  • “You Must Change Your Psychological Consciousness”

    March 15 2020 week 3 and 4 Bishop Houston's Sunday Morning Church Judges 16 1 through 21
Praise The Lord Everyone!!! Happy Sunday to you!!! ✝️❤️😊

Several years ago, I installed a deadbolt lock on the entry coming from the garage of a home we purchased. At that time, it was the securest lock we knew; we felt well-safeguarded!!! But since then times have changed, today many proprietors set up high-tech protection systems, complete with video cameras and motion sensors with night vision.

In biblical times, the city gate played a significant role in safeguarding and protecting the citizens against enemies. To keep an intimidating military out of a walled city, they merely shut and barred the entrance gate.

Beloved, God applies powerful actions. He intensifies His affections. When it comes to His people, God will affectionately refer to His “amazing actions” of love to bring us security. His loving interest for His people is pictured using this same image of a city gate in Psalm 107:15–16 (NLT): “For he broke down their prison gates of bronze; he cut apart their bars of iron.”

That’s what makes Samson’s achievement in our Sunday morning reading so amazing. In Verse 3 of our morning study, we see Samson unaided smashed the gates and pillars of the city of Gaza and walked away with them. The Pillars and beams weighed a total of 400–500 pounds, they were also firmly affixed and fortified. While the Philistines had planned to ambush and capture Samson in Gaza, they never stood a chance. All by himself, he destroyed the city’s primary security.

The Lord had blessed Samson with unbelievable physical strength, but he damaged himself by playing with sin and temptation. That’s maybe why he thought he could get away with sinful mischief. Samson teased Delilah and neglected to pay attention to her betrayals. We see this in verse 16. And in verse 20, we see his moral strength disappears. He disregarded God by telling his secret, disrespecting his Nazirite vow and God’s unique gift of power. Samson’s physical strength completely conflicted tragically with his moral and spiritual weakness.

Beloved, be very conscious of the enemy when it comes to securing the security for your spiritual property. ✝️❤️

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, this morning, I come to You humbly to once again rely on Your strength. The Coronavirus Pandemic has us all on heightened alert. We need Your protection. Help us to be conscious to and stay alert as we encounter each day and lean on Your strength and not our understanding. COVID-19 is a severe virus. We praise You for being our mighty influential God who has the power to overcome all impediments and, as today’s key verse says, “cuts through bars of iron.”
In Jesus’ Name, I Pray, Amen and Aaamen. ✝️❤️

To God Be The Glory. Have a Happy Sunday Everyone. ✝️❤️😊

  • “The Big Pay Back”

    Bishop Houston's Weekend Words Reestablished
Praise the Lord Beloved!!! Happy Friday to Everyone. 😀

Back in the day I was a huge James Brown fan. In 1984 the late James Brown released a song called “The Big Pay Back.” And in the song Mr. Brown sings about his way of revenge to make amends. Well since those days my life has taken a drastic change Mr. Brown’s way of the big pay back was not my choice to avenge my compensation. I needed an established strength, a 24/7 lifetime foolproof security structure. One that rebuilds, restores, reinstates, replenishes and regenerates. Beloved, God reestablishes, us. Not only does He restore us, but He has the capability to keep us when we’re rebuilt. Through all the family, work, or community drama, with the escalation and decrease of the economy, and even the severe temperatures in the weather, God revitalizes us.

Now staying established after being reestablished isn’t easy. That’s because of all the negativity that occurs around us after being restored. Beloved, staying established after God brings us back depends on us. If we’re apprehensive or terrified about how we’re going to make it, our faith isn’t in God. If our faith isn’t in God, there’s no assurance that God will keep us reinstated. I’ll be the first to tell you that “a negative mouth and attitude won’t promise God will keep us restored.” If we’re speaking negatively towards this person or that person, or that business, we’re sinking to the world’s level.

Beloved, as you go into this weekend remember, whatever negativity you see around you doesn’t have to be your destiny. God can and will keep you reestablished regardless of what’s around you.

Beloved, being reestablished by God is the big pay back. 😀

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, this weekend help us to stay connected to You. You’re our generator and without Your power staying reestablished is impossible. Help us to stay focused on You and not on all of the negativity that surrounds us.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen and Amen.

Have a Fantastic Friday and a Wonderful weekend Everyone!!! 😀

  • “Don’t Ignore Your Spiritual Security Warning System”

    Psalm 121:7, NIV
The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life.

    Breaking Bread with Bishop Houston
    Praise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀
Beloved, allow me to ask you a question. Have you ever had a feeling inside you that tell you that something just isn’t right or something you shouldn’t do? Well if you have then, as soon as you feel that uneasiness, you need to stop and evaluate what’s going on.

Because, that’s your spiritual security warning system sounding-off telling you there’s a problem that either needs to be considered more, or evacuated from.

You know, there are too many times, many people override that feeling, thinking they’ll figure it out later, but then they have to deal with things that God could have saved them from.  Beloved, the time to respond is the time when you sense your spiritual security warning system sounding-off. You might be in the middle of a conversation and your spiritual security warning system goes off. The proper thing to do is walk away. DON’T IGNORE IT!!!” Or, if you’re about to purchase something or you’re about to make some plans and you feel that sense of apprehension.  You know, that awkward feeling. Beloved, that’s your spiritual warning system cautioning you that something is just not right.

Beloved, that’s not a random warning. That’s God talking to you.  So, the proper thing to do is, get out of “YOUR “feelings and emotions and pull back and see what God is saying.

We all must learn to listen to our spiritual security warning system. If we’ll learn to listen, God can keep us from trouble. He can keep us from danger. So, don’t ignore it and make life more difficult!!! Instead, quickly obey. Follow His leading. Don’t override or ignore the warnings so you can partake of the blessing, favor and protection that God has prepared for you.

    To God Be the Glory!!!
