  • “An Identical Spirit”

Bishop Houston's Monday Morning Blog New Poster
    Praise the Lord Beloved!!!

    Happy Monday to you all.

You know, when you agree to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit makes His home inside of you. That’s the same identical Spirit and the same identical power that raised Jesus from the dead. That resurrection power can bring back your health, your strength and life to your physical body, and it can bring back life to your confidence and visions. In fact, it can bring life to any area that may seem undeveloped on the inside of you!!!

So, the next time you feel overcome by sickness, trials or hopelessness, remember, as a believer in Jesus, the same identical Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you!!! You may have been troubled by an addiction, distress, apprehension or illness, but there’s nothing that can stand against the power of God!!! So, today Beloved, intensify your intestinal fortitude and put a voice to faith: “He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. I am restored and healed because the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me!!!”

    Have a Blessed Monday Everyone.
  • “Walking Over The Belief Stripe”

    30656486_10211168766311218_5344826361645105152_n

    Praise the Lord Beloved!! 😀
    Happy Friday to you all.

You know, in the years since I’ve given my life over to God, there’s something I’ve learned to do that helps me accept the things of God from God when I’m going through some tough circumstances. It’s something I’ve implemented several years ago I call, walking over the belief stripe.

A “belief stripe” is what you need when you want God to do the “incredible” in your life. It’s what you need when you want to be strong in your faith especially when you’re indecisive about something-you know, go back and forth between your circumstances and God’s promises, believe one thing one moment, then believe something else.

Walking over the belief stripe helps you have the same faith as Abraham. You see, Abraham had natural facts to deal with just like we do. He knew there was no natural way for God’s promise to him to become true. Yet the Word says Abraham considered not his own body.

In other words, Beloved, Abraham ignored the natural evidence around him and believed only God’s promise.
Somewhere he walked over the “belief stripe”.
He made a permanent decision to go with the Word of God. He made a final commitment. He chose to walk past the point of no return. If you and I are ever going to see God do the impossible in our lives, we’re going to have to do the same thing!!! 😀

Beloved, this weekend why don’t you walk over the belief stripe?

Now, there may be someone out the asking: “Bishop Houston how do I walk over the belief stripe?
“Well I’m Glad You Asked.” 😀

It starts with the Word. Search the promises of God and purposely believe what He said, and is saying, about your need. Meditate on those promises until your trust, confidence and belief intensifies in your heart.

Then boldly walk over the belief stripe. Walk over it in your mind. You must become expressive with it!!! Walk over it as you walk the floor in your prayer room. Say: “I believe God exist, I believe angels exist in this room as I pray, and I believe that the devil exists and is watching is watching me as I walk over my belief stripe. From this moment on, I consider this matter done!!! From this day forward, I give God my admiration because I believe in His splendor in the Name of Jesus!!!”

And from that moment on, only say things as if your miracle has already happened.

Believe me Beloved, when you walk over that belief stripe, the Word of God greets you and then walks every step of the way with you. As you gain strength in your belief in God, turning your back on your complications-issues, and on the doubts become less complicated and easier to face.
Beloved, God “will” do the impossible in your life. But you must walk over the belief stripe. 😀

Have a blessed weekend Everyone!!! 😀
  • “Turn Away From Discord”

New Morning blog Picture Black History

Praise the Lord Beloved!!! I hope you had a blessed weekend.

This morning, my morning Bible reading was a great one. It was Proverbs 20:3 (AMP).
It says: “It is an honor for a man to keep away from strife [by handling situations with thoughtful foresight], But any fool will [start a] quarrel [without regard for the consequences]. (Proverbs 20:3 AMP)

Beloved as we start another week, let us start it by standing on the foundation of peace.
You know in life, many of the challenges we face are basically disturbances from the enemy to keep us from pursuing our calling. This week you may encounter someone on your job that isn’t as friendly to you as you’d like. You may encounter a neighbor who always parks in front of your house or blocks your mailbox. Those things may be frustrating, but they have little implication when you look at the big picture of eternity. Beloved, you can’t allow the little things to cause discord in your life.

