    As we embark on a new week, it’s all too easy to become entangled in the forthcoming challenges and stressors. Our minds tend to latch onto the negative—deadlines looming, conflicts arising, or personal battles we’re facing. Yet, Apostle Paul urges a radical shift in focus—towards the true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable aspects of life, in Philippians 4:8.

    Choosing positivity is not mere naivety; it’s a powerful stance against the tide of negativity. It’s about recognizing the beauty in the mundane, the potential in apparent dead ends, and the light in the darkest of times. Imagine reapproaching a past challenge not with dread but with optimism.     Today, let’s ponder on the destructive power of envy and the beauty of embracing our unique paths. In a world inundated with social media highlights and success stories, it’s almost instinctive to fall into the comparison trap, measuring our progress against others. However, this only breeds discontentment and a sense of inadequacy. 🌱

    The wisdom from Proverbs 14:30 invites us to seek tranquility in our hearts, serving as a reminder that the only true competition we have is with ourselves. Cultivating gratitude for our journey, regardless of how it compares to others, nurtures our spirit and bolsters our health. 🌺

    John emphasizes the foundational truth of our faith: our sins are forgiven through Christ. This forgiveness marks our acceptance into God’s family, irrespective of our spiritual maturity. 🌟

    🗣️Bishop Houston’s Contemplation:
    In the journey of faith, distinguishing between our ‘stage’ of spiritual growth and our ‘standing’ before God is crucial. When the Apostle John refers to us as “dear children,” he reminds us of our nascent stage in spiritual life—akin to toddlers learning to walk. This imagery speaks volumes about our vulnerability to falls and failures. Yet, these stumbles do not reflect our belonging or value in God’s eyes. Our standing, secured by Christ’s redemptive work, remains unshaken, affirming our identity as God’s redeemed, regardless of our growth stage. 🚶‍♂️💫

    The devil, however, schemes to blur this distinction, casting doubt upon our salvation with every fall. It’s imperative to remember that sin impacts our growth, not our godly standing. Like using a calculator’s “clear entry” button, repentance and Christ’s blood enable us to correct mistakes and continue in grace. This divine grace is not just a one-time judicial act of forgiveness at new birth but a continual relational cleansing that fosters growth. Let’s embrace this grace anew, allowing it to propel us from spiritual infancy towards maturity without losing sight of our secure position in God’s family. 🌺📈

    Praise the Lord Believers in the Christian faith.

    Beloved, God has many great things in store for you!!! He has so much favor that’s impending in your future like you’ve never thought could happen. He wants to do things for you that you’ve never even imagined. But for us to participate or receive any of these blessings, we have to expand the horizon of our mental receptors. Now give this a thought: if you have a piggy bank that only holds twenty-five dollars, and someone has 100 dollars to give, the problem isn’t with the supply or supplier. The problem is that you don’t have the capacity to receive 100 dollars. But if you get rid of that small piggy bank and get something bigger, then you’ll be able to accept more. It’s the same way with God. If we think we’ve reached our capacity, the problem isn’t that God doesn’t have the resources or the ability — the problem is that our container is too small. We have to expand our vision and make room for the new things God has for us. Our mentality should be, “Yes, my finances are down, and my bills are still coming in, but I know God is still on the throne. I know anywhere I go; His blessings and mercy follow me.”

    Beloved, when you have that kind of mentality, you’re expanding the horizon of our mental receptors to receive so that you can live the copious life He has in store for you. Amen? Aaamen. 😀

    CHOF Ministry’s Mid-Week Prayer:
    Dear Heavenly Father, today I choose to believe and expand my receptors to receive from You. I release “all” the limited thinking and old mindsets and choose to meditate on Your word. I open myself to everything You have in store for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.

    Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE. – I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a “Happy” Wednesday. 😀

  • “We Are Children of The Light”

    Praise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀

    Happy Monday to Everyone.

    I like gardening. I like to look out and see the colorful leaves that bud, and I enjoy watching the plants develop to maturity. I thought about making a little garden in our backyard. But, because it has a park-like setting its mostly shade and not suitable for plants that need full sun. So, it would be useless to buy the seeds plow the soil to plant. It would not be a problem caring for and cultivating my garden, but the plants wouldn’t be happy in my back yard. My care and attention wouldn’t be enough. You see, they would need sunlight, which I cannot provide. I thought about creating an alternative to generate something for the lack of light that would bring the attention the plants would need.  But, for some plants it doesn’t work that way. Some plants need what they need. And so, do people.

    Beloved, although we can survive for a while in less-than-ideal conditions, we can’t thrive. You see, in addition to our basic physical needs, we also have spiritual needs that can’t be met by any substitute.

    The scripture says that believers are children of light. Psalm 89:15 (NLT) says: “Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord.” This means that we need to live in the full light of God’s presence to thrive. Ephesians 5:11 (NLT) says: “Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.”

    Beloved, if we try to live in darkness, we’ll produce nothing but “fruitless deeds”. But if we’re living in the light of Jesus, the Light of the world, we will produce the fruit of His light, which is good, faithful, and true.
    Please pray with me this morning’s prayer:
    Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for redeeming me and giving me new life. Help me to continue to live as a child of the Light.

    In Jesus’ Mighty Name I pray, Amen.
