Praise the Lord Beloved – Happy Monday to you All. 😀

I hope each of you had a wonderful Resurrection Day.

Yesterday evening after a long day of Resurrection Day services, First Lady Donece and I finally got home and settled in our den and we began to reflect on the day’s events which led us into a conversation on education. As we talked about our different educational environments and eras, we both came to the same conclusion that we never thought that working on our Master’s degree would bring us confusion instead of clarity. This morning as I meditated on my morning scripture the Holy Spirit showed me the conversation with the First Lady. To me, walking by faith means keeping an open mind whatever may happen in my life. It isn’t that I have no personal goals, but having God direct my path. Proverbs 16:9 (AMP) says: A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them.

On the first day of postgraduate school, my class was asked to formulate a detailed plan regarding how to complete the two-year course. Basically, it was a form of encouragement and a guideline in order for us to finish up what we had started. Total commitment is essential regardless of what may occur. On my part, it was difficult to internalize because my thoughts are always; “not my will be done but Yours.” Realistically, it’s good to plan ahead. Oftentimes these plans will sound so perfect, we might tend to forget that God always knows better, Isaiah 55:8-9 does says: “for His ways and thoughts are higher”.

Beloved, confidence shouldn’t stem from being proud of our talents, how smart we are or how skillful we are, but rather emanate from an unyielding faith and trust in God that whatever His will for us is. We press forward and obey and walk with confidence in God and not by our personal ability.

Have a blessed Monday and an “Awesome” rest of your week.
  • “I Got The Power!!!”

I Got The PowerPraise the Lord Beloved!!! Happy Friday to you all. 😀

Back in the day I use to love a song by C&C Music Factory called I “Got the Power”. That turned out to be our city league softball teams anthem after each game. We had several men including me that could “go yard” (hit home runs) in any given ending or during a softball tournament. A few of us could hit 2 or three homes during any given game. So, after each victory my friend would crank up the song “I Got the Power”.

Beloved, as a believer, you have the power also. Each day we wake up it’s a victory and we’re blessed with power to engineer the new day. Residing in you is the same new life God gave Jesus when He raised Him from the dead. The old sinner you once were has died. You’ve become a new creation on the inside. The power you have inside you is called “resurrection power”. When you’re living morally correct You’re full of the resurrection life of God!!!

But immorality, rebelliousness and living a selfish, carnal life will keep that resurrection life from flowing out. Sin will separate you from the resurrection power of God, even though you’re born again. Resurrection power will lay dormant in you if you walk in sin.

Beloved, you can’t overcome sin by “TRYING” to stop sinning. You overcome it by walking after the new life God has put within you, by spending time in the Word and in prayer and of course changing the atmosphere around you if possible. As you do that, the Spirit of God will strengthen you and enable you to put that sin under your feet. The Holy Spirit won’t calm down those old fleshly habits of yours on His own. He’ll wait on you to take the initiative. Then He’ll strengthen you to follow through with your decision. He’ll teach you how to walk in the new life “WITH the Power” that’s on the inside of you.

Beloved, this weekend, take the first step by asking for His help. If you don’t know how here’s an example for you, just say: “Lord, I desire to experience the power to live by this new life every day. I’ve made a conscience decision, I’m discontinuing my worldly ways of immorality, rebelliousness. Living a selfish carnal life will not dictate to me any longer. I declare myself dead to sin. In Jesus’ Name, starting today, I’ll spend time in prayer and in the Word. As I do, I believe I’ll receive the Holy Ghost which will refresh “reboot” my life with resurrection power.”

Beloved, YOU GOT THE POWER!!! 😀

Have a blessed Weekend Everyone!!! 😀
