look at Job, you see a man who experienced more suffering than most people experience in their lifetime. What I see is our tormentor “persecutor” Satan, who imposed all types of pain and wretchedness on one human being, having to ask permission before ever lifting a finger against him.

I’ve heard many people question how a good God could allow bad things to happen to good people. But I think the Lord is trying to teach us the reality of his definitive power. I say this because it’s a part of my personal testimony. Since my spiritual transformation, the persecutions didn’t diminish. NO!!!  My persecutors have increased, and my old adversaries have added new columns to their list. But I’ve learned that God’s ways are above ours. He’s so powerful that even the one who’s trying to prevent or ruin His purposes must ask for His permission before he can do any damage. Beloved, Satan isn’t God’s equal, he’s a created being. He doesn’t have free rein to cause evil, destruction, disorder or pandemonium unchecked.

Now, some ask how can a good God allow bad things to happen? And I say how can someone like me, who has done nothing special to deserve good, be the recipient of such incredible love that God would send His own son to die for me on the cross?

So, this weekend Beloved, always keep in mind that your oppressor or persecutor, is created, and has to get permission to create the drama, sickness, division or confusion that we encounter. We serve a generous, loving and good God who permits thing to occur that will:
#1 shows us His divine path for our life and
#2 demonstrate His definitive virtuous love for us.

    Have a Blessed Weekend Everyone!!!

  • “Genuine and Accurate”

    Weekend Words Genuine and Accurate
Praise the Lord Beloved. It’s Friday and the weekend is upon us once again. For those of us that know the Fifer Family in Kerrville, Texas let us keep them in our prayers as they mourn the transition of a true gentle giant Maceo Fifer. (R.I.H. Bunny).

You know Beloved, there are times in all our lives when we struggle with knowing if God is truly with us or not. And it’s during the course of each day that we experience, we have moments in which things just keep us from trusting that God’s in control and that He’s piloting our lives. Isaiah had it right, in that he knew what he had to do, and we can learn from his example also. Beloved, God has given each of us some pretty amazing moments, and when we struggle it helps to remind ourselves of those things. In all things God’s genuine and accurate, and we can embrace Him, just as Isaiah did. There were many times when I felt as if I was on my own, on an island alone, but God was always there willing to take the wheel if I let him do so.

Beloved, this weekend if you start to feel lonely, left out, or on an island by yourself, remember God is there with you also and He’s prepared to help you get back on course if you’ll recognize Him and allow Him to direct you.

I love you all, and have a blessed weekend.
  • “Failure Doesn’t Want To Represent You”

Failure Doesn’t Want to Represent YouPraise the Lord Beloved!!! Happy Friday to you all. 😀 We’re on the doorsteps of another weekend – Thank You Lord.

You know, many people often see a failure as the end of everything. They look at their failure as the scariest thing that has ever happened in their life. I personally can relate to this apprehensive fear, and it doesn’t help the roller-coaster ride when you don’t have a very supportive village either.

Beloved, if you’re going through this unwanted experience I want to help you get rid of that uninvited emotion. I have a simple view about a failure. I’ve found the solution or (clause) that actually has never been lost or hidden. It just hasn’t been properly introduced to many, so recognizing it is impossible. I’ll give it to you in just a bit.

First,, lets look at failure. Failure is a teacher. Failure hands out only two test
1.The “RESPONSE Test and 2. The REACTION Test!!!” Failure test us on how we’ll react or respond when a letdown occurs from something or someone we place our hope in or trusted, or Failure will test our response or reaction when a missed opportunity that we took a chance on or misunderstood the guiding principle. There are times in our life we need to sit in Failure’s classroom. Beloved, Failure doesn’t want to represent who you are. NO!!! – It’s the people that don’t believe in you, don’t like you, hates you, those that are jealous of you are the the ones who desire you to carry the grade of “F-ailure” all your life. We’re only failures when we allow their attitude or actions to invest, and infest, our mind and emotions leaving us no room to approach another quest. In other words they suffocate your spiritual breath causing you to give up and live under the roof of defeat!!! But here comes the rescue cavalry I promised you earlier!!!

