  • “Live Happy – Age Doesn’t Matter”

This Week Probing For Spiritual Answers Question Live Happy Age Doesn't Matter

    Praise The Lord Beloved!!! ✝️❤️😊

    This Morning’s Question is:
Bishop Houston, I want to revive my life. I want to be happier. What do
    you suggest?

Thank you for your question, it’s a great question. 😊

    Answer:
Beloved if you’re bored or just plain old exhausted of living the same old way, Jesus has the answer. Jesus didn’t liberate you so that you could be miserable, unhappy, sick, and tired of being sick and tired. He came so you could have “life, and – have it more abundantly” (*1).

I’m a late bloomer when it comes to enjoying a qualified quality life. But it wasn’t until I entirely turn my focus toward God that my abundance of joy came into fruition. Then the 2nd love of my life was introduced to me my First Lady, my wife, Donece. I’ve been celebrating the joy and the blessings of God for many years now. It doesn’t matter if you’re 19 or 90 you can start experiencing an abundant happier life also.

Here’s several spiritual help tips for you:

    1. Once you focus on God, stay focused so that you can continue to develop spiritually. You see, as a Christian, you shouldn’t just retain the faith you’ve established in the past. You must keep increasing in your relationship with God. It’s not spiritually healthy for you to get so engaged with the monotonous everyday activities of living that you get self-satisfied. Being complacent introduces boredom. You should instead, plunge deeper into your Bible. More profound biblical research grows the spirit. Join a Bible study group or start your own with people that view the same spiritual principles as you. I have a tremendous Spiritual Facebook Group “CHOF Ministry’s Spiritual Assembly Group; this is “Where Your Voice Counts.” We’re not a mega member group, but we do have over 4,000 members. You can share or listen. Mark 16:15 (AMP) says: And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Romans 10:17 (AMP) says: So, faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ. We’d love to have you join us!!! ✝️❤️😊

    2. You must pay attention to the Holy Spirit. Beloved, the Lord will communicate with you through your biblical studies. He’ll also talk to your spirit directly as you pray and listen. You must devote time to pray every day—not just talking, but also pay attention to what God has to say to you too. Obey whatever the Lord leads you to do. Believe me, if you’ll listen, the Holy Spirit will oversee you all through your day (*2).

    3. Something else that’s vital, you must extend yourself. As you discover and understand more about the Lord and His Word, you need to contribute to God’s goodness with others. As you grow you’ll find yourself looking for ways you can be a blessing to others. I do a lot of spiritual volunteer work, but you can delegate your time at a hospital, nursing home, food bank, animal shelter, or even children’s outreach. Most people who volunteer feel more attached and happier. If you pray every day, God will start to lead you to do things that will bless others.

    4. It would help if you learned how to speak life. In other words, you must pay attention to what you’re saying and how you’re addressing a situation. You can start by expressing terms of faith about your life, body, family, marriage, job, and finances. Replace speaking pessimistic and destructive words that tear yourself and others down, talk about the Word over everybody, and everything.

When a complicated or challenging situation occurs, don’t go back and forth with the grim particulars. Pray about it, find scriptures to stand on for it and declare Philippians 4:19: “My God shall supply all my need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” ✝️❤️😊

    5. It would help if you implemented forgiveness in your life. You see, as a believer, love is your grandest commandment. If you’re not walking in love, you’re in a dangerous place. If you’ve done anything unloving toward someone, do whatever the Lord shows you to do to make it right!!! Also forgive them for whatever they’ve done toward you or your situation!!! It doesn’t matter what they did!!! If you forgive them, you’ll be free of it. Beloved, let me tell you right here right now – “UNFORGIVENESS WILL KEEP YOU IN BONDAGE.”

Beloved, I know this was pretty lengthy, but God wants you to enjoy your life in Christ, and He’s allowed me to provide you with some helpful ways for you to begin doing just that—starting with the things I’ve outlined above. As soon as you put them into practice, your joy begins…no matter what your age. Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

  • “The Name Above All Names”

    Focal Verse:
    Genesis 11:4 (NLT)
Then they said, “Come, let’s build a great city for ourselves with a tower that reaches into the sky.
This will make us famous and keep us from being scattered all over the world.”

Summary: Beloved, in our society today it’s about “The Brand, and The Image.
Everyone wants to make a name for themselves.

  • “Stop Think and Reflect”

    11 13 2019 Romans 6 1 3
Praise the Lord happy mid-week to you.

In Romans 6 you’ll find Paul starts the chapter asking a few questions. This was not by coincidence. In fact, Paul’s entire letter to the Romans is filled with questions. (In the NKJV, I counted 75 questions in Romans!!!) Paul knew the impact questions could have. In many of my devotions and inspirational writings, I’ll ask questions as well. I’ve been asked many time why I ask questions in my sermons and in my writings. Well “for me” I insert a question or questions to shift the stream of my sermons, teachings, and writings to help make the words come alive for my readers and listeners. I believe whenever we read a question, we should feel challenged – tested. I’m trying to inspire my readers and listeners to stop, think, feel, imagine and consider the issues and how they might react or reply.

