For the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.Praise the Lord Beloved.
You know, I have found too often that we ask God to repair the complications around us when what He really wants to do is solve the issues within us. A few years ago, I did this trying to lose weight. I prayed and prayed and prayed for God to help me lose weight. But all I experienced was constant disappointment. I would literally lose 20-25 pounds, but regain every pound right back again.Then one day, I made a strong decision. I told God, “I’m not going another step toward losing weight until I find out how to properly handle this weight issue!!!” Then I went on a fast. I closed myself away from everyone, because I was determined to hear from God.
Beloved, during that fast the Lord revealed the real source of my problem. He showed me that I wanted to lose weight, but I didn’t want to permanently change my eating habits. I was like an alcoholic who wants to be able to drink constantly and not be affected by it. I wanted to eat full meals all day and get my weight down to 230!!!
Beloved, all of a sudden it hit!!! God wasn’t satisfied about me simply getting rid of those extra pounds on the outside of me. He wanted me to get rid of the sin of gluttony on the inside of me. So, I repented of that sin right then and there.
And, it wasn’t until then that I realized just how hard it is for a man/woman who drinks or have other addictions to face the fact that he/she are an alcoholic or addict. It hurts to admit something like that. So, instead of asking God to deliver me from my weight problem, I asked Him for deliverance from my food problem.
And sure enough, He did it.
Beloved, if your prayers don’t seem to be changing the problems around you, maybe it’s time to take a look inside. Maybe, your issue could be inside your heart
Beloved, it might be time to ask God to go to work on the issues inside your heart.

Would your daily activities and attitudes in every condition be any different, if you knew beyond any doubt, that success lies ahead just because you’re one of God’s favorites? Would you find the courage to lay down your apprehensions and uncertainties?ÂOF COURSE, YOU WOULD!!!I have some Good News for you today Beloved!!!!Believe it or not, you already have God’s favor each and every day.ÂYou know Beloved, many Christians believe they must somehow earn the favor of God, but the truth is, we already have His favor. God saved us because of His favor toward us.ÂIn Ephesians 2:8 it tells us: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God”.ÂWhat the verse above is literally saying is, grace is favor.ÂBeloved, God’s favor is the power that changes things for us. You see, first and foremost, you and I are saved by His favor, and I’m not just talking about going to heaven when we die. To be saved means to be delivered, protected, preserved, healed and made whole. This process happens before we die.ÂGod’s favor covers every area of our lives!!! By His favor, He has taken care of everything we will ever need “spirit, soul, and body”. His supernatural grace is so massive, the Bible says it’s going to take all the ages to come for Him to show us all the riches of His grace in the kindness He’s given us in Christ Jesus.ÂNow, there maybe someone reading this and saying:Bishop Houston, I can’t wait until I get to heaven so that I can experience the fullness of God’s favor!!!ÂAnd you know, you’re right!!! Beloved, you don’t have to wait!!! God is pouring out His favor on us right here and now. Even before we were born again, He was giving us His favor. While we were still rebelling against Him, Romans 5:8 says: “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners”.ÂBeloved, it was God’s grace at work in your life that enabled you to be born again. From the moment, you stepped into that new life, the moment you made Jesus Lord, God’s favor began working nonstop on your behalf.ÂYou see, being born again was just the starting place for His favor to pour out. And He’ll pour out grace and more favor to you every moment of your life if you’ll receive it!!!ÂPsalm 5:12 says, “For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor, You will surround him as with a shield”. Now, that scripture is talking about the born-again child of God who serves Him. (Not the SOMETIMIE” Christian)!!! Beloved, it’s talking about you, “The 24/7 I’M GOING TO BE OBEDIENT, SERVE YOU REGARDLESS OF WHAT TILL I DIE CHRISTIAN!!!ÂBeloved, it is Jesus who made you righteous. When Jesus shed His blood, He made righteousness available to all mankind, and with it came the favor of God!!! God’s favor surrounds you constantly!!! You have been born again into His righteousness.ÂBeloved, we should always see ourselves wrapped in God’s favor 24 hours a day. Every morning when you get up, throw off the covers and jump out of bed saying, “I am righteous. Lord, Your favor surrounds me like a shield.”ÂHave a Blessed Day Everyone!!!
