“There’s a Reason for Seasons”
Happy Monday. 😀You know this morning’s scripture is generally credited to King Solomon, who was famous for his wisdom. King Solomon had everything his heart desired including an empire, knowledge, resources and physical assets. This scripture and an earlier passage of scripture (*1) define for us life on this earth. There are seasons in all our lives, times of joy and mourning, times to reminisce and move on, times to be desired and desire others.Beloved, the purpose for God giving us seasons is so that in the good times we can praise Him and give thanks for the things He has given us, in the good times and in the bad times, we can turn to God in faith and realize that living in this world is very brief. There’ll be times when we’ll seem to have it all together. We’ll also have times when things won’t seem to go right. So, in this life, receive the seasons as they come. Never give in to desolation, and remember this life is but a moment compared to eternity. One day, the things of this world will pass away, and we’ll live in a splendid perpetuity with the Lord who made us and loves us so very much. Amen? 😀 Aaamen. 😀Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them, BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE TOO LATE.I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a Brilliant Monday.CHOF Ministry’s Cross Reference Scriptures*1. Ecclesiastes 1:4-7 -
“If It Wasn’t for Noah”

Beloved, one of the dirtiest, most detrimental lies that the devil ever told you was when he said, “You aren’t important.” Beloved, don’t you ever believe that!!! You’re important!!! Every born-again member who believes in Jesus Christ has a part to play in God’s plan. God has something for you to do that no one else can do just like you can. If you don’t take your place and do your part, things won’t be quite right. Now, I can just hear you thinking, “Bishop Houston, I’m just one person. What could I conceivably do that could be so noteworthy? “WELL I’M GLAD YOU ASKED? 😀You’ll see the answer to that question in Genesis 6. There you’ll see that the people on the earth had gotten so evil and corrupt that God had regretted that He’d made them. He was ready to wipe the whole population out, “But He Didn’t”!!! Why? Because of one man: Noah!!! 😀 One obedient man saved the human race. Think about that. What if Noah had said, “Well, this is just too much pressure for me. I can’t live upright before God in the middle of this unreasonable generation. I mean, everyone around me is living the other way. Every man around me imagines only evil in his/her mind and emotions. I can’t make any difference in this dark world anyway. I’m just one man.”
Praise the Lord Noah didn’t say that!!! He didn’t picture himself as an unimportant man whose life didn’t matter. According to Hebrews, he saw himself as a man to whom God had spoken and by faith, he obeyed God. And because of that he ended up being the only thing that stood between mankind and total destruction.
Beloved, the next time you’re tempted to ignore the instructions of God and be disobedient, the next time you catch yourself thinking, it doesn’t matter what I do — just remember Noah. 😀 Consider the fact that, whether you understand it or not, God’s counting on you to carry out your part of His plan. Live like you’re someone important in the kingdom of God. And sooner or later you’ll realize, you are.
Amen? – AAAmen… 😀Let Us Pray: Dear Heavenly Father thank You for believing, trusting and having confidence in me when so many don’t or have doubts about who I am today. Thank You for trusting me with Your spiritual commands and blessing me with the required gifts to achieve my spiritual duty. I’ll continue to stay focus on You and be obedient to Your directives regardless if I understand them or not.
In Jesus’ Name I pray Amen and Amen.Beloved, life is very short. It comes and goes like an unannounced gust of wind. None of us know the hour or day when that gust of wind will be permitted to enter our room and blow out our earthly light. So today, reach out and touch someone and tell them you love them,
BECAUSE TELLING THEM LATER JUST MIGHT BE – TOO LATE.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! And Have a Blessed Sunday Everyone. 😀

“Genuine and Accurate”