Beloved, Failure comes with a clause. And as I said earlier it has not been properly introduce so many don’t know about it to recognize it. To pass Failure’s test you may use: “Options and Alternatives.” That’s it!!! Beloved, Failure is one of life’s few classes that give’s you options and alternatives. Failure isn’t a representation of your ignorance or inability. What failure actually represents is an effort was made. Hey, the best way to know our weaknesses and missing components is to step out on faith. To build or reconstruct your faith you must take a chance or make an effort. There’ an old saying (I’m sure most of you have heard it) “If you don’t first succeed-TRY TRY AGAIN!!!” 😀

The only thing that beats failure is another try.

Failure is a GREAT teacher. Failures wants you to succeed. And believe it or not we’ve all set in the classroom of Failure.

So, as you go into this weekend and you have to sit in Failure’s classroom

remember these two things 1. Failure is not your representative. 2. “Options and Alternatives.

I love you all!!! And have a blessed Weekend Everyone. 😀
  • “God Will Repair It”

weekend words god will repair ir

Beloved over 2,000 years ago, our heavenly Father looked at a hurting, messed-up planet. He sent His one and only Son from heaven to earth so we would not perish but have eternal life. And in one proverbial push of a button, by sending His Son Jesus, God Almighty said to our broken world:

    “I’LL REPAIR IT. “

Beloved, could you use a repair button in your life? A little reminder that God can resolve all your problems both big and small? To know He still loves you, no matter what? I know I sure could.

Whether I’ve stop speaking to one or all my kids or they stop speaking to me or if I have a disagreement with First Lady Donece, God can repair it. I’ve gotten a traffic camera picture in the mail that pictured me speeding God resolved it. If there’s too much month at the end of the money, or if the addiction continues – Beloved I’m here to tell you it’s never too late for God’s infinite grace to step in and right the wrongs in my life and yours. When we turn from our foolish or even downright sinful ways, God’s kindness leads to our repentance.

This weekend Beloved, I want you to know, and remember nothing can separate you from the love of God!!! 😀 No matter what’s happening around us, God’s love for us is constant.

NOW HOW’S THAT FOR A DEFINITIVE REPAIR RESOLUTION?

Have a Blessed Weekend Everyone. 😀

  • “Wait”

    Wait
Happy Friday Everyone!!! Once again, we have been blessed to stand at the entrance of another weekend.

Hey? Have you noticed most of our time is spent in waiting? Like when standing in line or while waiting on hold on the phone, meanwhile time passes slowly by. I don’t know how many of you have given this a thought, but waiting is a big part of life. And you know, it becomes overwhelming when we’re in distress. I still remember vividly the anticipation I felt when we were waiting to see if we were going to be approved to get our home. After experiencing a torrential down pour of emotions and thoughts overlapping each other with anxiety, excitement and joy. Unashamedly, I admit, I was more restless than my wife. But God just consistently crushed my doubts over and over again. Proving His timing, plans and ways are the best.

Beloved, He really is with us throughout all our ordeals. Be it guiding the hands of the physician or the pilot of a plane we board. It’s common for us to hear “peace be with you”, but don’t you think it’s time to practice “wait in peace and have patience”? God knows our every thought and need. We don’t need to ask Him more than once or shout for Him to hear us.

So, as we enter this weekend instead of being impatient or taking short cuts, wait peacefully grounded in faith for your prayers to be answered.

    Have a blessed Weekend Everyone.

  • “THANKFUL”

    Thankful

Praise the Lord Everyone. I hope everyone is enjoying this Thanksgiving Holiday.

You know Beloved, Thanksgiving Day is a day that is designated for everyone to give thanks. Now that this special day has come and gone, let us remember being thankful is an everyday occurrence as long as we have breath in our body. Let us all remember that we’re all called to a particular service by God. There’s nothing here on earth God hasn’t identified with. Though we all walk, work and entertain, we all do it according to the capacity that God has provided each of us. This is a daily occurrence, so we must be thankful daily. To every man, woman, boy and girl, God has spelled out something for each of us to be thankful for “daily”. Though twins are born the same day they’re not born at the same time, so each come in with a desired plan God has for them and them only. Their thanksgiving may be directed differently from each other.

