🌟 Good morning, Beloved! 🌅 Today, let us reflect on the purpose of our faith, remembering that it’s not about what we receive but about glorifying the One who is worthy of all praise.
💡”Faith is not a transaction; it’s a testimony of God’s glory in our lives.”
– Bishop W. F. Houston Jr.
📖 Divine Revelation:
“And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.” – Luke 1:6-7 (KJV)
💡 Now, let’s explore our Philosophical Term for today: “Divine Purpose”
Divine Purpose speaks to living a life aligned with God’s greater plan, not for the rewards we think we deserve, but to reflect His glory. It invites us to see beyond temporary desires and trust in the eternal significance of our faith.
Imagine Zechariah and Elizabeth’s story. They were faithful, upright, and lived in a way that glorified God. Yet, despite their blameless walk, they faced the deep heartache of barrenness—a challenge that could have easily led to doubt or discouragement. They could have questioned why their faithfulness didn’t bring the blessings they longed for.
Beloved, have you ever found yourself in a similar place? You’ve done everything “right,” walked faithfully, and waited patiently, yet the outcome you hoped for hasn’t come to pass. The lesson here is profound: our faithfulness is not a formula for receiving the blessings we desire but an offering to glorify God.
Zechariah and Elizabeth’s story didn’t end in disappointment. In their old age, God fulfilled His promise in a way that exceeded their expectations. But even if He hadn’t, their lives would still have been a testament to His glory.
🌟 Think of a candle burning in the dark. The candle doesn’t choose how brightly it shines or what it illuminates—it simply burns, fulfilling its purpose.
Like that candle, our lives are meant to glorify God, even when the circumstances seem dim. Faithfulness is not about achieving a specific outcome but about reflecting the light of God’s presence. Zechariah and Elizabeth didn’t glorify God to receive a child; they glorified Him because He is worthy. And in God’s perfect timing, He gave them a blessing that would impact generations—John the Baptist.
Trust that your faithfulness is not in vain. God sees your devotion, your struggles, and your perseverance. Even when the blessings you expect don’t arrive, know that your life shines brightly for His glory.
🙏🏿 Let Us Go Into The Throne Room of Grace and Mercy:
Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, even when life doesn’t meet our expectations. 🙌🏾 Teach us to live not for rewards but for Your glory. Remind us that our purpose is found in You, not in what we receive. Thank You for the example of Zechariah and Elizabeth, whose lives reflected unwavering devotion. Help us to trust Your timing and plan, knowing that You work all things for our good and Your glory. To God Be The Glory! 🙏🏿
🌅 Beloved, as you step into today, remember that your faithfulness is not in vain. Shine brightly for God’s glory, trusting that His promises will come to pass in His perfect timing.
Have a Blessed Friday Everyone! 🕊️ 💛 😊
