  • “Time Is Expiring for Hard-Headed People”

11 10 2019 week 1 Bishop Houston's Sunday Morning Church Time Is Expiring for Hard-Headed People

The LORD kept dispatching the prophets with admonitions because He had compassion for His people. Judgment would come, but their receptiveness to the word of God would have made an enormous difference in their transition to captivity. But because they were so hard-hearted—had no feelings, insulting, hating and making fun of prophets, the defeat by Babylon was very brutal. Young and old were murdered, and everything of value was taken and they burned the Temple.

Beloved, the harder we make our hearts – the more we refuse to listen, the more we reject or ignore those sent to deliver a moral word, the more devastating the circumstances must be to wake us up and turn us around. They had faced embarrassing defeats during the reign of the last four kings, but none of those defeats caused them to humble themselves before God and turn to Him. There was no cure. God looked for another way, but there was none. You know, often people will ask how God could have allowed a disaster to happen. Well, in many cases, it’s because there was no other solution. Many times, there’s no less alternative that will turn people from the hardness of their hearts or being “hard-headed.”

Beloved, Israel had ignored the law of Sabbath rest for many centuries. Every seventh year they were not supposed to plant, but just let what came up on its own be sufficient for them. If they had ignored this law for 490 years, then the land was due for 70 years of Sabbath rests. That’s exactly what happened. The land had its rest, and the people received their embarrassment. They stopped being hard-headed and changed their hearts. Those who returned were unwilling to accept idol worship and possess a fear of disobeying God. Their spiritual observance moves into the period of restoration. The people were allowed to return and build the temple again. God would prepare them for a great redemption – the coming of the Messiah.

Beloved, continuous rebellion and mockery against the allowed personnel of God will get you a visit from an angry God along with all your infractions well documented, including the major penalty for each one.

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, help us turn to You before it’s too late. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.

Beloved life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind may enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone you love and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

    Have a fantastic Sunday. 😀

  • “Stop Looking at the Time”

    9 8 2019 week 1 Bishop Houston's Sunday Morning Church Post Proverbs 11 25
There’s a post office near me that I don’t like going into because of one: the employees are very rude and two: it is very small. On this particular day, it had gotten late so I had to go to this post office to mail a special card so that it would arrive on a distinct day. I knew soon as I arrived it was going to be a long wait and I would have to deal with the attitude of the postal workers, but I headed into the post office in a big hurry. I had many errands to run before their closing times. As I entered, I was frustrated but not surprised to find a long line backed up to the door. “Hurry up and wait,” I mumbled, looking at my cell phone clock. My hand was still on the door when an elderly lady approached me, she said, “Sir, I can’t get this copier to work,” pointing to the machine behind us. “It took my money and I don’t know what to do.”

Immediately I knew what God wanted me to do. I stepped out of line and was able to fix the problem in about 10 minutes. The woman thanked me and then left. As I turned to get back in line, there was no line!!! It was gone!!! 😀 I walked straight to the service counter and to my amazement the clerk was “VERY” pleasant also. 😀

Beloved, my experience that day reminds me of Jesus’ words: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” (*1). My wait appeared to be shorter because God interrupted my urgency. By turning my eyes to others’ needs and helping, by giving my time, God gave me a gift. This is a lesson for me to remember the next time I look at my watch. 😀

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, all of the time I have left here on earth is in Your hands, and I thank You for Your gift. Please, continue to demonstrate to me how to use it so that I will continue to bring glory and honor to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! – Have an Extraordinary Sunday.

  • “One Small Step At a Time”

Tuesday June 4 2019 Let Us Pray Psalm 37 23
Praise the Lord Beloved. Happy Tuesday. 😀

You know, God’s principle directive is to lead you each and every day. He’s given His Spirit to guide you 360 days. And believe it or not, most believers don’t know that. They expect God to reveal His complete will for their lives in one big revelation.