Praise the Lord Beloved. It’s Friday and the weekend is upon us once again. For those of us that know the Fifer Family in Kerrville, Texas let us keep them in our prayers as they mourn the transition of a true gentle giant Maceo Fifer. (R.I.H. Bunny). You know Beloved, there are times in all our lives when we struggle with knowing if God is truly with us or not. And it’s during the course of each day that we experience, we have moments in which things just keep us from trusting that God’s in control and that He’s piloting our lives. Isaiah had it right, in that he knew what he had to do, and we can learn from his example also. Beloved, God has given each of us some pretty amazing moments, and when we struggle it helps to remind ourselves of those things. In all things God’s genuine and accurate, and we can embrace Him, just as Isaiah did. There were many times when I felt as if I was on my own, on an island alone, but God was always there willing to take the wheel if I let him do so.Beloved, this weekend if you start to feel lonely, left out, or on an island by yourself, remember God is there with you also and He’s prepared to help you get back on course if you’ll recognize Him and allow Him to direct you.I love you all, and have a blessed weekend. -
“A Definitive Oxymoron Statement”

Praise the Lord everyone!!! 😀
Happy Friday. 😀Beloved, to many people today, think this is a definitive oxymoron statement: in order for Christians to find life, we’re instructed to lose it for His sake. Sounds confusing to you? Well if it does, it’s because in today’s society the philosophy promotes principles that injects a mentality attitude that’s totally opposite, different and contradicting to this command. Today’s culture teaches principles about how to be selfish instead of to sacrifice. People in today’s society are told it’s not about what they can give but what they’re entitled to receive. That life isn’t about submitting to God’s authority but rather enjoying their legal rights and benefits as a Christian. Beloved, if we all continue to think this way, soon there’ll be no more Christians willing to serve others. If we really want to find true life, we must start by denying ourselves and take up the cross. In Matthew 19:21 (NLT), Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” So Beloved, we have to let go of pride (arrogance – ignorance) and God may even require us to release all possessions to Him. We need to realize that our life doesn’t belong to us but to God and He bought us at a price. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT) says: *19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, *20 for God bought you with a high price. So, you must honor God with your body.
Beloved, if we live, we should live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for Him
As we go into this weekend let us keep Romans 14:8 (NLT) on our hearts:
If we live, it’s to honor the Lord. And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.I love you all!!! And have a blessed Weekend Everyone. 😀

“Remove The Limits Off Your Testimony”

Romans 3:3, (AMP)
3 What then? If some did not believe or were unfaithful [to God], their lack of belief will not nullify and make invalid the faithfulness of God and His word, will it?You know Beloved, there will always be critics and pessimists in life. It’s not what’s said about you that affects your life, but what you say and believe about yourself. Beloved, have the opinions of other people caused you to water down your dreams, or your message? Have you allowed the censorship of the critics to turn your testimony into a testiphony? You know, one of the most important things you can learn is that other people don’t have to believe in you in order for your visions-ideas or your message to come to pass. Other people don’t set the limits for your life, “YOU DO. In Romans 3:3, the Apostle Paul is saying, “It doesn’t matter if other people don’t believe. Their unbelief isn’t going to keep me from believing in my visions.” When God sit a promise in your heart (mind and emotions), it’s not up to other people to bring it to pass. It’s up to you!!! You don’t need everyone to validate, legalize, or confirm who you are or what you do. You just continue to follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps.Beloved, God sees the hidden treasures (knowledge, information, unmeasured creativity, Agape, loyalty, wisdom and resources) that you’ve had buried on the inside of you for years, decades. He wants to bring those treasures out and make your thoughts – visions and your visions – a reality!!! As you get rid of old, defeated thoughts and replace them with what God says about you, you’ll remove the limits and live the abundant life God has in store for you!!! I Am a living witness, and this is my testimony. To God Be the Glory!!! -
“God Knows What’s Best”

You know after being granted salvation, I wanted to preach and teach in my own church (the physical building). I started out paying for my clergy credentials. While many laughed at me and made fun of my initial clergy credentials, they qualified me to be a State approved minister. I wanted more!!! I wanted to be known as the “Great Bishop, Dr.” of my own Christian edifice. So the hostile sarcasm of family members and some so called friends about my ministry credentials became my strength and stepping stones to pursue my degrees. So, I decided to take classes to get my B.A. in Christian Ministries which led me to gain my M.Div… So, as I was studying to get my Masters, I was also getting knowledge and experience in podcasting, and web design. One day while talking to a fellow clergy-man who’s also a family member set a vision in front of me about a social media ministry. Now, this wasn’t what I wanted to do. I had very little computer knowledge or online skills plus it was a few months before I was to go look at a building to establish a physical church. But, little did I know God had other plans laid out for me. I ended up not going to look at the building but instead went into studying to gain more knowledge on public speaking, podcasting, producing, blogging, videography, and web design. Over 10 years later, I’m known humbly as Bishop, Houston to some and Unka Burnie to others. I now have an online ministry that delivers Christian – spiritual podcast, teachings, sermons, devotions, inspirations, video slideshow presentations, music and more.Looking back, I could’ve stubbornly stuck with my original plans. Had I followed through, my life at this present time would be very different. I realized the one thing I really wanted to happen, was the best thing that never happened.Beloved, God knows what’s best for us, but we need to have faith and the humility to follow His will as He steers and guides our paths.Have a blessed week Everyone. 😀 -
“A Faith That’s Rooted”

