  • “Do You Know Why You Follow Jesus?”

CHOF Ministry Expressions for Today Bishop Houston 3 26 2019

In Luke chapter 1 verses 4 & 5 Luke establishes the characters of Zechariah and Elizabeth as blameless “virtuous,” they were from an upright “outstanding” family, and well liked. Beloved, this is something as fellow Christians we would aim for because it’s pleasing to God and glorifies Him. But, despite the blameless and upright ways of Zechariah and Elizabeth, we see that they didn’t have a perfect and wonderful life.

Elizabeth was unfertile and they were growing old. Beloved, has there ever been a time in your life where you accomplished something and expected a certain outcome or blessing from God, but you didn’t get it? When I was younger and wasn’t walking by faith I have – and it was wrong!!! We don’t follow God and live an upright and blameless life to receive the blessings we think we deserve. We follow God and live an upright and blameless life to glorify our God. In 1 Corinthians 6:20 the Word says: “For you were bought with a price; therefore, glorify God in your body.”

Beloved, God has promised us certain things, and we can rest assured He’ll follow through.

Have a wonderful Tuesday Everyone. 😀

  • “An Identical Spirit”

Bishop Houston's Monday Morning Blog New Poster
    Praise the Lord Beloved!!!

    Happy Monday to you all.

You know, when you agree to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit makes His home inside of you. That’s the same identical Spirit and the same identical power that raised Jesus from the dead. That resurrection power can bring back your health, your strength and life to your physical body, and it can bring back life to your confidence and visions. In fact, it can bring life to any area that may seem undeveloped on the inside of you!!!

So, the next time you feel overcome by sickness, trials or hopelessness, remember, as a believer in Jesus, the same identical Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you!!! You may have been troubled by an addiction, distress, apprehension or illness, but there’s nothing that can stand against the power of God!!! So, today Beloved, intensify your intestinal fortitude and put a voice to faith: “He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. I am restored and healed because the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me!!!”

    Have a Blessed Monday Everyone.