Beloved, please don’t make that mistake. Don’t just sit around waiting for God to show you whether or not He wants you to go to a certain place, city or a faraway land for the rest of your life. Now, there’s an important step you must not miss. You must let Him start you out by leading you in small things first. You must allow Him to tell you what you need to do about this situation or that one. He’ll show you what you need to change. And, as He does, you’ll change one thing at a time.

And for many of you realistically, you probably already know one thing God wants you to do. You might not know why He wants you to do it. You may not know where it’s leading, but you’ve heard His voice in your mind and emotions. Beloved, if you want to keep on hearing Him, you’ll have to set aside your own ambitions and personal requirements. Spend time in prayer and in the Word. Tune your ear to the harmonious voice of His Spirit. Learn to believe, trust and have all confidence Him. Remember that He’s smarter than you are and be willing to do what He says whether you can understand it with your mind or not. Obey even His smallest instructions. If you do that, He’ll eventually change your whole life – one small step at a time. 😀
    Amen? Aaamen. 😀

– Have a blessed Tuesday Everyone. 😀

  • “Stop Freezing People In Time”

STOP FREEZING PEOPLE IN TIME GalatiansYou know Beloved, I’ve been saved for many years now and many people still brutally attack me for past errors, immoral conduct, or wrong pathways I’ve taken. I’m sure there are many of you (like myself) that are being mistreated (abused, neglected, victimized) for what occurred years and or even DECADES ago.

You (like myself) have repented, received salvation, and are living a morally good life and doing well, but there’s still some people that won’t let go of your yester-year(s). Instead of reconciliation, all they tend to remember is mistakes people make, never trying to grant them the opportunity to change. And you know what’s more thought-provoking is many of the people that’s casting insults have been in some sort of immoral actions or still in dishonest trades and law-breaking activity. And it’s sad but true, many of the attackers go to church Every Sunday morning or at their spiritual edifice every time the doors are opened, and many are in our family!!! Beloved, I stopped by this morning to give you some REAL TALK!!!

WE NEED TO STOP FREEZING PEOPLE IN TIME.
You know, there are so many instances in Peter’s life when God could have “frozen” him in time. But He never did. Peter, the impulsive disciple never really thought things out. In Matthew 16:21-23 he “corrected” Jesus, earning him a sharp rebuke from the Lord. In John 18:15-27, He famously denied Christ but in John 21: 15-19 he was restored. And in Galatians 2:11-12 he once contributed to racial divisions within the church. The issue arose when Peter (known also as Cephas) had separated himself from the Gentiles. He had just started to freely associate with them. But some Jews arrived who insisted that circumcision was required for believers in Christ, so Peter began avoiding the uncircumcised Gentiles. This marked a dangerous return to the law of Moses. In verse 13 Paul called Peter’s behavior “hypocrisy”. But because of Paul’s bold confrontation, the issue was resolved, and Peter went on to serve God in the beautiful spirit of unity He intends for us.

Beloved, no one needs to remain frozen in their worst moments. In God’s grace we can embrace each other, learn from each other, confront each other when it’s necessary, and grow together in His love.

    Let us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, at this time I come asking You to draw us close to You today, so that we may also be closer to each other. Protect Your church’s unity. Give us understanding where there’s distrust. Heal us where we’re divided.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name I Pray,
    Amen and Amen.
  • “It’s Time To Get Caught Up”

It's Time to Get Caught Up
Beloved, the time has come for you to break out from the enemy’s camp and pursue the words of the Lord. This is your season to progress and repossess all that you’ve let slip through your absorbent spirit. This is the season to get caught up. The Lord wants you to walk with Him side by side step for step. Your time card of being short changed has been voided. Now is the time to take off those rose-colored shades and face the truth. You’ve been marginally doing things, while all along you’ve been duping yourself into believing that you were fully walking on the path of spiritual truth.

