  • “God Looks at the Finishline”

    4 17 2020 Bishop Houston's Weekend Words 2 Timothy 4 7

Every so often, when people make errors or have done something, they’re not proud of they get down on themselves and think, “If I had of…” “If only…”, “I should have…” “What if…?” Beloved, it’s easy to feel like you’ve squandered the best plan for your life. There were points in my life I would beat myself up with if the I had of… should of… would of syndrome.

When it comes to that point, that’s when people get dejected and quit their spiritual concept and stop following their God-given dreams.

But I want you to understand today as a living witness, just because you’ve done something wrong or failed in some way, that doesn’t cancel God’s plan. God never disqualifies you – *PEOPLE WILL* but never God. He’ll never say, “Go sit on the sidelines, or I disqualify you because you’ve used drugs, alcohol, was a thief, was a prostitute, etc.… He’ll never say you’ve blown it too many times – *PEOPLE WILL* but never God. He’ll never say You’ve got too many weaknesses – *PEOPLE WILL* but never God.” No, God continually gives you another chance!!! VERY FEW PEOPLE WILL.

Many great people in the Bible made poor choices. Look at The apostle Paul. He started as a murderer, yet his purpose in life was more superior than his mistakes. He ended up becoming a fantastic mentor and leader, and he wrote over half of the New Testament.

Beloved, as we end another week and head into the weekend, I want you to know that your mistakes, your failures, your poor choices don’t have to keep you from your God-given destiny *PEOPLE WILL* but never God. God views things differently than people it’s not about the way you start out in life, it’s about the way you finish. Accept His grace today and welcome the positive future He has in store for you!!! Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the grace and mercy you’ve provided for me. I trust that you instruct my days. I ask that You reinforce and keep me encouraged so that I may continue to fulfill Your call on my life. I love You, and I’m always thankful that today I no longer do the immoral things I use to do nor listen to the pessimistic people that I use to surround myself. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen and Aaamen. ✝️❤️

Have a Gorgeous Friday and a Cautious and Wise Weekend, Everyone. ✝️❤️😊

  • “The Wisdom of Your Calling”

    1 26 2020 week 3 and 4 Bishop Houston's Sunday Morning Church Eph 1 18
Praise The Lord Everyone!!! Happy Sunday!!! ✝️❤️😊

In Ephesians 1:3-14 we find Paul announces the dedication of our salvation. In verse 18 he prays that we’ll understand those great truths, which he encapsulates in the phrase ” the confident hope he has given to those he called.”
The word “Calling” here describes God’s efficacious calling—the calling that liberates the soul. The scripture speaks of two types of calling: the gospel or universal call and the efficacious or precise call. The gospel call is given by men and is a common call to repent and trust Christ for salvation (*1). It goes out to every sinner but everyone that hears it doesn’t react in faith.
The efficacious call is given by God only to the elect. Those that are chosen God speaks to their soul, permits protective faith and leads select sinners into salvation (*2). Beloved, all who receive it react in faith.
The optimism in your powerful calling that inspires is built and justified on the foundation of God’s promises and Christ’s accomplishments (*3) and is exemplified by boldly anticipating yet unwearyingly expecting those promises to be implemented. It’s your hope of decisive veneration and of revealing God’s glory when Christ returns. (*4). It’s a resource of intensity and constancy during the trials of life (*5). And as a result, it should provide you with joy (*6) and motivate you to godly living (*7).
Have a Blessed Sunday Everyone. ✝️❤️😊
    Let Us Pray
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your redemption. This morning I ask that You continue to emphasize in my mind the blessings and assignments You have presented to me as I continue to live in expectation of Christ’s impending return. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Amen.
Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will enter our earthly room and blow out our candle. So, reach out and touch the ones that need your agape, dissolve the divisions among you, continue to encourage one another, be united in the same mind, the same reasoning and continue to build one another up.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a fantastic Sunday. ✝️❤️😊

  • “The Messenger’s Feet Are Beautiful”

    Monday 7 1 2019 Let Us Pray Isaiah 52 7
Praise the Lord Beloved!!! Happy New Month. 😀

This morning I’m starting the month of July encouraging everyone of you that share in the ministry by spreading the word of God to “KEEP ON KEEPING ON!!!” :-D. The eyes of God will never look past the messenger’s feet who took courage in proclaiming the Gospel. The places we go and the people we’ve talked to aren’t the reasons why we’re beautiful in God’s eyes. It’s the messages that we bring with us, the annunciation of the Gospel. The flow of blessings in our lives will not be terminate and the protection we’ve acquired won’t be negotiated. Though crisis may arise at times, God’s attention is upon us. We may go through issues and intemperate circumstances, but God will be with us.

Beloved, harassment may come, but God will not allow us to be put to shame, but His justice will prevail, and His people will delight in Him. Amen – Aaamen. 😀

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them,

BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a blessed Monday. 😀
  • “Becoming The Valiant Christian”

    Weekend Words Father's Day
Praise the Lord Beloved. It’s Friday!!! Let us rejoice and thank God for allowing us this opportunity to open up another morning.

