Probing For Spiritual Answers Do I Need To Go To Bible School To Preach
Bishop, Houston, I see many people men and women on the internet preaching, opening their church or ministry. I want to share the word of God, but some tell me I need to go to a bible college. Do I have to go to bible school to preach or teach God’s word?

An excellent question. Thank you for asking. ✝️❤️😊

    Answer:
Because of the cost to go to a Bible College or a Seminary, many have found social media sites are a free open source to share their religious and spiritual concepts. Now I think two essential questions anyone wanting to be a preacher or even go into ministry should be “what is my spiritual gift?” and “Am I doing this for self-promotion (look good)?”

I Corinthians Chapter 12 is a great chapter to read. It highlights the spiritual gifts. In this chapter, you’ll see that all of the Trinity is connected to the existence, wellbeing, and development of the church, and this is especially evident in the matter of spiritual gifts. You’ll also see in 1 Corinthians 12: 7 and verse 18, the Holy Spirit provides every believer one or more spiritual gifts. Then it’s the Word of God that will direct the believer towards where and how their spiritual gift activates the development and wellbeing of the church. It’s God the Father who regulates the degree of influence (success) that this gift and ministry will have.

Now to answer your question, No. And Yes if you’re going to be launched by a religious or spiritual edifice: religious or spiritual exchange, denomination, or tradition. I’ve watched, heard, and set up under great pastors that have never had any form of Biblical schooling, and they can bring down the house when they preach. But to get a detailed theological understanding a Bible-based seminary or Bible school is applicable. Some churches and ministries promote and launch from within after taking their concise training. If you decide that you want to allow your church or ministry to ordain, be sure that church or ministry is one that will do their best to help you discover and develop your spiritual gifts.

Now be very careful when it comes to churches and ministries that have ministers and preachers that think they own the church or ministry and will not correctly equip you for various reasons such as they’re afraid you’ll supersede them or you’re not in a particular financial grouping or your family affiliation is sub-par for the edifice. Set up under someone that will minister to others as he or she equips you for ministry.

    Praise The Lord Beloved!!! ✝️❤️😊

    This morning’s question was:
Bishop Houston when I was at home, my parents made us go to church. In my twenties, I slowed down, attending church. I’m in my mid-thirties married with children, and I want to go to church more consistently, but my spouse won’t let me go. Can you give me some advice?

Thank you for your question. And sure, I’ll assist you with some suggestions. 😊
    Answer:
First, let me say, your aspiration to be a committed member of a local church is excellent. It’s a part of our new-found spiritual life in Christ that gives us the yearning to serve the Lord.

But complications can occur in a home where one spouse chooses to serve God enthusiastically, and the other doesn’t. It’s always complicated when there’s no agreement on an issue of significance to one spouse or the other. The impulse may be to give up and quit.

But quitting isn’t the answer. That’s just what Satan wants. He realizes your family could become one of his harshest adversaries, and he’ll try to demolish it rather than let that transpire. Contemplating separation, divorce, or abandoning your family in any way isn’t a choice for the believer who chooses to do God’s will. So, don’t battle with your spouse. Battle your real enemy. Begin envisioning your family working for the Lord together in a powerful way and stand on the verse I use for my house – Joshua 24:15, “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Now, that doesn’t mean for you to lay down the old holier than thou or religious attitude. Just communicate it. In other words, show it. Your family is designed to be incorporated in the call God has for your life and the job you believe He wants you to do. God doesn’t break up families for the work of the ministry. Marriage and family life were God’s concept, and He wants us to respect our marriage vows and take care of our families (*1).

As long as your spouse wants to stay with you, it’s your opportunity to easily walk in the love of God and show by your illustration how fantastic it is to be a Christian (*2). Find all the scriptures on love and meditate on them. Keep in mind 1 Corinthians 13:8 “love never fails.” In other words, you have to create the charisma and spiritual characteristic that parallels the feature “to walk in love.” It’s a huge task, but in Jesus, it can be accomplished!!! CHOF & BWFHJr Ministry is, praying for you, believing, and celebrating with you. Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

  • “The Name Above All Names”

Beloved, everyone wants to make a name for themselves.

    Focal Verse:
    Genesis 11:4 (NLT)
Then they said, “Come, let’s build a great city for ourselves with a tower that reaches into the sky. This will make us famous and keep us from being scattered all over the world.”

