🌞 Good morning, beloved. As we gather today, let us open our hearts and minds to the wisdom of God’s Word.
Romans 12:2 (CSB):
“Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”
This verse calls us to rise above societal norms and renew our minds with God’s wisdom. It challenges us to discern and pursue what is good and pleasing to God, rather than conforming to the world’s negativity.
Beloved, in our Black-American society, spiritual degradation is an elephant in the room—an issue often ignored but too significant to overlook. This degradation manifests as jealousy, inferiority, and internal division, which hinder our growth and unity. We need to change these dynamics by embracing God’s wisdom and fostering positive relationships.
Our Black-American forefathers and mothers established our culture on God, the Bible, and prayer.
Today, we must reclaim this foundation and drain the well of spiritual degradation that has taken root. By doing so, we can heal our community and thrive in unity and unconditional love.
Friends, our culture is at a crossroads. We must address the spiritual degradation that plagues us, the elephant in the room that can no longer be ignored. This issue concerns personal failings and a collective need to return to our spiritual roots. Our forefathers and mothers built our culture on God, the Bible, and prayer, not on public criticism and division. We must strive to emulate their faith and unity.
The negativity that has been bred among us must be replaced with positive collaboration and respect for differing perspectives. We need to challenge ourselves to balance authenticity with grace, to keep it real while maintaining positive relationships. The elephant in the room underscores the importance of respecting differing perspectives, allowing both sides to share their viewpoints, and fostering a supportive environment for growth and learning. It also speaks to the broader issue of representation and autonomy in our Black-American culture, prompting reflection on how we navigate our roles in shaping narratives and perceptions.
Friends, let us embrace the challenge of renewing our minds and spirits. Through God’s grace and mercy, we can transform our Black American communities and see healed landscapes. Let us drain the well of spiritual degradation and cultivate a culture rooted in faith, hope, and love.
To God be The Glory. 🙏🏿
