  • “Slow Down”

Q: Bishop Houston, I am in an economic crisis. I have prayed and prayed I have admitted where I went wrong, and I have corrected those areas, but I am still in financial trouble. What else can I do?

Thank you for your excellent question.

A: Many are feeling the economic crunch as we try to recover from the pandemic shut down. Recovering from a crisis of any kind isn’t always a quick fix or Jeanie in the bottle remedy. Prudence, insight, and knowledge is the answer. Understanding your predicament is the key to recovery. Proverbs 4:7 (AMP) says, “The beginning of wisdom is: Get [skillful and godly] wisdom [it is preeminent]! And with all your acquiring, get understanding [actively seek spiritual discernment, mature comprehension, and logical interpretation].”

I realize that sounds uncomplicated, but it’s shocking to see how many believers forget to do it when crises come. They get so overwhelmed most of the time they run to every source they feel will point them in the direction that seems correct to repair or resolve their problems.

Beloved, discovering how to slow down a little in certain circumstances, and start commending God for His brilliant work, His covenant of peace, and say no to the evil or crisis that’s trying to take that peace from You. You must stand on your faith and believe that God is with you during your emergency, and He’ll deliver you. Pray and ask God for His wisdom in your crisis. He’ll show you how to meditate and cleverly use your faith. No matter what or how baffling your problem may appear, you can pray with confidence, knowing God will answer it. James 1:5 (AMP) says, “If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.”

Not long ago, First Lady Donece and I were facing a complicated situation. It came out of know where. We were perplexed because we didn’t see it coming. To be truthful, I immediately reacted by reciting every scripture and praying every way I could think. But the Holy Spirit stepped in and disconnected “my” actions – “Slow Down.” Now, there’s nothing wrong with affirming scriptures, and it’s beautiful to pray. But in the sudden emergence of the crisis, I missed the principle thing I needed. “WISDOM!!!” Beloved, I lacked wisdom. I needed to settle down and get an understanding and believe everything will be fine. I didn’t have to get so alarmed. All I had to do was pray in the Holy Ghost, and He showed me the perfect will of God. All I had to do is listen to God’s directions.

Today, I’m here to confess to you after several days had gone one morning as I woke God exposed His wisdom to me. I woke up understanding precisely what, who, and how the crisis occurred and HOW TO ADDRESS IT. As a result, First Lady and I have walked away from what meant to be a bad situation into victory – success.

Beloved, I hope my answer has helped you.
    Thank you for your question.

  • CHOF Ministry’s “Probing For Spiritual Answers – “Living Together”

Probing For Spiritual Answers Living TogetherQuestion:
Bishop Houston, my boyfriend and I have been living together for nine months, and we have a baby on the way. Our relationship has its good and bad times but, our love for each other is strong. Please, is it wrong for me to live together with my man without being married?

    Congratulations!!! 😊
Your question is fantastic – Thank you for asking. ✝️❤️😊

    Answer:
In 1 Thessalonians 5:22 (AMP), it tells us to “Abstain from every form of evil [withdraw and keep away from it].” Beloved, living together without being married, presents the presence of evil.

You see, living together indicates that the participating couple is willing to restrict their loyalty to one another. It also shows the relationship’s foundation is built on current views and emotions instead of long-term dedication and obligations. The foundation of their relationship isn’t based on God’s inspirational creativity for marriage nor His protocols that centralizes the extent and nature of the relationship.

If you’ll read Genesis 2:22-25, Ephesians 5:21-33, Hebrews 13:4, and Romans 13:1 you’ll find that they disclose both the spiritual and legal features of a marriage agreement. Without pledging to one another and God in the spiritual and legal aspects of marriage living together, breach the Word of God.

Beloved marriage is a sacred covenant in the eyes of God. “A MAN and A WOMAN” should make every effort to honor God and each other by obeying the Word regarding marriage. So yes, it’s wrong to live together. Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

  • CHOF Ministry’s “Probing For Spiritual Answers – “Pleading The Blood”

Probing For Spiritual Answers Plead The Blood
Q: Bishop Houston, can you tell me what pleading the blood means?