  • “The Truth Will Shield You”

Monday 8 26 2019 Let Us Pray Ephesians 6 14Praise the Lord Believers in the Christian faith.
Happy Monday to each of you.

Beloved, one of the most vital parts of the armor of God is the belt of truth. Its importance lies in its key function – to secure or attach. Without the truth, things slip into disorder or confusion. There would be misconceptions, misunderstanding; wrong viewpoints, the wrong perceptions eventually leading to bad choices. It’s the truth that clears up misunderstandings and uncertainties. That’s why the truth has led us to salvation and freedom according to what Jesus says in John 8:32. This morning’s verse tells us that we should fasten the belt of truth. It means that we should allow it to stick to us. Beloved, let’s not allow ourselves to be deceived by false teachings and beliefs. The Bible is the source of truth that we must learn from as well as God’s Church/ministry so that we have a direction to distinguish the lies from the truth. The truth permits us to draw closer to God. Amen? 😀 Aaamen. 😀

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE – I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have an Exciting Monday.

  • “Paul Vs. Apollos?”

Bishop Houston Thursday Morning Post 8 1 2019 Prosperity
    1 Corinthians 3:4-6 (AMP)

You know Beloved, division is a fleshly desire that reshapes us. It restructures us mentally, emotionally and in some cases financially. Many churches and ministries are very notorious when it comes to division. They’ll look at a church or ministry that may be less prosperous or smaller and look down on the edifice. For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not characterizing yourself from a fleshly – carnal platform? 😀 Beloved, WHO THEN IS PAUL, and WHO IS APOLLOS? They were ministers that each follower chose to believe. Didn’t the Lord give to each one? 😀

One Planted, One Watered – but it was God who gave the increase. So, then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

So, it doesn’t matter who’s more affluent or who has more followers. We’re all Christians and serve one God who doesn’t divide the good from the good but blesses accordingly.

Beloved, as believers in Christ we’re God’s fellow workers – you’re God’s field, you’re God’s building.” Let us be mindful we walk “TOGETHER” with the spirit of God inside us and not the fleshly, carnality of men or women.

    Monday 6 17 2019 Let Us Pray Nehemiah 4 6
Happy Monday Everyone. I hope you had a blessed Father’s Day Weekend.

Now, allow me to give you a little history here about this morning’s Bible verse. The Babylonian kingdom defeated Israel and relocated the Israelites throughout the kingdom. Jerusalem was over-thrown. The walls were demolished. Then the Persians took over the Babylonians. Now, here’s where Nehemiah comes in. He found out about the condition of Jerusalem and was overwhelmed with sorrow. He got the Persian king to let him go to Jerusalem to reconstruct the wall, but he faced hostility. However, Nehemiah had God on his side. He told those that were still in Jerusalem why he was there, and they went to work. Leaders, perfume makers, goldsmiths, and merchants were just some of the people who donated to reconstructing the wall.
Beloved, God didn’t find the best craftsmen and creators. He used the people who were accessible – reachable. They were motivated to work because they had something great to work toward. This is an awesome picture of the church/ministry. When we have a goal to get something done, we can do it “together”. We shouldn’t hate on one another especially when we’re focused on the same cause or being about our Heavenly Father’s business. We don’t need to be the best at anything, but if we give our best God can use it to do astonishing things that we never would have thought possible. Amen? – Aaamen.
Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.
Our ministry continues to grow. God has truly been good to us!!! We thank each and every one of you for helping to make this possible. And be sure to like, share, or forward this on to a friend so we can “Together” continue to spread God’s word.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! And have a blessed Monday Everyone. 😀
  • “A Tree Planted By The River – This Too Shall Pass”

Bishop Houston's Monday Morning Blog Picture A Tree Planted by the River This too shall pass
Good Morning Beloved Happy Monday to you.

You know Beloved, there are many people that will try to do things that they’re not skilled or trained in because it looks good. But the evidence that they’re not called shows in range of skill or ability.
Eventually, they become discouraged when it becomes a struggle to do those things. That’s because it’s not what they’re called to do. Unfortunately, they’ll eventually become dispirited. Then, they’ll move beyond discouragement to being critical and mount up attacks on the people and the position that are called or elevated. That’s because the dispirited person hasn’t discovered what they’ve been called to be or do.
Beloved, if you’re over a church, ministry, school, job, or anything that’s transformative by nature, don’t allow your system to be damaged or destroyed by a discouraged or wounded spirit. Stand strong like the tree planted by the river and this too shall pass.
    Have a blessed week Everyone.