The Bible tells us, just before David fought the giant Goliath, his brother Eliab tried to confront him. But David knew that arguing with Eliab wasn’t even worth his time and strength. He knew his real battle was with Goliath, and he didn’t want to be distracted. He simply “turned away” from Eliab and kept his focus on what he was called to do.

Beloved, as we start this week, let’s follow the example of David and keep our eyes on what’s most important in life. Instead of being led away by frustrations, let’s focus on the big picture. Know when to turn away from discord and receive the mark of honor the Lord has for you!!!

    Have a blessed week Everyone!!!

  • Bishop Houston’s “Weekend Word”

    Black history Month Weekend word

Praise the Lord Beloved!!! Another weekend and what a great day to serve God!!!

A few days ago, I was having a conversation with a young man and he told me he trusted Jesus, but he didn’t trust the others writers of the Bible. He went on to explain and give his reasons. I let him say all that he had to say. He criticized all the writers from the Old Testament to the New Testament.

Then I told him that I had a problem with his logic.

Beloved, Jesus trusted the Bible. EVERY WORD OF IT!!!
He taught that the Bible was a unique book, above all the others.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:18 (NIV), “For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished”.

Jesus says the Bible will last until the end of time. It will accomplish what God wants to accomplish in this world. In John 10:35a (NLT) Jesus said, “And you know that the Scriptures cannot be altered.” Beloved, Jesus proclaimed the truth of the Bible. And when Jesus talks about the truthfulness of the Bible, we need to listen. You see, when Jesus talked about the Bible with people, he would often base his argument about the truth of the Bible on a single sentence or even a single word from the Bible. He believed every single sentence, every single word of Scripture. So, if I trust Jesus, why wouldn’t I trust the Bible? 😀

When Jesus talked about the Bible, he talked about it as if the people and events in it were real. He talked about all the prophets being real. He talked about Daniel being real. Jesus believed in Noah and everything that happened with the flood. He believed in Adam and Eve. He believed in the tragedy of Sodom and Gomorrah. He believed that Jonah was swallowed by a large fish.

Beloved, if Jesus really believed in Jonah, then I should, too. I don’t know how God created a fish that could swallow a guy, but he did.

I trust what’s in the Bible because Jesus trusted in it. Beloved this weekend trust what’s in the Bible and let it change your life.

    Have a Blessed Weekend Everyone.

  • “Are You Guilty of Spiritually Wounding”

Sunday Morning A Call for Devotion Logo PictureFocal Text: Ephesians 2:19 (AMP)
19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens [outsiders without rights of citizenship], but you are fellow citizens with the saints (God’s people), and are [members] of God’s household,

Praise the Lord Beloved!!! Happy Sunday to you.

Today, I am going to talk to you briefly about spiritually wounding a brother or sister.

You know Beloved, there’s a devilish preconception in many churches and ministries that denies the blood to its uncomely members.

You see, if a person has a failure in an area we relate to because we have a similar weakness we immediately praise God for the blood that cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Now, if they’re unfortunate to fail where we’re very strong, then we deny them the blood
Beloved, I want you to know that we’re guilty of intensely spiritually wounding them. We have spilled our brother’s or sister’s blood because they’re different, because their sin is different from ours.

But let me tell you right here just in case you didn’t know, by the blood of the lamb, “ANY” man or woman regardless of his or her failures or past sin, can come equally and unashamedly to the foot of the cross and allow the drops of Jesus’ blood to invigorate the soul that sin has lacerated and destroyed.

Beloved, allow me to ask you this question: have you ever been guilty of having a condescending attitude about another person’s weakness? How can we dare to think we can access the soul-cleansing blood that delivers us from the cesspool of our secrete sins, and then look down on another member of Christ’ in disdain?

Beloved, Jesus’ blood was shed to cleanse everyone not just  certain ones.

From the Bishop, W. F. Houston, Jr. Ministry,
    have a blessed Sunday.

