Praise the Lord Beloved!!! đ
I hope youâre being blessed in the Lord this morning. I normally donât post on Thursdays but this morning I had to share this with you before I had to the studio.
The Spirit of the Lord laid on me 1 Peter 1 6-7 (NLT) for my morning scripture reading it says:
*6 So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies goldâthough your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
There may be someone out there that may be in a crisis right now; (an illness crisis, a financial crisis,
a homeless crisis, an addiction crises). Beloved, if youâre a true believer, let me tell you, youâre being tested!!! đ You see, youâre a threat to Satan. So Satan has asked God for permission to see how strong your faith is in God (The Word of God).
Iâm reminded on two separate occasions, the Bible records that Satan petitioned the Lord to test a believer (Job in Job 1:6-12 and Peter in Luke 22:31-34). Beloved, in both cases, God agreed. The Devil did his best to break the faith of first Job and later Peter, but he failed both times!!! đ
Beloved, do you suppose that Christ and Satan have ever discussed you? I think most people are too humble to accept such a conversation has happened. So let me ask the question a different way: Is your life making an impact worth talking about? I had to ask this question of myself. Am I serving God sufficiently to make Satan feel threatened?
Let me tell you, preachers and missionaries aren’t the only people who make the Enemy nervous. Any believer who is determined to obey the Lord is a threat to the Devil, particularly when sharing the gospel. God calls on you to witness to certain people because you have just the right knowledge, story, or temperament to reach them. Fearing that the unbeliever might choose salvation because of your testimony, Satan gives you plenty of opportunities to fail. He hopes you’ll be too discouraged to continue serving the Lord. The Enemy would like nothing better than to frustrate and or prevent God’s plan for believers’ lives by destabilization their faith. That being the case, we might all be surprised how often our names pass between Jesus and Satan!!! đ
My Beloved, true believers in Christ, although you may think you aren’t important, God knows your true value.
Friend, as a Spirit-filled believer, you have amazing potential to serve the kingdom. Satan sees that, and heâll try to make you stumble, and he will place crisis in your life. If you fall or need someone to hold on to or help you âgo throughâ your crisis, âLEAN ON or HOLD ONâ to the unchanging hand of the Lord as you get to your feet and carry on. đ
God bless you and have a blessed Thursday. đ
