  • “Ten Saved One Praise”

    11 27 2019 Luke 17 though 18
    Happy Thanksgiving Eve Everyone!!! 😀

In the book of Luke chapter 17, we read the story of the ten lepers. These ten guys had a terrified disfiguring illness that made a person unsanitary, unacceptable for society, and practically inhuman. The great emotional toll of feeling useless, repulsive, and not worthy to be loved only exceeded the enormous physical toll imposed by this untreatable illness.

In Luke 17:13, when these men saw Jesus, they cried out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” Jesus replied with sympathy and a task, telling them to show themselves to the priests, a clear allusion to Leviticus 14 about the cleansing of a leper. Luke 17:14 says, “As they were going, they were cleansed.” Beloved, do you see that? “AS THEY WERE GOING, they were cleansed.” That’s always the way it works with faith. Believe God’s Word enough to obey it. When you take that step toward faith, then you’ll see God show up and show out and do sensational things.

Beloved, can you imagine the awesome elation these guys must have felt? Their leprosy was cleansed!!! The disgusting illness that had taken practically everything was now gone!!! They could return to their families!!! They could return to society!!! They could really live again!!!—HALLELUJAH!!!

Now, nine of them ran off to go enjoy their great blessing. But one turned back – and he was a hated Samaritan. This guy was also overcome with excitement at his cleansing, and he wanted to give thanks and praise to the One who made it possible. He couldn’t dream of taking another step without praising God and voicing his heartfelt thankfulness. And the Lord responded to his thanksgiving by presenting him with a significantly larger gift, the gift of salvation.

Amusingly, Jesus was wondering aloud about the other guys. Where were they? Why was this “foreigner” alone in his thanks? 😊

Beloved, there are so many who have experienced the goodness of God and few returns with grateful thanksgiving. Thanksgiving Day is an awesome day to give praise, it a start!!! But we should all give thanks to God daily.

This Thanksgiving I want to pose a challenge to you as I challenge myself to emulate the Samaritan in this story and give thanks, foremost. To be sure, thanksgiving can be a sacrifice. Beloved, I’m sure many of you will agree with me when I say, life can be vicious and difficult. Situations can knock us down and leave us distraught or ruined. If we aren’t cautious, we can easily become disillusioned, discouraged, critical, pessimistic, and down-right nasty.

Let us all enter Thanksgiving Day with enthusiasm and joy!!! Because we all have thanksgiving praise to God for the many blessings, He has delivered to us daily. Amen? Aaamen.
    ✝️❤️😊

    CHOF Ministry’s Mid-Week Prayer:
Good morning Heavenly Father!!! This morning I just want to say THANK YOU!!! AND AMEN. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, I pray Amen and Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

Beloved life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone you love and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.

I LOVE YOU ALL, and First Lady Donece and I wish you a Magnificent Thanksgiving DAY!!! ✝️❤️😊

  • “Get It Right On the Inside”

    8 27 2019 1 Samuel 16 7

Praise the Lord Believers in the Christian faith.

You know, many times we ask God to repair the anomalies around us when what He really wants to do is resolve the problem within us. I’ve done that on many occasion especially when it comes to my weight. I used to pray and pray for God to help me lose weight. Yet I experienced repetitive disappointment. I would literally loose many pounds, only to gain them right back again.

Finally one day, I made a firm decision. I said God, “I’m not going one step further until I find out what to do about this!!!” Then I went on a fast. I closed off anything that was going to hinder me until I heard from God.

Beloved, during that fast the Lord exposed the actual cause of my problem. He showed me that I wanted to lose weight, but I didn’t want to terminate my eating habits. I was like an alcoholic who wants to be able to drink continuously and not be affected by it. I wanted to eat huge plates of food 4 times a day and get my weight down to 200 pounds!!!

Then it hit me!!! I realized God wasn’t content for me to simply get rid of the extra pounds on the outside of me. He wanted me to get rid of the sin of gluttony on the inside of me. So, I repented of that sin right then and there. I also recognized just how hard it is for a person who drinks or have an addiction to face the fact that they’re an alcoholic or addicted to a substance. WOW-it hurts to admit something like that. So, instead of asking God for liberation from my weight problem, I asked Him to liberate me from my excess eating habit.

Well, I’m pleased to announce, He has. 😀 I still barbecue large, but I don’t eat large plates of food and my weight is decreasing. “Hallelujah!!!! 😀

Beloved, if your prayers don’t seem to be changing the problems around you, maybe it’s time to take a look inside. Maybe it’s time to ask God to go to work on the heart of the matter.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a Pleasant Wednesday. 😀
