  • “The Worlds Real Abscess”

Bishop Houston's Monday Morning Blog Picture Pride

Praise the Lord Beloved, and Happy Monday to Everyone!!! 😀

Beloved, for the past several months I’ve noticed the spirit of pride is drenching our nation everywhere. Pride has saturated just about every realm in this world. Today’s society (world) is teaching everyone to focus only on themselves and forget others in order to be successful. But you know, where there’s pride, politicking is very involved and when politicking occurs division ensues, then the emotional adrenalin starts to run wild.

Pride is one of the most difficult attitudes to get rid of in life. The world’s ideal impression to focus only on ourselves and forget others in order to be efficacious is completely conflicting to what God has taught us in His word. Before finger pointing starts, we’re all guilty of it in one form or another!!! From hidden agendas to straight up in your face bullying, our society today has flat out insulted the Words of God.

Beloved, we’re supposed to love others as we love ourselves. We have to let go of our selfish ambition and pride and start regarding others as better than ourselves. God wants us to do things selflessly and not selfishly. That’s the best way to live out humility in our lives. We may seem deficient and inferior to others, but always remember that God’s judgment is the only one that matters, and He gives grace to the humble.

The Late Rodney King said it best:
“CAN WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?”

“Beloved Pride Is the Abscess That’s Hurting Our World Today.”

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me for my pride. I want to be drench with Your love so that I may love others and become selfless and humble. Help me to recognize the pride, selfishness and arrogance in others and grant me the strength to redirect my path from all iniquity. Lord, I put my trust in You.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name I Pray. Amen and Amen.

    Have a blessed Week Everyone.
  • “A Definitive Oxymoron Statement”

Weekend Words A Definitive Oxymoron Statement.png
    Praise the Lord everyone!!! 😀
    Happy Friday. 😀

Beloved, to many people today, think this is a definitive oxymoron statement: in order for Christians to find life, we’re instructed to lose it for His sake. Sounds confusing to you? Well if it does, it’s because in today’s society the philosophy promotes principles that injects a mentality attitude that’s totally opposite, different and contradicting to this command. Today’s culture teaches principles about how to be selfish instead of to sacrifice. People in today’s society are told it’s not about what they can give but what they’re entitled to receive. That life isn’t about submitting to God’s authority but rather enjoying their legal rights and benefits as a Christian. Beloved, if we all continue to think this way, soon there’ll be no more Christians willing to serve others. If we really want to find true life, we must start by denying ourselves and take up the cross. In Matthew 19:21 (NLT), Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” So Beloved, we have to let go of pride (arrogance – ignorance) and God may even require us to release all possessions to Him. We need to realize that our life doesn’t belong to us but to God and He bought us at a price. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT) says: *19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, *20 for God bought you with a high price. So, you must honor God with your body.

Beloved, if we live, we should live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for Him
As we go into this weekend let us keep Romans 14:8 (NLT) on our hearts:
If we live, it’s to honor the Lord. And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

I love you all!!! And have a blessed Weekend Everyone. 😀

  • ” WHOOP THERE IT IS!!!”

    Praise the Lord Beloved!!!
    Happy Friday to you all.

You know Beloved, I personally feel the problem with our world today is there’s just not enough love!!!

I believe (with all that I am) the only way that our problems and the problems of the world can be solved, is by applying love. There’s a Bible scripture Matthew 22 that tells us to first love God with everything that we are and then second to love our neighbor like we love ourself!!!

    “WHOOP THERE IT IS!!!”

Beloved, that’s our answer!!! 😀 You see, if we’ll completely love God with our mind and emotions, we’ll develop will power to love our neighbors.

You see true love the way God designed it, is just like the power outlets in our home, if we plug into the source we’ll get an electrical impulse  that will travel all over our body which will outwardly produce the fruit of the spirit that’s mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23.

Beloved, this weekend find you a true power outlet that’s serviced by the power of God’s love. You’ll find that it’s the resource we all need to help change the current energy into a conducive world that we’re all looking for.

Have a blessed Weekend Everyone!!! 😀

  • “Stop The Violence!”

    Stop the violence.png

    Praise the Lord Beloved.

First my condolences go out to the family of Alton Sterling, Louisiana, Philando Castile, Minnesota and the 5 police officers slain last night in Dallas, Texas.
Today my heart is broken because of all the irrational murdering of innocent men and women of color by those that have sworn an oath to serve and protect. I stand in peaceful solidarity with everyone that is worn-out mentally and spiritually by those we trust to serve and protect every human race. But violence plus violence only multiplies violence as we see now innocent police officers killed in Dallas, Texas.
Beloved, we now live in a society that guns are everywhere. There’s no longer domestic tranquility. The government and judicial system has failed the general population. By acquitting and protecting police officers who kill innocent people, it has outraged many in our society and brought a heightened fear to many others. I personally am against gun violence and I know there are many great police officers in our cities, but until there’s a deep purging and removal of the corrupt servants of the law, enacting legislation to control the proliferation of guns, I feel the change will not come until the American population change its character about violence. Until that happens there will be more sadness, more innocent blood shed and more unnecessary funerals. So as I see it, it doesn’t look like it is going to get any better soon.
May God help us all!!! – Bishop, Dr. W. F. Houston, Jr.