  • “Let the Exposure Begin”

    Morning Blog1 Timothy 2:3-4
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Hello friends!!! I hope you had a great weekend.
On yesterday I spoke with a few people at a restaurant after my morning message to a great congregation in Miamisburg Ohio. After church a few of its members invited the First Lady and I to a wonderful Mexican restaurant (Chuy’s). As we all set there talking about the message and other church things, the people setting around our tables started to engage themselves in our conversation. I had no idea that, so many were listening to our conversation until the questions started. 😀 I found myself in a question and answer forum right there in the restaurant.
    ALL GLORY GOES TO GOD!!!

As I talked with them I couldn’t help but notice how many of them have gone to great lengths to squeeze knowledge from God when all they needed to do is go to the Bible.

Beloved, God’s not holding Himself back from anyone. It’s His will for every man and woman to walk in exposure with Him. One of the statements made to me yesterday was from a gentleman who said: “Well Bishop, Houston- that is your name, correct?” I responded with a smile and a “yes.” He said, “God’s not going to give everyone that’s a sinner in here a revelation.”  And I responded with a question to him, “Really?” Then I asked him a few more questions. I asked, “Why do He think God sends His chosen ministers, to preach to the sinners? Why do you think He sent His Word?” He sent the Word to expose what we hide.

He sends His ministers to reveal the truth!!!

Beloved, if you want to know the truth, just open the Book and read it. All of it!!! Not just the parts that are in red. Those aren’t the only parts Jesus said. He said everything in Genesis. He said everything in Exodus. He said everything in Numbers. He said everything in Deuteronomy. He said everything in Leviticus. He said everything in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. He said everything in Romans. He said everything in the Book. That’s’ because He’s the Word!!!  In fact, if you’ll read Galatians 3, you’ll discover that every promise made to Abraham was for Jesus!!! It was the promises that brought Him. It was the promises that enabled Him to heal and deliver people. He didn’t minister by some special power no one else could have. He based His ministry on the exposures He’d received through faith in the written Word of God. You see, when the devil came to tempt Him, He didn’t fight him off with a special legion of angels who’d been assigned to protect Him because He was God’s Son. He fought him off with the phrase, “It is written.”

Beloved, God has equipped you to do the same. He’s given you His written Word, and He’s given you His Holy Spirit to help you understand it. He’s more than ready to give you the knowledge you need.  Beloved, we don’t have to squeeze it out of Him. All we have to do is just open the Book and let the exposure begin.

Have a wonderful Monday and great week ahead!!! 😀

  • “On One Accord”

    Breaking Bread with Bishop Houston

    CHOF Ministry’s Scripture for Today:
    Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)
A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.

    Praise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀
Let me start out by asking you a question.

Beloved, have you ever tried something, and got the great results you were looking for and then went out and tried to apply the same method for the same thing again and then get a different outcome?

Well, in the Bible, this happened to Moses also. You see, they needed water and God told Moses to go and hit the rock. Moses hit the rock and water poured out without any restrictions. Then, there was another time they needed some water again, and God told Moses, “Speak to the rock.” Do you know what Moses did? He went over and hit the rock. You see, Moses thought, “Hitting the rock worked the last time I’ll hit it again and it will work this time also.” Well, it didn’t. You see, God had another strategy.

Beloved, the point I’m trying to make here is, we have to stay ready in season and out of season so that we can make modifications to stay in tune with God’s blueprint. You can do the same thing the same way you did last time and get different results. It might not be something major, but just like Moses, maybe it’s just something small. Beloved, sometimes a small twist, or a little fine-tuning can make a major difference in the outcome.

So today my friends, make sure you aren’t doing things just because it’s the way you always did it before. Instead, listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit of God inside you. Follow His lead and stay on one accord with the awesome blueprint He has for you!!!

Have a Blessed Day Everyone!!! 😀

  • Ruined Godly Foundations

    Praise the Lord Everyone. 😀

Beloved, God’s Word is a stabilizer in our lives.
Within its pages we find comfort, strength, and guidance for every situation in life.
But if we choose to live without the Bible, we won’t have the guarantee of God’s promises to help us through hard times.
Today’s Video is entitled: “Ruined Godly Foundations”

    Have a blessed Sunday. 😀
