    Praise the Lord Beloved.!!!

Since starting CHOF ministry 12 years ago I’ve been asked many questions on many topics by many levels of people who seriously desire to find God’s answers to their rational, real-life everyday encounters. There have been many people that have come to me with questions they were afraid or uncomfortable to ask and there have been many that have also come to me because they just don’t have the proper people in their life to ask. After praying and laboring over this new project a vision was delivered to me recently. Matthew 7:7 (KJV) says: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” So, I must stay in obedient in 2020. It’ll be called “Probing For Spiritual Answers.”

Each week (Wednesday) I’ll post a question and answer segment on my social media sites. It’s my effort to reach out and help answer questions many of you may have wanted answers for or have been confused by certain traditional myths or have been provided answers by the “mean well” unknowledgeable. The answers I present to you will be Biblically principled.

Matthew 7: 8 (KJV) says: “For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

May the words that I present to you each week help you find tranquility, bring resolution, provide insight and embed wisdom.

    God bless you.

  • “Being Spiritually Invasive”

    10 9 2019 Eph. 6 17 Being Spiritually Invasive
    Praise the Lord Believers!!! 😀

Beloved, the entire panoply Paul lists in Ephesians 6 is self-protective, except one: “The Sword of The Spirit.” That’s your invasive weapon for defeating Satan.

Now, if you’ve noticed the Roman soldiers always carries two swords: the large broadsword and the small dagger. In verse 17 the Greek word for “sword” refers to the dagger, which was anywhere from six to eighteen inches long and was carried in a sheath or scabbard at the soldier’s side. The dagger was a common weapon. When you have time go back to Matt. 26:47 and you’ll see that the Roman soldiers who arrested Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane were each armed with one. In Matt. 26:51 Peter used one to cut off the ear of the high priest’s servant. In Acts 12:2 it was a dagger that was used to kill James, the brother of John. In Hebrews 11:37 it tells us that this same type of weapon was used against the heroes of the faith.

Now, the Sword of the Spirit” doesn’t always penetrate in a straight position as we would think the Holy Spirit does. Remember this is spiritual warfare. The implications are that since our enemy is spiritual, our weapons also must be spiritual (*1). Our sword is spiritual because it’s the Word given by the Holy Spirit. He inspired its writing and through it convicts and redeems sinners (2).

Beloved, it’s the Word that abides in you and it reconditions and transforms you. It supplies everything you need for a godly, victorious life. It builds you up and produces holiness (*3). And it equips you for good works by teaching, reproving, correcting, and training you in righteousness (*4).

The Bible is an influential, dynamic and effective weapon. The question that stands at hand Beloved is: Do you know how to use it? Do you assiduously study it and apply its ethics to your life? Do you have a mental warehouse of biblical truth to draw from in the heat of battle?

Beloved, the Roman dagger was a precision weapon designed for a precise spot to produce a precise result. Similarly, the sword of the Spirit is most effective when you apply precise biblical ethics to precise situations in your life. Do you do that Beloved? Amen? Aaamen. 😀

    CHOF Ministry’s Mid-Week Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, please continue to increase my desire to know Your Word. Help me to continue to apply the wisdom You’ve blessed me with to make precise decisions for the situations I’ll face today.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE. – I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a “Happy” Wednesday. 😀

  • The Word of God – Living and Active”

Bishop Houston Mid Week The Word of God Living and Active
    Hebrews 4:12 (AMP)
*12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Beloved, you’ll never regret the time you spend reading God’s Word. It’s full of optimism that encourages our hurting soul. Just as when the disciples began to feel sad because Jesus told them that He would be away from them in a little while. He was speaking about going back to the Father after His mission. He spoke encouraging words to them to lift their discouraged faces.

Beloved, God doesn’t want to see us dispirited. There are many times we’ll get so preoccupied by the things of this world and when we fail to achieve something, we somehow get upset. Our hearts (mind and emotions) become disturbed. Remember whatever it may be that weighs you down, believe in God. Remember, He has solutions in store for you. Don’t let anything or anybody trouble your hearts, keep the faith in Christ and He’ll take care of your problems.

    “To God Be The Glory
  • Erase & Start Over

    CHOF Ministry’s Scripture for Today

    (Romans 10:17, NKJV)
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

    A Word from Bishop Houston

Beloved, are you permitting undesirable thoughts to suffocate your potential? Why don’t you start erasing those thoughts? The specialists or authorities may have told you that things are impossible or how it’s not going to work out, but those people don’t know what the God you serve has in store. He has the closing statement, the final approval, the final signature. He wouldn’t have placed that dream in your heart or given you that promise if He didn’t have a way to bring it to pass. It’s time to erase what the naysayers have told you. It’s time to erase the discouraging words. Erase the adverse reports.

Beloved, you’ve got to erase and start over. You’ve got to keep erasing those undesirable opinions and keep replacing them with the Word of God until you get back to your mental status God blessed you with, and stay focused until your faith is running like a well-oiled machine or in other words until your faith is stronger than your doubts.

Beloved, who told you that you can’t be successful? Who told you you’re not tall enough, not smart enough, or that you’ve reached your limits? I, Bishop, W. F. Houston, Jr. assure you that it did not come from your Creator. So, don’t let others set the parameters for your life. Erase those wrong thoughts or opinions, believe God’s Word, and embrace the blessing and success He has in store for you!!!

    Have a Blessed Day Everyone!!!
