Probing For Spiritual Answers stop being victimized by my terrible embarrassing past
Q: Bishop Houston, I’ve been dealing with things I’ve done in my past that are now painful for me to think about today. I have tried to suppress them, but the hurt always seems to find its way back to set me back. What can I do to stop being victimized by my terrible embarrassing past?

Answer: Thank you for this “AWESOME” question!!!

I recognize your pain. Like yourself and so many others (me included) have had some past “not proud” of occurrences that seem to be engraved or stitched to our life. Being persecuted by your past can be challenging, especially living in an unforgiving world or surrounded by pitiless people that love to hold you down than help you up. But I have some good news for you. As a believer, we start the healing with a guarantee.
According to 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJ), “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”:-D

Beloved, no matter how complex or hurtful, nothing less than comprehensive healing is assured to you in Jesus. The minute you were spiritually reborn, “EVERY” previous, current, and upcoming sin (even those delivered to you by someone else), was taken care of by Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Spiritually you’re spotless before God, and by His Spirit, you can obtain a comprehensive rebuilding in every area of your life. We have faith in that every thought, memory, and emotion can come to a place of peace and healing.

I want you to understand that inner healing is often a process instead of an experience. Beloved, as you daily spend time with God and in His Word, you’ll discover that He provides healing to those inner hurts and memories of the past.

Uniting with God is a vital part of the procedure. “You” have to decide not to mentally relive those terrible experiences. It’s not an easy process, but when they creep into your mind or pitiless people attempt to install them remember you can control them by speaking God’s Word out of your mouth.

Let me give you an example:—when a hurtful thought comes, or a cold-blooded person tries to submerge you with guilt about your past, you can say out loud, “Father God, I thank You for providing me freedom through Jesus. Thank You for discharging my embarrassing past and releasing me to live guilt-free. And I thank You that all mental damage and all grief has been washed in Your blood. Right now, I choose to think about all the great things You’ve assured me, and I thank You for my healing in Jesus’ Name.”

Beloved, if you do this regularly, you’ll discover that the past will release its ability to influence “control” your future. I encourage you to press forward in your walk with God and know that you’re not alone. In Hebrews 13:5 God guaranteed you that He won’t leave or forsake you. God’s with you every step of the way to a completed restoration. Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

Bishop Houston Mid Week A Pledge to Remove Hurt
Praise The Lord Beloved 😀 Welcome to my Mid-Week Word.

    *Today’s Focal Verses: John 4:7-27

You know as I set back and just take a look around. I see and hear people hurting. The pain and agony don’t have to be there but because of immoral choices, self-centeredness, jealousy the torrential downpour of hurt exist here on earth. Sure, we all can (and do) cover up “mask” much of our hurt – that’s what our earthly existence has taught us. It’s just another one of our carnal survival techniques. But as a Believer, when the hurt comes, we search for the love of God. We know that the love of God brings an assurance that will comfort, protect and direct us. We all need God’s assured love, it’s recognized by its unconditional label, which means His love is for anyone who desires to be spiritual healed. You see, once spiritual healing takes place the pain, agony “hurt” start’ our mental and emotional restoration.

Beloved, if you’re suffering rejection, failure, or any circumstance that’s testing your faith, you need to know the Lord still cares and will never stop loving you. That’s exactly what we see in Jesus’ interaction with the Samaritan woman. You see, He initiated contact. Much to His disciples’ apprehension, Jesus traveled through Samaria to meet this woman. In that day, Jews didn’t associate with Samaritans and even avoided their region. But God doesn’t conform to man’s rules or prejudices. He reaches out with a message of hope and new life to anyone who will listen and believe. He knew her pain and heartache. She must have felt worthless and unloved after being abandoned or divorced by five husbands.

Beloved, we all have emotional baggage that weighs us down and causes pain, and this is often what God uses to draw us to Himself. You see, He offered forgiveness and “unconditional” love. Jesus drew out the details of her situation so she could recognize her need for a Savior and be receptive to His offer of forgiveness. He understood she lacked love, acceptance, and a sense of value, and a relationship with Him was the only way to fulfill that need.

Beloved, God sees us as clearly as He saw the Samaritan woman. He knows our sins and hurts and wants to bring us forgiveness and restoration. As we accept His salvation and submit to the Holy Spirit’s transforming work, we’ll have the pledge of His love and care for us.

    Praise the Lord Beloved!!!
    Happy Monday to Everyone. 😀

When I first started in the ministry, I used to get upset over people I’d pray for who wouldn’t get well. One day while I was praying and seeking God He knew I was perplexed and He spoke to my spirit and said, “Healing always comes”.

I remember I said, “What do You mean, Healing always comes? Not everyone gets healed.” And He answered, “I didn’t say they all received it. Then He spoke very sternly to me. “I DO MY PART!!! AND I SAID THEY WOULD RECOVER!!!

Beloved let me tell you, those words hit me like a ton of bricks. He said they would recover. You and I know God never lies. So, if He said they would recover, then that means healing always comes.

Beloved, it’s not God who’s holding back. It’s the receivers who aren’t receiving.

Since then, I’ve never had any trouble praying for people and believing for them to be healed. Whether they walk away well or not, I just keep standing in faith for them. So today, I have faith that anyone that leaves my presence that’s still sick, if they line their faith up with God and me, I don’t care if it’s five years from now, they’ll be healed.

Beloved, if you’ve laid hands on someone who didn’t receive their healing, don’t cut off the flow of God’s power by withdrawing your faith. Just stand fast. Keep believing that healing always comes and somewhere down the line that poor sick person may just decide to stand up and agree with you!!!

Have a blessed week Everyone. 😀