So, this weekend Beloved, let each of us be thankful for who we are where we are, who we provide our duty of service to, and let us enjoy being thankful to the Master Planner who has committed His unadulterated unrestricted love toward those of us who are filtered into a marginalized, minimized, optimized, materialized, or personalized, way of life – To God Be the Glory!!!

    Have a blessed weekend Everyone.

  • “Be a Faithful Servant”

    Be a Faithful Servant

Praise the Lord Beloved. Happy Friday, and another weekend is here. it is cold and as I look outside there is snow on the ground.

In 2 Chronicles 16:9 the Word tells us that God shows Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are “perfect” toward Him. Now, that word perfect doesn’t mean that we must do everything just right and live without making a mistake. Thank God, we don’t have to do that. It means “devoted”—a heart consecrated, dedicated, loyal and faithful to God. So, the mistakes we make won’t stop God from working in our lives. Only our lack of faithfulness can do that.

Now, there may be someone out there asking: Bishop Houston who is faithful? “WELL I’M GLAD YOU ASKED!!!” 😀 The faithful are the ones who spends his/her time doing what God has called him/her to do. Or as Jesus put it, the one who takes up his cross and follows Him. The one who denies his/her fleshly desires and spends his/her life on the things God desires him/her to do.

Beloved, this weekend, decide that you’re going to be the faithful and wise servant. Then, find out what is stealing your time from the Lord. Once you find out, remove it and start serving His interests instead of your own.

For those of you (like me) that are in cold places please stay warm.

Have a blessed Weekend Everyone. 😀
  • “God’s Spiritual Health Center Is Open”

    God's Spiritual Health Is Open.png

Praise the Lord Beloved!!! Happy Friday to you all.

Beloved, God has compassion. He sees the poor in spirit, sick, ailing and calls them to His Spiritual health, healing, trauma and deliverance center. Like a 24-hour medical hospital, you can reach Him anytime. He’s aware of your infirmity and knows how you’re feeling.

Beloved, as you approach this weekend, if you’re feeling any kind of spiritual infirmity, I want you to know that God’s Spiritual Health Center is open, and the Holy Spirit is ready to roll you into the recovery room where you can fully realize that your disturbance or set back is over. I’m overjoyed to tell you also that God has never released anybody that He wasn’t going to use mightily.

This weekend may God reveal healing and purpose as we all continue to seek Him.

Have a blessed Weekend Everybody!!! 😀

  • “You’re a Covenant Child”

    You’re a Covenant Child.png

Praise the Lord Everyone!!! Happy Friday to you. 😀

Beloved, are you a covenant child? If your answer is yes, I want you to know that God has made an arraignment for you to receive His wonderful promises. That’s what you and I have when we stand on the solid foundation with Almighty God. If you could truly grasp the significance of that, you’d never be the same again.

You have a relationship of favor that gives you free admission to someone else’s power. You see, when you become God’s family member you can walk right on in (through prayer) without being stopped and let God know where you’re weak. Once you leave your prayer position it’s time to get excited, because you know with all that you are, that everything’s going to be handled, you have no doubt that whatever or whoever is making you weak “GOD GOT THIS!!! You’ll have no doubt that any weapon formed against you won’t prosper. That’s because you’re a family member of the Highest God and He has ALL POWER.

Beloved, God has entered a blood covenant with you. If you’ll give everything you have to God, HE WILL exchange everything He has with you.

He’ll take your sin to give you His righteousness. He’ll take your sickness to give you His health. He’ll take your poverty in order to meet all your needs according to His riches in glory. God provides.

So, this weekend Beloved, remember, The Great Jehovah, God of heaven and earth, is your Father God. If you’re under the blood of Jesus, you’ve been made a covenant child of the most powerful being in the universe.

“The morals of a good man and woman will run to enter the building of Jehovah Jireh.” – Bishop, W. F. Houston, Jr.

Have a Blessed Weekend Everyone. 😀
