  • “Doing It God’s Way”

    3 30 2020 Isaiah 30 21
    Praise The Lord Everyone!!! ✝️❤️😊

First Lady Donece likes to joke with me about a trip we took to Columbus, Ohio.

She said, “you need to go this way as she pointed to the off-ramp ahead, which redirected me toward our hotel after not listening to the directions of our GPS. I’d traveled to our destination a few times, so I wasn’t following the verbal commands of our navigation system. It had been a long day, and I was tired and wasn’t as focused as I should have been. You see, all I had to do is listen to my navigation system. Instead, I went 12 miles out of the way and through a tough-looking neighborhood.

As I was meditating on our morning’s Bible passage, that adventure came to my mind. Before being spiritually reinstated and reunited with God I’d often deviate from obediently doing it God’s way, I was always captivated by the impulses to pursue what I want instead of seeking His ways. Beloved, how often have you (or know someone) that have done the same thing?

Now meditate just a moment on Isaiah 30:21. I want you to feel the words of Isaiah from God for Israel: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it’.” Earlier in that chapter, God had rebuked His people for their defiance. But if they would trust His strength instead of their own ways (v. 15), He guaranteed to show His kindness and generosity (v.18).

One manifestation of God’s generosity is His guarantee to guide us by His Spirit. It materializes as we talk to Him about our aspirations and ask in prayer what He has for us. I’m thankful God patiently instructs us, day-by-day, step-by-step, as we have confidence in Him and listen for His voice. Amen and Aaamen!!! ✝️❤️😊

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, You’ve agreed to guide us through the ups and downs and choices we face in life. Help us to have confidence, hold on to You, and to listen for Your voice to direct us actively. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen. ✝️❤️

I Love you all!!! Have a joyful Monday and a secure and sensible week Everyone. ✝️❤️😊

  • Always Right There”

    9 9 2019 1 Kings 19 11 12
Praise the Lord Beloved Happy Monday to you all. 😀

Beloved, Elijah was the prophet of God, and during the darkest times of Israel, he suffered great depression. You see, the nation became idol worshippers. They worshiped Baal under the leadership of Queen Jezebel, the Phoenician wife of King Ahab, who wanted to kill Elijah. She had already killed other prophets, and Elijah was the only prophet left. So, Elijah ran away, went into the wilderness, sat under a broom tree and asked God to take his life. BUT!!! – God had another plan for Elijah. He told him to go to Mount Horeb to meet Him there and to show him that he was not alone. When a gentle whisper came, Elijah knew it was God. You see, to hear a whisper requires intimacy, familiarity, and understanding. Wow!!! God was right there all the time, closer than Elijah thought. 😀

Beloved, this is a story to remind us that whatever we’re going through, whatever problems we’re facing, God is always right there, right beside us, whispering to us in a soft voice. All we need to do is listen carefully. Amen? Aaamen. 😀

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE – I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Have a blessed Monday and a great week. 😀

  • “We Are Responsible”

    8 27 2019 Ezra 10 10 12
Praise the Lord Believers in the Christian faith.

When the priest Ezra heard how the rest of God’s people had broken God’s law by marrying the women of the land, he tore his robes and cried like a newborn baby and fasted. The people followed his lead and felt guilty about their sin. It was the people who encouraged him to tell them what to do to set things right with God. Ezra replied with the verses on this morning’s picture marquee – “…make confession to the Lord God of your fathers and do His will. Separate yourselves from the peoples of the land and from [your] foreign wives.”

Beloved, there are many of us who don’t live in Israel and never prohibited to marry a certain group of people, but the principle remains the same. That’s why the Apostle Paul told us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. That could apply to marriage or business. You see, when we recognize we’re with people of evil practices, we shouldn’t commit ourselves to any type of cohesive endeavor with them. How Can Two Walk Together Except They Be Agreed?

Now there’s also a deeper principle. WHAT FELLOWSHIP DOES LIGHT HAVE WITH DARKNESS? If we’re walking in the light, we’ll be disgusted (nauseated) by the sin and have a desire to show them the way to be freed from its bondage. There are some Christians that will play on the edge of the cliff of sin because the allurement is attractive to them. In other words, THEY THINK IT’S A GAME!!! They’ll create a line where there’s a danger of being caught by sin then try to stay far enough behind the line without being caught.” Beloved, let me ask you this question: Would you walk along the very edge of a cliff? It’s that simple.

In this final chapter of Ezra, the men sent their foreign wives and children away. Now, that seems very harsh of God, but the situation existed because of disobedience to God. It was the only thing to do. Not dealing with the issue had caused the downfall of Israel in the past. Beloved, it’s imperative that we cut off from our lives the thing that’s enticing us to sin and send it away from our lives if we’re going to go on with God.

    CHOF Ministry’s Mid-Week Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, this morning I confess my sins to You, the ones I am aware of, the ones that I’ve not asked you for forgiveness, and the ones of my past. As I continue to do what you ask and instruct me to do, I will continue to strive all day every day to separate myself from the sins that attempt to separate me from Your blessings. In Jesus’ Name, I Pray Amen Aaamen.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE. I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a Pleasant Wednesday.

  • “Our God Is Unbiased”

    7 31 2019 Our God is Unbiased
Praise the Lord Believers in the Christian faith.

You know Beloved, people are predisposed to treat others in a different way created by external criteria such as looks, assets, or social status, but God is utterly unbiased. He never shows nepotism and always judges righteously.

