Praise The Lord Beloved!!! ✝️❤️😊
This morning’s question was:
Bishop Houston, I’m a compassionate person, and I love to help people when I can. Even when they come to me with a lie, I’ve tried to see the upside and do what I feel is best – usually giving in. I want to start telling people NO. What do you suggest I do to help me say no?
Thank you for your excellent question. 😊
Answer:
There are deceivers on all levels, and many are so believable. Before being spiritually renovated and spiritually redeveloped, I was a deceiver, and I received my share of deception too. But the key to saying no is allowing the Holy Spirit to be full time in your life. The Holy Spirit identifies the scammer, deceiver, those that fabricate, and the straight up in your face liar. When you permit the Holy Spirit inside you to be your guide, you can speak “no” without an apparent reason. Now there may be people in your life (if they’re close to you); it’s Ok to discuss the reasoning why you’ve said no. You can tell them you trust the Lord to assist you in making choices about specific (or all) matters that come into your life. Let them know that He understands and recognizes what lies ahead in every decision, and you can’t just start leaning on your understanding (emotions). You can’t do anything without getting His OK!!!
So, when you do recognize the situation and determine that you need to say “no,” DON’T HESITATE.” Maybe your “no” will benefit others by helping them reevaluate their strategy. The Spirit could lead them to a healthier choice or approach.
AND DON’T YOU EVER THINK YOU OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR SAYING NO!!! Especially if you’ve openly and honestly explained to them who guides your life and how you make decisions!!!
Beloved, I leave you with 1 Corinthians 10:13 (AMP): “No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].” – Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊
