“A Tenacious Doer”
The phrase in James 1:25 that says: “and abides by it” stresses that we pay close attention to it. The Greek translation of the word “Abide” means “to stay beside,” “remain,” or “continue.” The idea is that a doer of the Word continually and habitually gazes into God’s perfect law. In other words, they’re persistent pupils. Beloved, doers of the Word are tenacious students. When you have that level of commitment to the Word, you’ll be an effectual doer “student – pupil”—one who has merged with God’s will and pursues to conform regardless of anything else. As you do, God will bless you. Now, that doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be successful in the eyes of the world, but your priorities and perceptions will be right, and the Lord will honor what you do.This morning’s verse is a call to prudently examine yourself in light of God’s morals. That’s not a popular thing in today’s society because many people have an aversion to serious spiritual thought and self-examination. I believe that’s why Christian television, music, and other forms of entertainment are so popular. Absconding realism through entertainment is far more interesting and pleasing to most people than looking into the mirror of God’s Word and having their spiritual defects and imperfections uncovered. But if you desire to be like Christ, you must see yourself for what you are and make any needed corrections. To do that, you must continually examine (study) your life in the light of Scripture.Beloved, just imagine what the church would be like if every Christian did that. Can you imagine the changes in your own life if you did it more consistently? Only the Holy Spirit can empower you to be a doer “student – pupil” of the Word. So, slow down and be very attentive when God leads you through prayer and confession as you continue to study and apply God’s Word.Let Us Pray:Dear Heavenly Father, whenever I study Scripture, please allow the Spirit to light up my mind and heart so that I can see how to use Your Words to transform me more and more into the image of Christ. In Jesus’ Name, I Pray, Amen and Aaamen. 😀Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.I LOVE YOU ALL!!! – Have an Astonishing Sunday. 😀 -
“Look Carefully”

Praise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀Let us all smile and say: THANK YOU GOD for the opportunity to be a part of another Friday. 😀
You know James 1:21-24 shows us the differences between the hearers “listeners” of the Word and doers “achievers” of the Word. Those that only listen don’t respond to Scripture or gain any advantage from its realities – even after they have studied it in depth. But the achievers receive it in humbleness and “CONFORM” to its commands. James 1:25 goes on to add by saying: they’re blessed in what they do. In other words, there’s blessings in the very act when we comply “obey”.
James calls Scripture “the perfect law, the law of liberty” (*1). It’s “law” because it’s God’s mandatory behavioral code.
Beloved, grace doesn’t eradicate God’s moral law, but it gives us the mental “spiritual” resources to conform, and forgiveness when we fail. That’s how Jesus fulfills the law in us (*2). The scripture is “the perfect law” because it’s extensive, necessary, all-inclusive, and without error. Through it God meets every need and fulfills every desire of the human heart. In addition to that, it’s “the law of liberty – freedom.” Now that may sound contradictory because we tend to think of law and freedom as opposites. But if you look carefully into the Word, the Holy Spirit enables you to apply its principles to your life, which means freeing you from the guilt and oppression of sin and empowering you to live to God’s glory. NOW THAT’S TRUE FREEDOM!!! 😀
Now when I say “look carefully” I’m speaking of deeply studying something with eagle eyes – paying close attention to something with precision. You see, to really get an understanding about anything indicates self-effacement and a desire to see clearly what Scripture reveals about your own spiritual condition. It’s an attitude as well as an action. 😀
Beloved, as you go into this weekend don’t just read scripture “STUDY” Scripture carefully and LET IT become your primary attitude in life.
Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, as I look carefully into your Word, expose the things in my life that need to be changed. Then allow me the grace to make those changes so I can live more fully to your glory. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen and Aaamen.CHOF Ministry’s Cross Reference Scriptures:

“Don’t Be Hurried into Anger”

James 1:19-20 “Let everyone be . . . slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God”. These are awesome Bible verses that help me stay saved. 😀Beloved, have you ever began reading your Bible, perceiving all is well between you and the Lord, only to have the Word unexpectedly cut deep into your soul to expose, describe, characterize and categorized a sin you’ve ignored or tried to hide? That usually happens because God wants to eliminate immorality in His children. The Holy Spirit uses the Word to infiltrate the concealed pauses “interruptions” in our heart (mind and emotions) to do His convicting and cleansing work. Now, it’s how you respond to that procedure that will be the indicator of the authenticity of your faith. The “anger” referred to in our morning scripture refers to an adverse response to that procedure. It’s a deep inside “down to the core” antipathy escorted by an intrepid refusal. Sometimes that antipathy can be indirect. Paul described those who “will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires” – (*1).These are the people who tensely go from church to church, ministry to ministry in search of someone who’ll tell them what they want to hear—or a congregation that wants a pastor who’ll make them feel good about themselves (an altered message) instead of preaching the Word (an unaltered – immature word) and setting a high standard of holiness. You know, every now and then antipathy toward the Word stops being indirect and turns to downright up in your face hostility. That’s what happened to Stephen when the crowd he confronted covered their ears, drove him out of the city, and stoned him to death. – (*2). Throughout history there have been many others that have felt the lethal misfortunes of those whose antipathy of God’s truth turned to detestation for His people. You see, to be a recipient of the Word consist of being swift to perceive what it says and unhurried to anger when it disagrees with your personal opinions or confronts your immorality. Beloved, today is your boldness covering an immoral principle? Are you defiant to what God is saying to you through the Word? Do you welcome its criticism and aware of its warnings, or do you secretly feel hostile about it? When a Christian brother or sister challenges an immoral principle in your life, do you accept or reject their advice? Amen? Aaamen. 😀Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.Beloved, I thank for your unconditional love. 😀I LOVE YOU ALL!!! “Does Your Voice Match Your Personality?”

Beloved, as Christians, we correctly place great importance on creating a solid personal account of the Lord’s work in our life. We also have conversations about the ways that we can show Jesus Christ to our friends, family, and coworkers through our actions. But personality is the part of every believer’s testimony that inspires both Christlike behavior and an honest life story.
In other words, what we do and say epitomizes the kind of person we are on the inside. Likewise, we can tell a lot about Philip’s Personality by noticing his actions and words recorded in Scripture. From among many believers, Philip was chosen as one who was wise and full of the Spirit. He wasn’t selected for a prestigious ministry position, NO!!! He was sent to serve food. Yet he went willingly to do this work and every other job the Lord gave Him, which shows his obedient spirit. (When you have time, you can read how obedient to the tasks that was asked of Phillip – Acts 6:5; Acts 8:5; Acts 8:26). Acts 8:6 gives us a great illustration how sincere and trustworthy Phillip was because it says when he spoke, people listened. Philip’s testimony shines in every way.
Beloved, how you speak tells a lot about who you are. Your voice will eventually match your personality.
Have a blessed week Everyone.