Beloved, the Spirit of the Lord is saying to you, the time has come for you to get caught up on what the enemy has stolen from you – right before your very eyes. It’s time for you to exchange your immoral spirit for the Lord’s spirit. The Lord has been preparing a supper in front of your former tormentors (bullies, persecutors, oppressors). It’s time to participate in your feast of His blessings. Now, is the time to get caught up on conversations with Him and with the Holy Spirit. It’s time to once again sit at His feet and learn about Him.

Beloved, it’s time to get caught up and retrieve your stolen possessions. I’m speaking of the ones that the enemy has taken from you and your generations. The time has come for you to pursue and recollect what has been robbed from you and your family.

Beloved, it’s time to get caught up on praise and worship and spending time in the presence of the Lord. It’s time to reside in His atmosphere and relax in His arms. He wants you to experience once again how it feels to hear His heart beat.

Beloved, on this Friday and as you prepare to adventure into another weekend, listen for the voice of the Lord. His voice has increased, you can hear it through reading other prophetic words. Listen, read and move according to the Lord’s necessity for your life. The new day has dawned, and a new season is beginning for many within the churches and ministries. I believe this is a last wake up call for many to rise up and move spiritually closer to the heart of our Father. I also sense that the time is short and the need to move out into newer levels of Gods calling has never been more urgent.

Beloved, the Lord is becoming increasingly concerned that many who call Him Lord are still grounded to the ways of the world and embedded in the twisting of the Leviathan.

Ephesians 5:14 will not leave my spirit, it says:
“Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

Beloved, this could be a last wake-up call for many of you. I can’t stress this strongly enough. It’s time for us all to wake up!!! It’s time to shake off the enemy’s malady and remove the sleep out of our worldly covered sugar-coated eyes and smell the glory of the Lord, as He prepares to come in magnificent grandeur and recollect His loved ones and repossess what’s rightfully His.

May we not reject the call of the Holy Spirit, as He once again in His mercy, seeks to awaken His bride into movement towards their high calling in the Lord, prepared before the beginning of the earth.

May the Lord have mercy on those who remain asleep.

    Have a Blessed Weekend Everyone!!!
  • Take It One Step (One Day) at a Time”

    Morning BlogI John 4:4
Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.
As you can see, I started this morning’s blog with scripture. That’s because many of my blogs will be God centered, as it is this morning.
There was an e-mail that was sent to me from our CHOF Ministry Website prayer request box.
It was from a woman urgently requesting prayer. She opened by telling me she is a crack and meth addict and that she’d been through rehab three time and had relapsed once again. Now she had to pull herself back up out of the pit of her addictions and face her family with the truth, and she wasn’t sure she could go through with it.
She told me that, she keeps thinking she’s hopeless, and that she will never get better. She said, “Bishop Houston I can’t pray anymore by myself. I need help.” I will keep her name anonymous, her name is not my focus here but her soul is.
Beloved, let me tell you, of all the outwardly intractable problems the world faces, war, hunger, environmental calamities, and terrorism “addiction” is one of the greatest pestilences, it’s a kind of terrorism of the soul. It affects rich people and poor people the same way, advanced nations and developing ones, men and women, and people of all ages and races and religions. The toll addiction takes on the world’s economies is in the trillions. The personal suffering is incalculable.
Yet Beloved, as someone who has not gotten drunk or used an illegal drug in many, many years, I know there’s a solution, one that begins with the individual. By the grace of a Higher Power whom I choose to call God and the powerful words of Jesus Christ, any addict or alcoholic can take back his or her life from the grip of addiction.
There are millions that have succeeded, one step (one day) at a time, by being willing to put their lives “COMPLETELY” in the hands of a loving God, the only power greater than their addiction(s). I don’t know what happened to the woman who e-mailed us, but I do know that by asking for prayer and by turning her addiction over to God, she has taken the first step and given herself more hope than she knew.
Beloved, where God goes, hope really grows!!!
Beloved, God is your deliverer, you must take it one step (one day) at a time. Jehovah Rapha-God has the power to heal you. He’s the one force that’s greater than any difficulty you may have.
Take care and take it one step (one day) at a time.
You’ll be glad you did. 😀