Praise the Lord Everyone. 😀
I hope everyone had a blessed weekend. You know Beloved, when we make our desires known to the Lord or say we believe that He’ll do something for us, doubting His ability to deliver His promises must cease. Faith is our spiritual assurance of things expected and the guarantee of things unseen. As believers in Christ, we should believe enthusiastically and not allow an ounce of uncertainty to sneak in. Faith gives us a certain degree of peace and comfort, whereas doubt causes uncertainty, worry and anxiety. Sure, we may have experiences and situations that may make us want to question our maker, yet, even in the severest most painful situations, He’s there with us. We need to rely less on this world and stand firm in our faith. The outcome of our faith is what draws new believers to Christianity, and our testimonies of holding on to God daily, inspire and motivate those around us. We’ve seen throughout the Bible, a common trait of every man and woman of God is their faith. A faith that’s rooted like a tree planted by the river.
Beloved, we should seek to emulate those who have left us with examples of how to live Godly lives. All in all, we should continue to place our requests before the Lord “With Faith” knowing full well that at the appointed time, He’ll answer us.
Have a blessed week Everyone. 😀

“Faster Than You Think”

Praise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀 Happy Friday to you all. 😀
Beloved, do you realize that as a believer in Jesus, you have a tremendous advantage in life? 😀 The Creator of the universe isn’t only fighting your battles, but He’s lining up the right people, the right breaks, and the right opportunities to move you forward. You may be facing a situation right now that looks like it’s never going to turn around, but I believe that you’re going to see some remarkable changes quicker than you think. You’re going to come out of debt faster than you think. You’re going to achieve your goals much faster than you think. That connection is going to be reestablished faster than you think!!!
Beloved remember, God “is not” slow in keeping His promise. I believe we’ve entered into a time where we’re going to see the hand of God move like never before. He’s going to open up doors that no man can shut. He’s going to turn terrible state of affairs around and take you places that you never imagined.
So, as you enter into this weekend and as you go through the weekend, I want you all to be aware that it’s time to get ready for more of God’s favor because that breakthrough is going to happen faster than you think!!!Have a blessed Weekend Everybody!!! 😀

“Release the Movement”

Hebrews 12:1-2
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.Praise the Lord Beloved!!! 😀
This morning I’m going to speak on disciplining the flesh. For many believers (including myself) disciplining the flesh stirs memories of frustration and failure. Many (like myself) know it’s important. The Word of God clearly teaches that. But for many, they’re not sure exactly how to go about it. Some have given up, brushing off such discipline as impossible. Others are still fighting stubbornly to get their flesh under control and losing one battle after another.
This morning I’m here to tell you, it doesn’t have to be that way. In fact, we can’t afford to let it be that way. It will cost us too much.
You see, you and I are blessed to be part of the generation that will see the signs and wonders which the prophets of old wished they could’ve lived long enough to see. We’ll witness the Spirit of God poured out upon all flesh. But sin hinders the Spirit’s movement. And only as we rid ourselves of it will the power and glory of God be manifest through us. Only then will we experience the glorious things that are prophesied to take place in our generation.
So Beloved, put your past failure behind you. Make up your mind that you’re not going to let the sins of the flesh rob you of the glory of God. It’s possible to step out of the sin you’ve struggled with for so long and live under the Spirit’s control.
Look to Jesus!!! 😀 He’ll show you how.
Have a blessed Tuesday Everyone!!! 😀
