  • “You Have the Confidence, Knowledge and Strength”

Good Morning Beloved, Happy Friday to you all.

Beloved, if God is for you, who has the audacity to be against you?

So, stop acknowledging that “you’ll always have problems in this area. You can’t lose that weight. You’ll always be in a monetary crisis.” You must change your point of view. You’re not soft, beaten, or substandard. You’re full of “I CAN DO IT” power. The identical Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives inside you. Plug into that power. Greater is He that’s in you than “ANY” man, woman, bill collector, and problem that comes against you. You’re more than a conqueror.

Beloved as we end another week and prepare for the weekend, tell yourself confidently that now’s the time to start putting things under your feet. Stay focused on the word “tread” in today’s Scripture. One interpretation tells us that ‘tread’ means “to trample.” God has not merely put it under your feet, but He has equipped you with power, confidence, knowledge, and strength to be victorious. He has already supplied you. Beloved, if you’ll look at these impediments as being under your feet, as being already defeated, new confidence will rise. Your faith will trigger God’s power in a new way. ✝️❤️

    Let Us Pray
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me the power to tread on all force of energy of the enemy because Your Spirit lives in me. I have confidence that I can look down with faith and see my impediments as being steppingstones to elevate me. I’m more than a conqueror.
In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen, and Aaamen. ✝️❤️

Have a Pleasant Friday and a Wonderful Weekend, Everyone. ✝️❤️😊
  • “God’s Spiritual Stealth”

    12 16 2019 Philippians 1 6 God's Spiritual Stealth

Peace to all of you who are in Christ.

Beloved, allow me to ask you a question: “Have you ever prayed for God to adjust your heart?” You know, change your mind or attitude on something. Perhaps you asked Him to provide you insight, comprehension, or to educate you – give you greater detail about something in particular. Well, I sure have. 😊 there were times in my life I expected things to happen immediately, but then a week goes by and from my point of view nothing seemed to have changed. Well, this morning I want you to be encouraged!!!😊 Because God awards that form of prayer!!! One day you’ll look back at all God has instructed you about that issue or question and you’ll comprehend that He was working on your heart and that all along He was educating you without you seeing it. God’s Spiritual Stealth is always working. 😊

Beloved, transformation, and understanding come with time, so don’t be disappointed if you’re not where you want to be right now. Whether you recognize, understand it or not, God’s working!!! The Christian life is an expedition and this moment is only one tiny part of it. You can be confident when I say to you that He’ll finish the work He has started in you.

    Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

    Let Us Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, You’re a terrific teacher. Thank You for educating us in a way we’ll comprehend, whether we know You’re doing it or not!!! In Jesus’ name, I pray,
    Amen and Amen. ✝️❤️😊

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will enter our earthly room and blow out our candle. So, reach out and touch the ones that need your agape, dissolve the divisions among you, continue to encourage one another, be united in the same mind, the same reasoning and continue to build one another up.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a great Monday and a SENTIONAL week. ✝️❤️😊

  • “Mature, Develop and Produce”

Bishop Houston’s Morning Spiritual Stimulation Psalm 27 14.png
Praise the Lord Beloved, Happy Tuesday.

Beloved, have you ever been in a traffic jam when you’re hungry, tired and excited about getting home? Or have you ever experienced standing in line for hours and it never seems to be moving toward the counter? Almost in every moment of our life, it seems we’re somehow waiting for something. Waiting is one of the toughest things to do. In today’s culture, people want instantaneous results and swift replies to requests. While waiting for God’s answer, we can either be an inpatient or we can have confidence in His timing. God knows when the time is right and when we’re ready to receive. While waiting, He’s preparing us, testing our faith, and evolving our perseverance. It makes us dependent on Him and Him only. It can be difficult at times but it’s important that while waiting we learn to mature, develop and produce. 😀

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE – I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

    Have a blessed Tuesday. 😀
  • “Walk with Confidence in God”

Bishop Houston's Monday Morning Blog Picture Walk with Confidence In God
Praise the Lord Beloved – Happy Monday to you All. 😀

I hope each of you had a wonderful Resurrection Day.

Yesterday evening after a long day of Resurrection Day services, First Lady Donece and I finally got home and settled in our den and we began to reflect on the day’s events which led us into a conversation on education. As we talked about our different educational environments and eras, we both came to the same conclusion that we never thought that working on our Master’s degree would bring us confusion instead of clarity. This morning as I meditated on my morning scripture the Holy Spirit showed me the conversation with the First Lady. To me, walking by faith means keeping an open mind whatever may happen in my life. It isn’t that I have no personal goals, but having God direct my path. Proverbs 16:9 (AMP) says: A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them.

