“Father Knows Best”
Praise The Lord Beloved. Happy Monday. 😀You know, our world has so many disruptions and disorders that can cause us to become apprehensive. This morning’s Bible verse tells us The Lord cares for the sparrows, but we’re worth more. We’re made in His image, and He has a confidential relationship with us. Matthew 10:30-31 says: “And even the hairs of your head are all counted. So, do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Beloved, your finances, your occupation, the institution or edifice you attend, and family are just a few of the things that can divert us and take a lot of our energy if we rely on our will instead of trusting in God’s will and plan. You see, what happens is we’ll become apprehensive and concerned, and before we even realize it, we’ve taken our visions back out of God’s hands because we think we can handle it better than Him.Beloved, God understands you better than you understand yourself. He has the best plan and He knows the absolute best way to get you to where you need to be. Job 28:23 (NLT) says: “Only God understands the way to wisdom, and he alone knows where it lives…”Amen? Aaamen. 😀Let Us Pray:Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that we all continue to remember the things You have faithfully done for us. You’re virtuous, You’re always keeping an eye on us, our struggles, our encounters, and our disruptions and disorders. Help us to see and understand that the things in this world are provisional and to remember the promise of eternal life You have for us. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE –I LOVE YOU ALL!!! – Have a blessed Monday and a great week everyone. 😀 -
“Selflessly”

Praise the Lord Beloved, Happy New Month and
Happy Labor Day. 😀You know Beloved, one of the hardest attitudes to get rid of in life is pride. This world has educated us to concentrate only on ourselves and forget others to be successful, positive, and fruitful. But this idea of selfish optimism is completely contradictory to what God has taught us in His word. We’re supposed to love others as we love ourselves. We have to let go of our selfish ambition and pride and start regarding others as better than ourselves. God wants us to do things selflessly and not selfishly. That’s the best way to live out humility in our lives. Sure, we may seem deficient and inferior to others, but always remember that God’s judgment is the only one that matters, and He gives grace to the humble. 😀
Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE – I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Have a blessed Monday. 😀

“There’s a Reason for Seasons”

Praise the Lord Believers in the Christian faith.Happy Monday. 😀You know this morning’s scripture is generally credited to King Solomon, who was famous for his wisdom. King Solomon had everything his heart desired including an empire, knowledge, resources and physical assets. This scripture and an earlier passage of scripture (*1) define for us life on this earth. There are seasons in all our lives, times of joy and mourning, times to reminisce and move on, times to be desired and desire others.Beloved, the purpose for God giving us seasons is so that in the good times we can praise Him and give thanks for the things He has given us, in the good times and in the bad times, we can turn to God in faith and realize that living in this world is very brief. There’ll be times when we’ll seem to have it all together. We’ll also have times when things won’t seem to go right. So, in this life, receive the seasons as they come. Never give in to desolation, and remember this life is but a moment compared to eternity. One day, the things of this world will pass away, and we’ll live in a splendid perpetuity with the Lord who made us and loves us so very much. Amen? 😀 Aaamen. 😀Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a Brilliant Monday.CHOF Ministry’s Cross Reference Scriptures*1. Ecclesiastes 1:4-7 -
“There’s Power When We’re Weak”

Praise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀 Happy Monday to you all.
As I’ve gotten older, I have a few lingering health conditions that require me to take several medications a day. You know Beloved, we don’t always understand why the Lord allows us to have certain health problems and challenges, but as Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians, sometimes the Lord won’t remove certain hardships from our lives because of the testimony that we have through them to give Him glory outweighs any potential benefit we might otherwise receive. But if we can tell others how hard we struggle and how we eventually obtain victory through the Lord’s strength and not our own, that gives glory to Him.
Beloved, whenever ongoing health issues or other setbacks get you down, use them as a road sign to point others to the source of your strength and hope. If we can use our weaknesses to point to God and give Him the glory, then that’s a very irrefutable powerful weakness. Amen. 😀 Aaamen… 😀
Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER-JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a blessed Monday. 😀

“You’re the Right Person”

Praise the Lord Beloved. Happy Monday. 😀Beloved, have you ever felt like the Lord was calling you subconsciously, challenging you to acknowledge? You know, our world today is definitely tuning out and actually altering what the Lord is saying. In this age, to many people the Lord doesn’t seem to be perceptible in a physical form and doesn’t distinctly speak to them. But, I’m here to tell you He does still speak to us. Through His Word and through His Holy Spirit, the Lord can speak to our temperament just as clearly as he spoke to Samuel. Even if you’re not yet a believer, the Lord can still speak to your temperament. It says in scripture that Samuel hadn’t yet known the Lord.Beloved, we should all be like Samuel, who after hearing the call “IMMEDIATELY” answered, “Here I am Lord.” Don’t stop to think things out or over evaluate the situation. Simply answer, “Here I am Lord.” The same God who made the celestial ambiance will give you everything you need to be successful in whatever He has called you to do. You must have confidence that He wouldn’t call you to do it if you weren’t the precise person He had in mind for the job. Have an amazing Monday and an awesome week. 😀 -
“Personally, Adjudicating Your Neighbor”