You know Beloved, there are few things today that are as valuable as prudently selected words. Today we live in an environment where detractors and challengers are looking for reasons or justifications to be offended or upset. Today intrepid dialogue and pure, strong, and vibrant language has progressively evaporated.
But you know, this is nothing new to God’s people. God’s people aren’t protected from the trend of enforced interchange insolence. Many of us have felt the familiar pain of the injections from societal pressure that keeps us silent when we ought speak up, or round off our sharp edges of truth that cuts to the quick.
There are many of you craving to be courageous, pure, strong, and vibrant communicators of God’s Word, that have been virtually shut down often causing you to fall short.
Beloved, many of you (like myself) have been called to preach a gospel the world wants nothing to do with. We’ve been designated to be messengers of a message the world rejects and hates. At one time in my life I was constantly shut down, put down and repeatedly injected by enforced interchanged insolence. I prayed constantly asking God to help me cultivate the courage I needed to faithfully proclaim the truth and to fortify me against the societal, assembly – cliques and pressures that desires to keep me voiceless.
Beloved, as Christians we can’t be afraid of offending the world with the truth. “BUT”, don’t mistake that as an open door for disagreements or cavalier incivility. It’s not the work of the gospel if you’re looking to pick a fight. Instead, like John said, we need to cultivate a high view of Scripture, and take our boldness from our conviction that God’s truth alone can rescue sinners and save souls.
Beloved, this weekend, have confidence in the Word of God it’s the key to becoming the valiant Christian God desires us to be.

Have an up-lifting Friday and a wonderful weekend.
  • “The 2 Rs”

    Bishop Houston's Monday Morning Blog

You know Beloved, there are portions of the old Wilburn I don’t miss and don’t have intentions of reliving. I’ve had my share of struggles, like anyone in life, and I still have struggles.
Beloved, there are parts of all our lives we want to be lifeless and remain lifeless. Sure, we could sidestep certain circles, so the past doesn’t reappear.
Maybe you’ve dodged a family reunion or high school reunion because of this. Maybe you dodge certain towns or shopping centers because of whom you might bump into. Maybe one of these situation has recently happened to you. Maybe you found yourself in a circumstance that causes you to shield the new you because of the old you. Beloved, this is terrible and not the way God wants us to live!!!.
As I was reading Luke chapter 8, verses 1-3, caught my attention.
It said: Soon afterward he went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him, (2) and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, (3) and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s household manager, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their means. Those 3 verses hopped right into my spirit.
Beloved, Mary Magdalene was once demon possessed!!!. Sure, we’ve all read it, its been taught to us, and I’ve taught about her being demon possessed. But, as I looked closer at this verse, I feel that one of the reasons her demonic characteristic really doesn’t stand out with us is because she was never treated as one who had been demon controlled.
For many of us when it comes to our old life, it wasn’t just one demon, but several!!! None of us want to be the poster child of one being demon controlled. But if there was ever one back in Jesus’ day, it was Mary Magdalene!!!
Demon possession is something we don’t see much of in America, well, we don’t pay it much attention many don’t recognize it. But it’s real!! There maybe someone you know that you’ve stopped hanging with that are fighting real demons. Beloved, I’m very serious here about peopled being controlled by real demons. And It’s something you shouldn’t take too lightly either.
Now, allow me to ask you a couple of questions right here: *Are you praying for people in the battles they are fighting? **Are you willing to extend to people the gift of the 2 Rs repair or reconstruct to bring them into your circle with full trust?”
Many don’t focus on how severely demon-controlled Mary Magdalene was because she was never again treated as one who was demon controlled.
You see, if that’s how people REALLY saw her, why would God make her one of the first (THE FIRST) eyewitness of the empty tomb? In the Bible we see her running saying, “the tomb is empty!!!” That would be crazy!!! LOL!!! To treat her as old demon-controlled Mary would have led to saying, there goes crazy Mary again.” To run and say to people, “Hey you guys, I talked to an angel, a real angel, JESUS IS ALIVE!!!!” People would have easily said “Yeah, right Mary!!! An angel or is it one of your demons again? Come on Mary come back to reality.”
But instead, she was treated as someone that was made new by Jesus. Beloved, no human can be alive and dead at the same time. NO ONE!!! You’re one or the other.
I read Romans 6:4-11 when people ask me to baptize them:
We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. (5) For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. (6) We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
    (7) For one who has died has been set free from sin. (8) Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. (9) We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. (10) For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. (11) So, you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Beloved, if you said yes to a relationship with Jesus, then let the past be dead. Live the new (different) life that Christ offers. The past life only brought death, so why go back? You’ve been made new, you’re now living, so LIVE Your Life!!!
Beloved, do you know someone with a past? Remember, you have a past also? Do you treat them as you hope others would treat you? Or, are you someone that certain people want to avoid because you might bring up the past? Or because you might treat them as if the past is still the present? Can you see, how Christ is treating them regardless of their past?
Beloved, complete forgiveness, full fellowship and relationship with God will help repair or rebuild a demon-controlled brother or sister who wants to get rid of their old sin nature. We should act like Jesus.
Mary didn’t have to live spooked by her past. God put her in leadership positions. She was a vital part of what God was doing. She was the first woman to the tomb, she was at the cross, she was with Jesus as He was proclaiming the gospel. Jesus didn’t see her as a black sheep or hindrance to His message. In fact, she was made for the message because we serve a God of life change.
Have a blessed week Everyone. 😀