Nepotism can be defined as a favored or privileged attitude and treatment of a person or group over another having equal claims and rights. It’s plain and simple, unpardonable discrimination – prejudice. In James Chapter 2, James confronts it as sin and admonishes us to avoid it at all costs (*1).

God’s detachment from nepotism is seen throughout Scripture. Let me give you a few examples: Moses said to the people of Israel, “The Lord your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality, nor take a bribe. He executes justice for the orphan and the widow and shows His love for the alien by giving him food and clothing. So, show your love for the alien, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt” (*2). Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, warned his judges to rule with an unbiased attitude because God Himself has “no part in unrighteousness, or partiality” (*3).

Beloved, God’s unbiased characteristic is also seen in His generous unconditional offer of salvation to people of “every” race. In Acts chapter 10 Peter says, “I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right, is welcome to Him” (*4).

God is also impartial in judgment. In Romans 2 it says that God will bring “tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil – but glory and honor and peace to every man who does good. For there is no partiality with God” (*5).

Beloved, our text this morning is a judicious admonition because prejudice, discrimination, and bigotry are pervasive evils in our society – both inside and outside the church. I pray that God will use what I’ve spoken to you to help you, protect you, and bring light to nepotism and understand influences and strengthen your commitment to godly living. May God Add Blessings to the readers and doers of His Holy Word.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday.

  • “Conform Today”

Walk with Me Lord conform Today
    Proverbs 29:1, (AMP)
He who, being often reproved, hardens his neck shall suddenly be destroyed—and that without remedy.

You know Beloved, some people have the mistaken idea that when the direction of the Holy Spirit comes to them, they can just ignore it for a while if they want to and then obey Him later in their own good time. They think to themselves, I know what I’m doing is wrong. I know my lifestyle isn’t right, but I’m just going to do it a while longer. Then I’ll get things straightened out with the Lord.

Beloved, let me warn you right here, that’s an extremely dangerous thing to do. Because God says that when you refuse His guidance, your heart grows hard. It’s not that God’s grace doesn’t extend to you anymore. It’s not that He wouldn’t forgive you if you turned to Him. It’s just that sin will callous your heart to the point where you can’t hear Him calling.

That’s just what happened to the children of Israel. God would tell them what to do and they wouldn’t do it. When He was trying to bring them into the Promised Land and He told them to go in and possess it, they flat out refused. Sure, they thought they had good reasons for refusing. They were so full of fear and unbelief that they actually thought if they did what God said, they’d be destroyed. But, you know, it doesn’t matter how good your reasons are for disobeying God. That disobedience will still cost you. It will still harden your heart.

The children of Israel ignored God’s leading so many times that He finally just sent them into the wilderness. They were so stubborn and arrogant, He couldn’t lead them into the blessings He’d planned for them, and He had to just let them wander around until all but two of them had died. He had to raise up a whole new generation of softer-hearted people before He could take them into the land.

Beloved, take a lesson from that and don’t play around with sin. When God tells you what you need to do, don’t put Him off thinking it will be easier to do it later. It won’t be. It will be harder!!!

When the Spirit of God comes to correct you, follow His instructions “and follow them quickly”. Keep your heart tender and conform to what the Lord says!!!

  • “You Got The Power!!!”

You Got The Power FB Church pageDeuteronomy 7:7-8 (NIV)
7The LORD did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. 8But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath he swore to your forefathers that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Beloved, have you ever asked yourself why does The Lord set His love on certain ones? Well, I have many times before I turned my life fully over to God. Now, I no longer ask that question, I now answer the question when others ask. Let’s look at the case of Israel, we see that The Lord simply chose to love them, and it was in keeping with the oath He made to their forefathers. That oath began with the man of faith, Abraham. You see, right here it shows that our relationship with God can affect future generations that follow us.

Beloved, God chose to love the world. He set His love upon the world because of what Jesus did. The result of Jesus’ life of faith is the same type, but It’s the ultimate fulfillment of the shadow in Abraham. We, too, were delivered from the land of slavery, slavery to our old nature. We, too, are delivered from the master of this world, Satan. Beloved, he no longer has a claim to our lives. He has no right to our souls. God made a promise to crush the head of Satan so that we could be redeemed and out from under the power of the enemy (those that tell you are useless, those that ostracize you, those that abuse you and lie on you, those that feel that they are more than you and look down on you.) Beloved, STAND UP AND GRAB YOUR STRENGTH!!! You are redeemed!!! The enemy has no has no power over you any longer!!! How people feel about you, is their opinion. The last time I checked a person’s opinion didn’t redeem you, a person’s opinion didn’t go up on Golgotha and shed blood and die so that you can live!!! And let me get just a little closer, a person’s opinion can’t save you from hell or put you in heaven.

Beloved, stop handing ‘YOUR POWER’ OVER TO PEOPLE TO BEAT YOU DOWN. God loves you also and He wants to love on you just like He loves on those you think have favor. You don’t have to be in a clique for God to love you. The verse above applies to you today. God has set His affection on you and chosen you also. You have Victory!!!! So, don’t let no one tell you different!!! Thank Jesus for making that possible. Live in the knowledge of the truth that God has set His affection on you because of Jesus’ life of faith and death in your place.

Beloved, you’re delivered from the power of the enemy. Don’t let the enemy tell you anything else. You are loved, and you are free!!!

    Have a Gorgeous Sunday.
