  • “Recognizing the Actual Adversary”

    11 24 2019 week 1 Bishop Houston's Sunday Morning Church Ephesains 6 12

Occasionally in the heat of fight (disagreement, argument), we might lose the focus on who the real enemy is.

Beloved, it’s important that you don’t mistake the prisoners of war with the adversary.

Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our struggle (fight) isn’t against sinful people, but against the evil system and the supernatural forces that influence their attitudes and actions.

In his attack on the kingdom of God, Satan has assembled a highly established army of fallen angels. In Ephesians 6:12 Paul categorized them as “rulers… powers… world forces of this darkness… spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” This isn’t a comprehensive explanation of Satan’s chain of command but a universal indicator of its world power and complexity.

It’s clear that “rulers” and “powers” are high – ranking demons. “World forces of this obscurity” are conceivably demons who penetrate a variety of diplomatic systems of the world, attempting to supervise human leaders to contradict God’s plans – this includes church leaders, family leaders, and employers. Daniel 10:13 gives us a great example with a demon called “the prince of the kingdom of Persia.” He resisted God’s angelic messenger to Daniel until Michael the archangel came to the rescue.

“Spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places” possibly refers to demons taking part in the most disgusting and twisted kinds of sins: blatant immorality, deliberate disobedience, occult practices, Satan worship.

Beloved, those who reject Christ and God are naïve prisoners of war–caught, imprisoned, organized, equipped and trained by the enemy to achieve his purposes. Sadly, when he’s done with them, he’ll leave them to an eternal hell.

You probably know a few nonbelievers and skeptics who enjoy laughing at you, making fun of your faith and making life difficult for you. Although that’s hard to take, be patient and don’t become embittered toward them. Ask God to make you an instrument of His love as you reach out to them. Also, pray that God will eliminate their spiritual impaired vision so they can see past Satan’s lies and acknowledge their need for a Savior.

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for delivering us from the domain of darkness and transferring us into the kingdom of Your Beloved Son. Father God, we’re asking You to use us today to break through Satan’s deception in someone’s life.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.

Beloved life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind may enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone you love and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Have a Terrific Sunday Everyone!!! ✝️❤️😊
  • Even the Demons Tremble”

    8 14 2019 James 2 18 20.png
Praise the Lord Believers in the Christian faith.

You know recently I’ve seen an alarming rise in the number of confessing Christians who believe that there’s no required relationship between what they believe and what they do. They say you can’t judge a person’s spiritual condition by what he or she does because salvation is a matter of faith alone, you know, as if requiring works violates the principle of faith.

But you know Beloved, it was that kind of perception that provoked James to issue this challenge “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds (works)? I will show you my faith by my good deeds (works).” (*1). The word “show” translated in the Greek means “to exhibit,” “verify,” or “put on display.” Beloved, his point is simple: it’s impossible to verify true faith apart from holy living because doctrine and deed (work) are attached – they’re inseparable.

Now, allow me to ask you a question – Can you know if someone is a Christian by watching his or her behavior? According to James, that’s the only way to know!!! In verse 19 he says, ” for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror.” In other words, confirming orthodox doctrine isn’t necessarily proof of saving faith. Demons believe in the oneness of God, and its implications fill them with fear terror, but they aren’t saved. 😀 The phrase “Good for you” is intentionally sarcastic. The implication is that demonic faith is better than non-responsive faith because at least the demons trembling, is better than no response at all.

Beloved, you can’t be a Christian in creed only!!! You must be one in conduct as well!!! James makes that very clear. Don’t be confused or deceived by those who teach something different. Repeatedly aim your life at bringing glory to God through obedient application of biblical truth.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a Delightful Wednesday.

  • “God Fixes And Then Flourishes”

    God Fixes and The Flourshes

    Genesis 50:20 (NCV)
“You meant to hurt me, but God turned your evil into good to save the lives of many people, which is being done.”

Beloved, God will fix your broken areas and then flourish you.

In this life you’ll encounter people that don’t have your best interest in their heart. You must be vigilant as well as stay prayed up, because the enemy (the thief, demon, evil one, destroyer) is maliciously clever.

These demons are disguised in many different costumes or regalia (family, co-worker, neighbor or ecclesiastical official or church participant). They’re prowling or waiting to disrupt or destroy your salvation and the blessings God has delivered to you.

Here are just a few of their characteristics:

    Demon #1
This demon loves to hide. It will smile with you, talk with you while in your presence, but doesn’t have your best interest at heart. When you’re not in its attendance this demon will verbally chop you up, cut you down and put the old proverbial knife in your back.

BEWARE of these types of demons. They will secretly destroy you.

    Demon #2
This demon is “VERY” crafty. It will create a scheme(s) that’s designed to keep your character disheveled. This demon will use your past calamities as a focal theme for its schematics. It will desire your loyalty as if it’s your friend, but returned loyalty isn’t in its DNA.

BEWARE of these types of demons. They’re structured to use what you have to offer them, then like a bee sting they’ll desensitize your salvation along with your integrity.

    Demon #3
This demon doesn’t hide or construct plans. It’s very audacious, charismatic and prideful!!! Because of its self-centered glow, its aura illuminates where ever it goes. It has the “up in your face – it’s all about me, and what I say goes” approach. This demon thinks it’s very shrewd, but it’s not. That’s because it’s very impetuous. This demon will get right in your face, throw shade, and has no respect for anyone.

Beware of these types of demons. Though it’s the easiest demon to see it’s the most lethal. Once it captivates you with its malevolent aura it becomes your god. You’ll become mesmerized by anything it says or does.

    Beloved, Beware!!!

    John 10:10 (AMP)
“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].”

    1 John 3:8 (AMP)
“The one who practices sin [separating himself from God, and offending Him by acts of disobedience, indifference, or rebellion] is of the devil [and takes his inner character and moral values from him, not God]; for the devil has sinned and violated God’s law from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.”

Once again Genesis 50:20 (NCV) says:
“You meant to hurt me, but God turned your evil into good to save the lives of many people, which is being done.”

Beloved, as the enemy lurks, keep the faith!!! Remember He promised us that He’ll never leave us or forsake us. The presence of God is a shadow with His chosen and delivered people. The Shadow of the Almighty will not desert us when we’re called to go down into Egypt (the world). You’re now under divine direction. God saw something great in you. This is the reason you were chosen or have been granted salvation. So, regardless of the activity of your enemy(s), the Lord will prepare you and prosper you.