    Great question. ✝️❤️😊
    Answer:
Beloved, “Pleading the blood,” is legal terminology. It’s like an attorney arguing his case in court. He introduces witnesses and testimony along with detailed statistics and statements that will substantiate his claim in front of a judge. Look in your Bible at 1 Samuel 24:15 and Psalm 43:1 (The Old Law); they’re great examples of this terminology.
When the prosecutor says we’re guilty, our appeal before God, the Honest and Honorable Magistrate, is the blood of Jesus. It reworked everything. The blood of Jesus created a modern-day and clearer covenant between a holy God and us(*1). Beloved, the blood is our security. It confirms we’re not guilty but free from all punishment of sin. The blood authorizes us and supplies us with the ability to resist Satan and put him out of all the activities of our lives and our families’ lives.
It’s Jesus’ sacrifice at Calvary that the devil has no lawful right to intrude in our lives anymore. He says we’re guilty; we “plead the blood!!!” (*2). So, as you can see, we have all rights and requirements to walk in victory through the precious blood of the Lamb.
Beloved, you have the right “Every Day” to use that power. All you have to do is plead the blood of Jesus over what He’s done for you.
Don’t give the enemy even one small inch of space. Satan is a defeated opponent, and through the precious blood of Jesus, we’re victorious also!!! Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

  • “What Are The Various Forms of Prayer?”

Probing For Spiritual Answers What Are The Various Forms of Prayer
Q: Bishop Houston, since the COVID-19 has entered our world I have never seen so many people praying. People are praying all over the internet. Can you please tell me, sir, what are the various forms of prayer?

    Answer:
Thank you for your question – Yes.

Prayer is always a great solution.

Beloved, no matter what form of prayer you pray, it’s virtually connecting with God. It’s a chance to talk with God. Contribute what’s on your mind, how you’re feeling emotionally, and tell Him your desires, and it allows Him to answer you. It’s not complicated. It’s very uncomplicated because what’s most crucial is that your prayers be honest and not self-persuasive.

Beloved, increasing your knowledge of prayer is a great thing. Some people make prayer seem difficult. Praying isn’t complicated. We, as spiritual leaders, need to do a better job to increase proper understanding and appreciation of the various purpose prayer can provide. Below I’ve listed the core forms of prayer revealed in Scripture:

*Matthew 18:19 – The prayer of understanding means two or more of you agree. Beloved when you pray with more than yourself, it enhances the energy ten times your ability.

*1 Peter 5:7 – The prayer of loyalty. This prayer is a prayer you place your concerns on the Lord.

*James 5:14-15 – The prayer of Faith. This prayer is a prayer that announces your belief, trust, and confidence that God can restore your association or body.

*Ephesians 5:20 – Is the prayer of thanksgiving. It merely offers expressions of gratitude to the Lord.

*1 Timothy 2:1-2 – This is the prayer of intervention. It’s praying to save those that have failed, are misunderstood or have been misguided.

Beloved prayer’s a compelling event, and God wants you to walk in the fullness of it. Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

  • “THERE IS SO MUCH IMMORALITY IN THE WORLD – WHY?”

THERE IS SO MUCH IMMORALITY IN THE WORLD web title picture

    Here Is Today’s Question

    Glogus Utilly asked:

Bishop Houston, our world is filled with so much violence and many crooked people. I want to believe God exist, but it is hard for me to be a believer when there is so much immoral behavior and twisted minds. Can you explain to me why is God letting this happen if He exist?
    (Glogus Utilly)

Thank you for your question Glogus Utilly.

    Answer:

You know, this is a tough and awkward question that I’m sure many people are wanting an answer for. Well, the most unpretentious way to look at this question is to inspect God’s nature and His desire for the creative human.

So, let’s look at God’s reason.
God loves us and wants us to love Him back. So, how could we love Him back unless we have the liberty to not love?

Sure, God could have created us to be like machines who don’t do anything but say, “I love you. I love you. I love you.” But that would be forceful and not real love or in other the words the love God has created.

    Mechanicle heart

    Love is an action word

Glogus love is an action word so that makes love a choice. So, if you have a choice you must be able to choose not to love and that in itself is the nature of immoral behavior and twisted minds. You see, a malicious mind chooses not to love. So, when God gave us the freedom to choose, He gave us not only our greatest blessing, but He also gave us our greatest curse because we can choose to do right or choose to do wrong.

Restitution Of Sexual Immorality In The Church

So, the reason there’s so much unrest, immorality and many twisted minds in the world isn’t because of God, but because God gave us the freedom to choose.

Now the possibility for love outweighs the existence of depravity because unrest, immorality, and twisted minds will only exist for a short time, but love is going to go on forever. All of the misery, sadness, and death that we see in the world today are a result that man/women have selected by making wrong choices.

    bad character choices
Glogus, God could have taken our freedom, but He didn’t. I hope you’ll use your freedom to become a believer and choose God.

Thank you for your question Glogus Utilly.
