🌞 Good Morning, Blessed Souls! 🌞

“Staying Out of Other People’s Fights”

📖 Scriptural Insight:

Proverbs 14:15 (CSB) – “The inexperienced one believes anything, but the sensible one watches his steps.”🌟

C H O F Ministry’s Synopsis:
This verse advises us to be cautious and discerning rather than naive. It highlights the importance of thoughtful consideration before jumping into situations, especially conflicts that do not concern us directly.🕯️

Bishop Houston’s Contemplation:
Have you ever found yourself getting drawn into a conflict that has nothing to do with you? Maybe it’s a disagreement between two friends, a heated debate on social media, or a family feud that’s been going on for years. It’s easy to get sucked in, isn’t it? We might think we’re helping by offering our two cents or taking sides, but often we’re just stirring up more trouble.

Proverbs 14:15 warns us against being “simple”—in other words, naive or foolish. When we jump into a conflict without thinking it through, we’re being simple. We’re not considering the consequences of our actions or the potential damage we might cause. We’re not thinking about whether our involvement is truly necessary or beneficial.

On the other hand, the “prudent” person gives thought to their steps. They take a step back, assess the situation, and ask themselves some hard questions. “Is this really my business?” “Will my involvement help or hurt the situation?” “Am I motivated by a desire to help or a desire to be right?”

Getting involved in a conflict that has nothing to do with us can lead to all sorts of problems. We might damage relationships, create new conflicts, or even hurt our own reputation. And for what? So, we can say we were “right”? So, we can feel important or needed?

The truth is, there are times when it’s best to stay out of other people’s fights. It’s okay to say, “This isn’t my battle to fight.” It’s okay to focus on our own relationships, our own problems, and our own growth. In fact, that’s often the most prudent thing to do.

So, the next time you’re tempted to get involved in a conflict that has nothing to do with you, take a deep breath and remember Proverbs 14:15. Be prudent. Give thought to your steps. Ask yourself if your involvement is truly necessary. And if the answer is no, then stay out of it. Trust that God is big enough to handle the situation without your help.

Let Us Go into The Throne Room of Grace and Mercy.

Lord, help me to be prudent and wise in my interactions with others. Give me the discernment to know when to get involved and when to stay out of it. Help me to focus on my own relationships and my own growth, rather than getting tangled up in conflicts that have nothing to do with me. 🙏🏿

Have a Blessed Wednesday Everyone! ✝️ 🕊️ 💙 😊
