  • The Significance of Good Friday

Good morning and blessed Good Friday to you! 🌄✨

    Today’s devotion is called:
“The Significance of Good Friday” ✝️ 🕊️ 💙

Scriptural Insight – 1 Peter 2:24 (Christian Standard Bible)
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.
By his wounds you have been healed.”

    C H O F Ministry’s Synopsis:
This verse captures the essence of Good Friday, a day of profound spiritual significance marking Jesus Christ’s crucifixion. It signifies the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, offering us a path to righteousness and healing.

    🗣️Bishop Houston’s Contemplation:
Good Friday invites us to ponder deeply on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. As the sun sets on this solemn day, we’re reminded of the darkness that fell over the earth during Christ’s last moments on the cross. This day isn’t just a commemoration of suffering but a celebration of the unconditional love and mercy bestowed upon us. In the shadow of the cross, we find the light of hope, forgiveness, and a new beginning. Reflecting on 1 Peter 2:24, let’s embrace the profound truth that through His wounds, we are healed. This healing isn’t merely physical but encompasses spiritual renewal and the mending of our relationship with God. Good Friday thus becomes not just a historical event but a continual invitation to live a life of righteousness, anchored in the hope and redemption offered through Christ’s sacrifice. 🕊️💔🌅

“Let Us Go into The Throne Room of Grace and Mercy:”

Lord, on this Good Friday, we remember the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and the depth of Your love for us. Help us to carry the message of Your forgiveness and grace into every part of our lives. May we live in the righteousness that Christ has secured for us and extend Your love to those around us.
    To God Be the Glory.

Have a Blessed Good Friday and a Safe Resurrection Weekend, Everyone. ✝️ 🕊️💙😊

  • “Time Is Expiring for Hard-Headed People”

11 10 2019 week 1 Bishop Houston's Sunday Morning Church Time Is Expiring for Hard-Headed People

The LORD kept dispatching the prophets with admonitions because He had compassion for His people. Judgment would come, but their receptiveness to the word of God would have made an enormous difference in their transition to captivity. But because they were so hard-hearted—had no feelings, insulting, hating and making fun of prophets, the defeat by Babylon was very brutal. Young and old were murdered, and everything of value was taken and they burned the Temple.

Beloved, the harder we make our hearts – the more we refuse to listen, the more we reject or ignore those sent to deliver a moral word, the more devastating the circumstances must be to wake us up and turn us around. They had faced embarrassing defeats during the reign of the last four kings, but none of those defeats caused them to humble themselves before God and turn to Him. There was no cure. God looked for another way, but there was none. You know, often people will ask how God could have allowed a disaster to happen. Well, in many cases, it’s because there was no other solution. Many times, there’s no less alternative that will turn people from the hardness of their hearts or being “hard-headed.”

Beloved, Israel had ignored the law of Sabbath rest for many centuries. Every seventh year they were not supposed to plant, but just let what came up on its own be sufficient for them. If they had ignored this law for 490 years, then the land was due for 70 years of Sabbath rests. That’s exactly what happened. The land had its rest, and the people received their embarrassment. They stopped being hard-headed and changed their hearts. Those who returned were unwilling to accept idol worship and possess a fear of disobeying God. Their spiritual observance moves into the period of restoration. The people were allowed to return and build the temple again. God would prepare them for a great redemption – the coming of the Messiah.

Beloved, continuous rebellion and mockery against the allowed personnel of God will get you a visit from an angry God along with all your infractions well documented, including the major penalty for each one.

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, help us turn to You before it’s too late. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.

Beloved life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind may enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone you love and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

    Have a fantastic Sunday. 😀

  • “He’s Always Up to Date”

    Tuesday 7 15 2019 Let Us Pray Isaiah 55 2
Praise the Lord Beloved. Happy Tuesday!!! 😀

Beloved, are you acquainted with these words? Jesus rightfully proclaimed He’s the bread of life and living water that those who come to Him will never go hungry and thirsty again (*1). 😀 Since “WAY” back in the day to today, people keep on repeating the same old mistake of spending and struggling for things that realistically won’t really bring contentment. Many of you that know me know I love video games.

One time, I worked long hours and saved my money to buy the latest video gaming system. A system that I could effortlessly play any video game I wanted. Little did I know that the feeling of gratification would be brief. Soon after, a better and more powerful gaming system was going to be released making mine seem like a bad purchase. Now, new video games and systems have come out with UHD 4k technology. So, now a UHD 4k television is required to receive the intensive and full design of the video games and their systems – 8k television is soon coming. By God’s grace, I’ve stopped in my tracks and I’ve come to realized that chasing technology will always leave me dissatisfied and deficient. But OOH how thankful we are for God and what He gives, He doesn’t charge, nor does He change (*2). 😀

Beloved, salvation “rescuing, removing, recovering” – redemption in Jesus is a gift to us (*3). Now there’s nothing wrong with updating to replace the outdated but if you don’t want to labor in vain, don’t get all caught up with fashion, and trends. Go to God, and learn to be content and truly happy, He’s always up to date.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a blessed Tuesday. 😀
