“Concentrating On The Bigger Picture”

You know, Beloved, I’ve found that many of the encounters and disputes we face are diversions from the adversary to prevent us from following our objective. Maybe someone in the department or agency you work in or for isn’t as welcoming or pleasant to you as you’d like. Perhaps you have a neighbor who always parks in front of your house and blocks your mailbox or hangs out outside your cubicle to hold their random conversations with other fellow employees. Those things may be irritating, but they have little importance when you look at it from the broader perspective – “eternity.” Beloved, you can’t permit the small issues to trigger discord in your life.David and Goliath is an excellent illustration. Just before David battled the giant Goliath, his brother Eliab tried to confront him. But David knew that squabbling with Eliab was senseless, and it didn’t merit his time or energy. He understood his actual confrontation was with Goliath, and he didn’t want to be distracted. He turned away from Eliab and kept his concentration on what he was informed to do.
Beloved, as we end this week and head into the weekend. Let’s follow the illustration set by David and stay focused on what’s more extremely vital in life. Instead of being escorted away by annoyances, let’s keep our eyes on the bigger picture. Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have an enjoyable Friday and a wonderful weekend, everyone.

“Change Your Focus!!!”

Hebrews 12:3 – Consider [Jesus] that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.Beloved it’s time to really start focusing because you’re in a time your very life may depend on you seeing what’s going on around you.Not long ago, the Lord showed me that a spirit of weariness is trying to work its way into our lives these days through all the pressure and bad news that surround us.It’s working to get our eyes off the Word of God by bombarding us with negative forces. It’s trying to get us to focus on defeat instead of focusing on Jesus.Beloved, if you continue to stop focusing on Jesus, your spirit man/woman will begin to lose his/her dominion. And the Word tells us what the results of that is. It says you’ll “be wearied and faint in your minds.”Jesus put it this way in Mark 4. He said that when the cares of this world enter into your heart and mind, they’ll choke the Word and cause it to become unfruitful. And since your faith is the product of the Word, that means your faith will wither. Once that happens, OH BOY- LOOK OUT!!! You’re headed for disaster. Now someone out there may be asking: Bishop Houston, “What can I do to stop this chain reaction of weariness?”WELL I’M GLAD YOU ASKED!!! 😀Change your focus!!! Get focused on Jesus. Get your eyes back on Jesus. I remember when I played sports (football, basketball, baseball) one of the things you learn is to keep your head up and your eyes on the player or the ball. As a running back when I saw a tackler lower his head to tackle me or an opponent trying to guard me take their eyes off me, – I got him!!! He’s no longer dangerous. He can now be very easily defeated. So, you need to stay focused.Keep considering Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Consider Him instead of the cares of this world. Consider what God says in His Word. Be moved by the thoughts of God. Let His thoughts become your thoughts.Beloved, change Your Focus!!! Get your eyes off the circumstances around you and onto your heavenly source. Don’t be afraid you’re going to lose everything. God is your source, He has all your resources, not the world. He can take care of you regardless of what happens around you.If you’ve gotten tired lately, begin to change your focus. Keep your eyes on the prize. God is in front of you. The crazy things that are happening on your job, in your family, in a relationship is the Devil trying to get your attention. Don’t let it!!! Stay focused on Jesus.Have a blessed Tuesday Everyone. 😀 -
“God’s Plan Blesses You”

Praise the Lord Beloved!!! Welcome to Wednesday’s CHOF Bible Fellowship.
Our focal CHOF Bible Fellowship verse this morning comes from 2 Timothy 1:9 (NLT) and it reads:
(9) For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time – to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.Beloved, if you’re talented, you may feel comfortable taking your talents into a nonspiritual or materialistic field. You see, talent, like justice, is visionless, it’ll seek all opportunities the same. But when you’re familiar with divine purpose, there are just some things that will not do because, they’ll defeat the purpose of God in your life!!! Being called according to purpose enables you to focus on the development of your talent as it relates to your purpose!!!
You see, whenever we bring our efforts into alignment with His purpose, we automatically are blessed. Our efforts must be tailored after the purpose of divine purpose. Everyone is already blessed. We often spend hours in prayer trying to convince God that He should bless what we’re trying to accomplish. Beloved, what we need to do is spend hours in prayer for God to disclose His resolution. When we do what God has ordain to be done we’re blessed because God’s plan is already blessed.
Beloved, God’s plan was designed with you in mind.
Have a Blessed Wednesday Everyone. 😀

Spiritual Focus”
Praise the Lord Beloved. Happy Friday and Happy Father’s Day Weekend. 😀Beloved determining to stay spiritually decent and in order is a choice not a command. But, when we honor the Lord by being spiritually upright, the Lord changes the way that believers decide on different occurrences that spring into their life.Beloved, your spiritual conclusion won’t always be favorable to many especially the carnal minded (worldly) people. So, as we approach this Father’s Day weekend, instead of following our carnal predispositions or compulsions, choose to seek God’s platform to look at every situation you may encounter. OH!!! And one other thing, rather than relying on other people’s advice or information choose to search scripture for confirmation on what you hear the Lord is saying to you. Eventually, you’ll get use to discerning the quiet voice of the Holy Spirit, and the voices of the world “will” weaken.Have a Blessed and Happy Father’s Day Weekend Everyone!!! 😀