If you look closely at Paul’s writings, you’ll see the impact his questions have throughout his ministry. Questions were central to what he wrote about the Lord’s Supper, allow me to give you an example from 1 Corinthians 11:22: “Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this?” Beloved, each question offers an opportunity for readers to answer Paul for themselves and think about the issues he discusses.

You’ll find Jesus frequently used questions. The Old Testament also is packed with questions, presenting opportunities for us to think about what has been said. Although not a question. The word “Selah” is used over 70 times in the book of Psalms, inspiring us to take a brief break and reflect.

Beloved, as you read your Bible or daily devotions, remember to think about the questions asked. How you would respond, and what is the deeper meaning for you? Amen? Aaamen. ✝️❤️😊

    CHOF Ministry’s Mid-Week Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father help me to stay sensitive and responsive to the questions You ask me. I want to continue to be taught so I can remain mature as a believer. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Aaamen.

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE. – I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a “Wonderful” Wednesday. 😀

  • “To Know Him Is to Love Him”

Bishop Houston's Full Purple Shirt To Know Him Is to Love Him
Beloved, do you think God loves you? You know as a Christian, you can mentally understand God’s love for you without actually sensing it. In fact, the opposite can be true as well – you may say you love God, but in actuality in the back of your mind your feelings for Him are partial.

There are an assortment of motives or explanations that a Christian might not feel love from God or affection for Him, some of which stem from an experience during childhood. Maybe love was missing in the home, or maybe it just wasn’t articulated verbally or established in practical ways. A person’s disposition could also be part of the equation – some people are naturally easier to talk to while others are more reserved in their reactions or interactions.

Even though the inconsistency between knowledge and experience can be difficult, there’s hope. Sitting back and thinking on all the ways God has established His love for you, and asking Him to help you see it, will give you the opportunity to start the movement of truth from your head to your heart. You must remember that love is God’s very nature (*1), it’s not something you train or condition yourself to perform. If you’ve been adopted into His family through faith in His Son, God has chosen to profligate kindness on you in Christ. Trusting and accepting that you’re loved by God will in turn affect your emotional state for Him.

Beloved, obligate yourself to knowing Him more intimately and truthfully through His Word, and your love for Him will begin to grow. As you spend time with Him in Scripture and prayer, you’ll discover that the saying “to know Him is to love Him” is unquestionably true of God.

    Sunday’s Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, we truly want to apply all of our desire and love for You. Help us to see and understand the thing that are missing so that we may correct them. We want to know You and love You without any doubt – regardless of the storms we may encounter.
In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen and Aaamen. 😀

  • “A Genuine Supporter and Friend”

Tuesday 7 15 2019 Let Us Pray John 5 7Shalom Aleichem Believers in the Christian faith.

You know Beloved, I can’t count the many times in my life I’ve been in the same situation the man in this morning’s Bible verse was in and at times those conditions still occur. There are times in my life when I can’t complete projects no matter how hard I try. Many times, all I need is a little bit of support, some information or assistance, a friendly word or a smile that inspires.

Beloved, people need supporters – friends. Like that man from the Bible. He needed someone to help him get into the pool, he couldn’t do it alone, and he didn’t have anyone. There are many of you who have family and friends that support you. I’m speaking of the family and friends who are always there to help or support. You know I’m asked to help or support all kinds of things from family issues or plans to other friends and ministry issues and plans, but most of the time I’m on my own. The good thing is that there’s one special supporter – friend that will never fail me or you – our Lord Jesus Christ. He’s always there to give me a helping hand, an encouraging, inspiring supportive word for needed directions and information.

Beloved, He’s the one that put me into my pool and if you need someone that’s closer than a brother or sister, He’s a genuine supporter and friend that will stick by you through thick and thin. He’ll never turn His back on you, and He doesn’t have any hidden agendas. Sometimes He does it through others, sometimes through little phenomena that’ll come out of nowhere, but you can always be assured He’ll be there and be there right on time too.

    Shalom

Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a Terrific Tuesday. 😀

  • “Intestinal Fortitude”

Wednesday 4 17 2019 Let Us Pray Bible Verse Intestinal Fortitude James 1 1 3
Praise the Lord Beloved, Happy Wednesday to Everyone. 😀

You know when I think of the word intestinal fortitude, I think of getting through something tough – unpleasant. The kind of intestinal fortitude the Lord wants is when we trust Him with a joyful heart (mind and emotions). We know that He’s faithful always, without fail. We need to wait eagerly as though we already know His promises have come true. Now, that doesn’t mean that storms in this life won’t come. There’s a reason for every event in your life. He gave you certain aptitudes, benefits, and character traits to prepare you to do what He has called you to do. When you start looking at life through the lens of carrying out the specific purpose that the Lord assigned to you, life becomes a lot less complicated and a lot clearer. You’ll stop drifting on the waves of doubt, “uncertainty” and instead stay anchored in assurance. Storms are a certainty in this life. Sheltered under His mighty wings, we wait for the storm to come and go. We stay joyful, optimistic, encouraged inspired, relentless. We don’t change just because our circumstances do or what people tell us to do. Our God doesn’t change, so we’re to stay steadfast too.