Praise the Lord Beloved. Happy Monday to you all. 😀You know Beloved, it’s very, very – VERY, easy to discover and intensify the errors of others, especially when it overshadows our own weaknesses and inadequacies. Actually, it’s easy to insult or criticize someone at the expense of their misfortune(s) “especially if we dislike them”, while we ignore our own failures. Beloved, if you claim the Christian faith these kinds of acts can’t and shouldn’t be taken lightly!!! It’s wrong and a very serious misguided step on your spiritual journey. You see, trying to make yourselves look better or standout, by employing dishonorable means is just outright wrong and only smears “YOUR” character and reputation. This is “hypocrisy” at its best, which our Savior avoided and ignored and repetitively warned His disciples about!!!Now, don’t get me wrong here, I’m not saying stop applying godly discernment, and good old common sense, to discern right from wrong, to differentiate between ethical ideologies and unscrupulous corruption. But what “I am saying” is you should NEVER judge your neighbor from a predetermined, impartial, or instigated platform. Fact is many of you insult or criticize a person or people you’ve never personally met or spoken to, so you don’t know their life’s story- THIS IS WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS. Your information is from gossip-hearsay “he said – she said” mess!!! (*1)Beloved, there’s only one magistrate and that is the Lord. (*2)Someone out there may be asking: So, Bishop Houston, who is my neighbor? – “Well I’m Glad You asked. 😀 It’s everyone!!! Whether a friend or rival, a Believer or not, rich or poor. We as Christians should treat everyone alike with unconditional loving kindness. To put it simply, just don’t speak evil against one another. Remember, with each judgment we make of our neighbor, the exact same measure will be handed to us. (*3)Amen? – Aaamen 😀Beloved, life is very short. “Astute Friends”
Good Morning Beloved, Happy Monday!!! 😀When I was younger, my momma warned me about selecting my friends wisely. But being young and naive, all I could think about was having fun ‘kicking it”. It took me many years to understand that she wanted me to avoid deceitful and malicious company. I thought it was just another pointless apprehension on her part, but her advice proved to be very significant. That’s because our peers have an unswerving influential effect (power) on us. This morning’s bible verse sounds practical but it’s intensely true. You see, to be astute is to walk with the astute. Though being with them doesn’t mean that their insight, understanding, and knowledge will rub off on us automatically, but at least we give ourselves a chance and a glimpse on how to live prudently. It also keeps us from damage control and out of destruction’s way as the friend of the fools is the straight road to ruin.Beloved, trying to save a person who doesn’t want to be saved in the first place is actually a problem and very difficult. Extended interaction with deceitful, malicious and unethical company will eventually corrupt. We need to remember and accept that only God can really change a person’s heart and ways.Beloved, from time to time, it’s mentally, spiritually and monetarily, healthier to avoid than to engage.Amen? – Aaamen.Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them,BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.Our ministry continues to grow. God has truly been good to us!!! We thank each and every one of you for helping to make this possible. And be sure to like, share, or forward this on to a friend so we can “Together” continue to spread God’s word.I LOVE YOU ALL!!! “Be Willing to Consider Practical Service”

Happy Monday Everyone. I hope you had a blessed Father’s Day Weekend. Now, allow me to give you a little history here about this morning’s Bible verse. The Babylonian kingdom defeated Israel and relocated the Israelites throughout the kingdom. Jerusalem was over-thrown. The walls were demolished. Then the Persians took over the Babylonians. Now, here’s where Nehemiah comes in. He found out about the condition of Jerusalem and was overwhelmed with sorrow. He got the Persian king to let him go to Jerusalem to reconstruct the wall, but he faced hostility. However, Nehemiah had God on his side. He told those that were still in Jerusalem why he was there, and they went to work. Leaders, perfume makers, goldsmiths, and merchants were just some of the people who donated to reconstructing the wall.Beloved, God didn’t find the best craftsmen and creators. He used the people who were accessible – reachable. They were motivated to work because they had something great to work toward. This is an awesome picture of the church/ministry. When we have a goal to get something done, we can do it “together”. We shouldn’t hate on one another especially when we’re focused on the same cause or being about our Heavenly Father’s business. We don’t need to be the best at anything, but if we give our best God can use it to do astonishing things that we never would have thought possible. Amen? – Aaamen.Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.Our ministry continues to grow. God has truly been good to us!!! We thank each and every one of you for helping to make this possible. And be sure to like, share, or forward this on to a friend so we can “Together” continue to spread God’s word.I LOVE YOU ALL!!! “Walk with Confidence in God”

Praise the Lord Beloved – Happy Monday to you All. 😀
I hope each of you had a wonderful Resurrection Day.Yesterday evening after a long day of Resurrection Day services, First Lady Donece and I finally got home and settled in our den and we began to reflect on the day’s events which led us into a conversation on education. As we talked about our different educational environments and eras, we both came to the same conclusion that we never thought that working on our Master’s degree would bring us confusion instead of clarity. This morning as I meditated on my morning scripture the Holy Spirit showed me the conversation with the First Lady. To me, walking by faith means keeping an open mind whatever may happen in my life. It isn’t that I have no personal goals, but having God direct my path. Proverbs 16:9 (AMP) says: A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them.On the first day of postgraduate school, my class was asked to formulate a detailed plan regarding how to complete the two-year course. Basically, it was a form of encouragement and a guideline in order for us to finish up what we had started. Total commitment is essential regardless of what may occur. On my part, it was difficult to internalize because my thoughts are always; “not my will be done but Yours.” Realistically, it’s good to plan ahead. Oftentimes these plans will sound so perfect, we might tend to forget that God always knows better, Isaiah 55:8-9 does says: “for His ways and thoughts are higher”.Beloved, confidence shouldn’t stem from being proud of our talents, how smart we are or how skillful we are, but rather emanate from an unyielding faith and trust in God that whatever His will for us is. We press forward and obey and walk with confidence in God and not by our personal ability.Have a blessed Monday and an “Awesome” rest of your week.