On the first day of postgraduate school, my class was asked to formulate a detailed plan regarding how to complete the two-year course. Basically, it was a form of encouragement and a guideline in order for us to finish up what we had started. Total commitment is essential regardless of what may occur. On my part, it was difficult to internalize because my thoughts are always; “not my will be done but Yours.” Realistically, it’s good to plan ahead. Oftentimes these plans will sound so perfect, we might tend to forget that God always knows better, Isaiah 55:8-9 does says: “for His ways and thoughts are higher”.

Beloved, confidence shouldn’t stem from being proud of our talents, how smart we are or how skillful we are, but rather emanate from an unyielding faith and trust in God that whatever His will for us is. We press forward and obey and walk with confidence in God and not by our personal ability.

Have a blessed Monday and an “Awesome” rest of your week.
  • “Optimism and Confidence with Love”

Weekend Words Optimism an Confidence with Love
Well the weekend is upon us once again. 😀 Happy Friday everyone. 😀

You know Beloved, optimism and confidence with love is a major component for a true Christian, because it’s what Jesus gives us. He brings us His love with each new day and strengthens us with that optimism and confidence. And the best thing about His love is it isn’t limited or controlled. He doesn’t give us a little bit now and a little bit later. It flows out of His heart freely and it’s poured unrestrained into ours. Romans 5:5 (NLT) says: “We know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love”. Verses 3-4 tells us He desires to use the hard times to develop perseverance and character and bring us a satisfying, hope-filled life, and verses 6-8 says even when we’re far from Him, He still loves us.

So this weekend Beloved, look for the signs of His optimism and confidence. The Lord gives optimism and confidence with love through inviting us to grow in a relationship with Him. Our optimism and confidence to have a gratifying life is anchored in His unfailing love.

Have a blessed Weekend Everyone. 😀
  • “How to have Confidence in God Completely”

    New Blog Picture

Beloved, I want you to visualize going to your favorite amusement park. You get on the rollercoaster, fastened in and just like that, nervousness grasps you. Your normal response is to improve your grip and reposition yourself to get some control, so you grasp the security bars tighter.

Or maybe you’re the one who keep your hands wide open and enjoy the experience.

Beloved, if you’re anything like me, you grip the security bar, close your eyes while tightening every muscle in your body while millions of thoughts of how to survive go through your mind. It’s in those moments I’m regretting I got on. But after it’s all over, I’m glad I did and want to go on again!!!
Beloved, this is an example of how we tend to live out our lives with God.
Either with a closed fist “wanting to be in control of all that’s happening out of fear”. This is nothing more than mere transitory security. Or, you have your hands wide open with no reservations of the unknown and no expectations, knowing that a Sovereign God has your life in His hands. And, has created all the threads and qualities of your life so complicatedly, like beautiful well-hung drapery.
While the prior example may seem to present the most comfortable situation, I can tell you that God is after the latter. He’s always after your faith!!!
Romans 8:28 tells us He works all things for your good!!!

    Romans 8 28

Beloved, God wants you to completely have confidence in Him.

While it’s easy to say you believe that God is Lord and you have faith in Him, He’s requesting you to also put your confidence in Him for all the complications you face in life.

    Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NLT) says:
7 “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. 8 They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

There’s one phrase that you’ll normally hear in most types of relationships is just trust me.”

As a Minister, I say that a lot to many people when I’m trying to get them to try something new that’s extraneous to them. As a Minister, I would never put my fellow followers in harm’s way or have them try something that would upset, wound, or offend them, it’s the reverse!!!

I want them to find gratification from this something new.
Beloved, it’s the same with God. He wants to do good to us, it’s His desire, while also transporting to Himself the honor He’s due.
Now, my question to you is: What Door(s) Are You Knocking On To Put Your Confidence In?
Not long ago, First Lady, Donece asked me to go to lunch with her. She wanted to take me to this fast food restaurant that didn’t serve the food I liked. I went back and forth with her trying to persuade her to select something we both liked. But because she knows me well, she knew that they had something that I would love despite my past experiences with this type of food. I finally gave in, and you know what? I ended up loving this specific sandwich she wanted me to try!!!

Beloved, all along she kept saying to me, “Just trust me.” You see, I thought I already knew what was best for me, so I wanted to regulate in other words “control” the situation.

This is what God is saying to us daily because He knows us!!!
He’s saying just to trust Him!!!
    Trust Him with our:
    • jobs
    • children/grandchildren
    • finances
    • marriage
    • family relations
    • school
    • health
    With absolutely everything!!! Without questions!!!

God is saying to you: “Stop holding on!!! Let Go!!! I Got You!!! Take hold of my hand and just trust Me!!!”

    Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) says:
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

    Proverbs 3 5 6

Now I must admit, this area is a little scary in terms of understanding this. The unidentified or strange can be startling!!!

But when the Lord reestablished my relationship with Him, that was one of the first and scariest things He had me do!!!
To surrender control and select to have faith over fear was the key. It was essential for my transformation. I wouldn’t be doing ANY of what I’m doing today without that step of faith.

Beloved, it absolutely was the best decision of my entire life.

Sure, I might have closed my eyes tight and turned my head back, but my hands were wide open.

Many of you know my past!!! I’m sure many of you are amazed at my transformation. Let me tell you from my life experience, God is able-if you allow Him to take control.

Beloved, is the cry of your heart, “God, have Your way?”
Or, are you still repudiating to let Him have complete control?
My question to you is, why are you so afraid to let go and let God?
There’s a song sung by the late Rev. James Cleveland called “I Don’t Feel No Ways Tired” the words of the song are awesome.

“I don’t feel no ways tired,
I’ve come too far from where I started from.

Nobody told me that the road would be easy,
I don’t believe He brought me this far to leave me.”

If you allow God to take control, He will not drop you off and leave you.

Let me tell you Beloved, even though at times countless methods of perceived trials come up against you, you may feel all alone or no one is paying attention to what’s going on in your life, just remember God is in control of everything that’s going on. Everything is at the mercy of God, and nothing can touch or overtake you without almighty God’s authorization or endorsement.

When your life is held in the palms of His hands, you have no reason to be frightened or stressed out. Allow yourself to get to that place where you say repeatedly, “I don’t believe You brought me this far to leave me.” Not because you know what your future holds, but because you serve a great God who does.

Now let me tell you right here, God won’t pry open your hands to receive His plans for your life. But, He’ll always accept the invitation if you let Him in.

Beloved, you must have complete confidence in God.

    Hebrews 11:1-2 (NLT) says:
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.

In the Bible, there was a former prostitute named Rahab who lived in a city that God commanded the Israelites to destroy and take over.
When Joshua and his men came into the city, terror gripped the people who lived there. But Rahab showed a significant amount of courage and faith. She didn’t know their God, but she heard about and His mighty acts. Instead of running, and showing terror, she risked her own life by hiding the two Hebrew spies in her home.
Beloved, it was her act of faith that allowed God’s plans to succeed, and her entire family was spared!!! Sure, she could have easily turned the men in or hardened her heart against this foreign God. She could have rejected them by just saying, “No.”
But she didn’t!!! She allowed her faith, her confidence to be bigger than her fear.

    Faith Bigger Than Fear.png

Little did she know that God had a great plan for her life!!!

Beloved, she was a woman shamed and looked down upon in society!!! But not in the eyes of God!!! He saw who she would become through His grace, mercy, and power.
God ended up blessing Rahab, and she became the great-grandmother to King David!!! And eventually, her name was written down in the actual lineage leading up to the birth of King Jesus!!!
Now, if Rahab was able to open her hands at that moment and trust an unknown God, then how much more can you trust a God that you do know?!!! 😀

    To God Be the Glory.
    Have a blessed week Everyone.

  • “Share Your Confidence in God”

    1 Kings 18:37-40

    Praise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀
Friday!!! Friday!!! Friday!!! The weekend is once again upon us.

You know Beloved, in contemporary Christian culture, faith is often considered a possession that affects just its “owner.” But because of our love for independence and self-sufficiency, we have, in many ways, lost the sense of community and outreach that many churches and ministries are meant to embody.

We live like little islands in our own “personal relationship with Christ.” But in reality, God wants our faith to influence others, both within and outside the church and ministry.
Elijah’s faith influenced the entire nation of Israel. By believing and delivering God’s message, he was an example to them in word and deed. When he asked the Lord to reveal Himself as almighty God, fire fell from heaven, and the people believed.

Beloved, this weekend let your motives go head-to-head with the world to draw the people back to the Lord. We usually think of “sharing our faith” with those who don’t know Christ, but our confidence in God can also encourage weak or wayward believers.

Likewise, those strong in faith can strengthen us when we’re struggling with doubt. There’s no uncircumcised circumstance on the face of this planet that can take your victory away from you.

Beloved, guard against living an isolated Christian life. Share your confidence in God’s faithfulness weekend. Your testimony could help others’ faith to grow.

Have a blessed weekend Everyone!!! 😀

Weekend Share your confidence in God

  • CHOF Ministry’s Word for Today

Beloved, there are three ingredients of faith: belief, trust, and confidence.

Mark 11:24 Amplified Bible (AMP) says:
24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.