    Amen? – AAAmen!!! 😀

“Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will past through our window and blow out our lights here on earth.

So today, reach out and let those you love know that you love them.
BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE, TOO LATE.”

    I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Have a blessed Wednesday Everyone. 😀
  • “A Loyal Friend That’s Always There”

Thursday 11 2019 Let Us Pray A Friend That's Always There
Praise the Lord Beloved. Happy Thursday. 😀

You know, I’ve been thinking a lot about this verse lately. There have been times in my life when I cannot complete my goals no matter how hard I try. Very often, all I need is a little bit of help, some intelligent advice, a loyal friendly word or a favor. People need loyal friends. Like that man from the Bible. He needed someone to help him get into the pool, he couldn’t do it alone, and he didn’t have anyone. Blessed is the one that has loyal human friends who are always there to help, but most of the time I’m on my own. The good thing is that there’s one special loyal friend that will never fail us, our Lord Jesus Christ. He’ll always be there to give us a helping hand. He’s the one that will, “put us into our pool.” Sometimes He does it through others, sometimes through little miracles, and we can always be confident He’ll loyally be there.
    Amen-AAAmen. 😀

  • The Word of God – Living and Active”

Bishop Houston Mid Week The Word of God Living and Active
    Hebrews 4:12 (AMP)
*12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Beloved, you’ll never regret the time you spend reading God’s Word. It’s full of optimism that encourages our hurting soul. Just as when the disciples began to feel sad because Jesus told them that He would be away from them in a little while. He was speaking about going back to the Father after His mission. He spoke encouraging words to them to lift their discouraged faces.

Beloved, God doesn’t want to see us dispirited. There are many times we’ll get so preoccupied by the things of this world and when we fail to achieve something, we somehow get upset. Our hearts (mind and emotions) become disturbed. Remember whatever it may be that weighs you down, believe in God. Remember, He has solutions in store for you. Don’t let anything or anybody trouble your hearts, keep the faith in Christ and He’ll take care of your problems.

    “To God Be The Glory
  • “I’m On the Battlefield for My Lord”

New Monday Morning Blog 2 Timothy 21 through 4

Praise the Lord Beloved!!! What a joy to be able to celebrate with you the pronounced eve of Jesus’ birth. As we enter the heart of the holiday season let us all remember the great men and women that are away from their families serving our country far and wide during this holiday season. They are our heroes.

This morning I read a passage from Paul’s letter to Timothy. And in the passage (2 Timothy 2:1-4), the Apostle Paul encourages the young Timothy (and his inspiration is passed on to every believer today), to face difficulty as a good soldier. Now, the military term “soldier” implies that we’re in a battle. And in fact, the combat started before Adam and Eve’s lifetime.

Beloved, almighty God created all the celestial beings and it was He that allowed Satan and other angels (subsequently became known as “demons”) to rebel (mutiny) against Him. They established their own kingdom and waged war with the Lord. And as we see today this conflict has been extended to all humankind. It was in the Garden of Eden, Satan tempted Eve to violate God’s command by eating forbidden fruit. Her disobedience corrupted mankind’s innocence, and ever since, all human beings have been born with a nature bent away from the Lord and with a profound need for a Savior.

Jesus, tempted by Satan in the wilderness, exhibited for us an awesome demonstration how to be victorious in spiritual conflict “by means of Scripture”.  You see, God’s Word gives us everything we need to win, from offensive and defensive weapons “Eph. 6:10-17” to the proper perspective on our adversaries’ real identity…” Verse 12 “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the . . . spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Beloved, when we see ungodliness in our society, the Enemy may at times seem to be winning. Yet we who are saved have a guaranteed oath that we belong to Him who is greater, and who’ll have the final victory “1 John 4:4; John 16:33”.
Beloved, as we go through this Holiday week, for some people, there’ll be battles. Let us all view our daily battles biblically and look to God, who is mightier than all evil.

Have a blessed Monday and a splendid Holiday week Everyone.

  • “Unka Burnie Speaks – Get Somewhere”

Unka Burnie Speaks- Standing in the Gap

    “Unka Burnie Speaks”

Beloved, this morning, I must fulfill my spiritual obligation to stand in the gap for those that are too weak, those that are confused and those that are being overwhelmed by some kind of tactical maneuver. I’m joining forces with their “FAITH” to stand up, step out, and take charge in their spirit and demand the fear they’re facing leave them immediately.

RIGHT NOW IN THE NAME OF JESUS, FAITH IT’S YOUR TIME!!! STAND UP, STEP TO THE FRONT AND SHOW OUT!!! FEAR – GET SOMEWHERE!!! INTIMIDATION- GET SOMEWHERE!!! ALL ANXIETY- GET SOMEWHERE!!!

IN THE NAME OF JESUS – FEAR LEAVE THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE WOUNDED AND SUBMERGED!!!
